قبل و خلال و بعد تأسيس دولة الاحتلال "إسرائيل" ما بين عام 1947-1949 اندلعت حرب ابادة وفي أعقابها تم إخلاء مئات القرى الفلسطينية من سكانها (اكثر من 530 قرية و مدينة). بالنسبة للمستوطنين الإسرائيليين كانت تسمى "حرب الاستقلال" بينما يسميها الفلسطينيون السكان الأصليين النكبة. هذه قصة إحدى هذه القرى: الطنطورة. يفحص الفيلم الوثائقي سبب كون النكبة من المحرمات في المجتمع الإسرائيلي المحتل ويستكشف عدم قدرة دولة الاحتلال "إسرائيل" على التصالح مع ماضيها المظلم.

The Tantura massacre took place on the night of 22–23 May 1948 during the 1948 Palestinian Genocide, when around 200 Palestinians from Tantura were massacred by the Israeli Occupation Force's Alexandroni Brigade.
