Three British news organizations reported Saturday that one woman alleged she had been raped, while three others accused him of sexual assault.

Russell Brand is denying sexual assault allegations made against him. In a video posted to his social media accounts, the star said he "absolutely refutes" the sexual assault claims and said his relationships have all been consensual. The video comes as a result of a joint investigation published by the Times of London, The Sunday Times and Channel 4 Dispatches that reports multiple women have accused Brand of sexual assault, including rape. "These allegations pertain to the time when I was working in the mainstream, when I was in the newspapers all the time, when I was in the movies. And as I've written about extensively in my books, I was very, very promiscuous. Now during that time of promiscuity, the relationships I had were absolutely, always consensual. I was always transparent about that then — almost too transparent. And I'm being transparent about it now as well. And to see that transparency metastasized into something criminal, that I absolutely deny," he said in part.
