MINNEAPOLIS — — A’ja Wilson had 29 points, 15 rebounds and four blocks, Jackie Young added 19 points and 10 assists, and the Las Vegas Aces beat the Minnesota Lynx 80-66 on Wednesday night.
Las Vegas had its nine-point halftime lead trimmed to 56-54 with 1:28 left in the third quarter before Kate Martin sank a corner 3-pointer from the corner and Wilson beat the third-quarter buzzer with a layup for a 62-56 advantage.
The Aces continued to pull away in the fourth by extending their run to 20-5 to make it 77-61.
Kelsey Plum scored 10 points on 4-of-14 shooting for Las Vegas (4-1). Alysha Clark and Martin each finished with nine points.
Young narrowly missed her fifth straight game with at least 20 points and six assists. She is one of only two WNBA players to accomplish the feat in four consecutive games, joining Arike Ogunbowale in 2019.
Napheesa Collier had 18 points and 13 rebounds for Minnesota (4-2). Courtney Williams and Cecilia Zandalasini each scored 12, and Kayla McBride added 11.
Minnesota announced earlier in the day that forward Diamond Miller underwent successful surgery on her right knee.

RBS #37 Caitlan Clark scores 30 points and had 7 turnovers… Lose to the Sparks
Personally this is Cc best game as a pro but she needs to work on her turnovers. I give her a A for this game even though they lost to a team they should have beaten.
The Fever are now 1-7
In the battle of the top two picks from the 2024 WNBA draft on Tuesday night, Caitlin Clark won the battle, but Cameron Brink took the war.
Clark was mostly fantastic for the Indiana Fever, scoring a career-high 30 points to go along with six assists, five rebounds, three steals and three blocks and 7 turnovers . But Brink’s Los Angeles Sparks were better, winning 88-82 behind Aari McDonald’s 21 points off the bench.

Angel Reese made her home debut in Chicago on Saturday, and the Sky crowd was treated to some extracurricular activities during the opener.
With 3:41 to play in the third quarter, and Chicago trailing league-leading Connecticut by one, Reese jockeyed for position on an offensive rebound. Sun veteran Alyssa Thomas got tangled with the rookie on the box out and knocked Reese to the ground with her left arm, resulting in a flagrant 2 upon replay review and an ejection.

RBS Ep #28 ANGEL RESSE & CHICAGO SKY Defeat NEW YORK LIBERTY
NEW YORK (AP) — Teresa Weatherspoon said she’ll always be “Liberty for life.”
Her homecoming to New York was special for the first-year Chicago Sky coach as her team came away with a win.
Marina Mabrey had 21 points, seven assists and six rebounds to help the Sky beat the Liberty 90-81 on Thursday night.
“This was was really for her,” said Chicago guard Dana Evans, who added 12 points. “We really wanted this for her more than anything.”
Weatherspoon starred as a player for the Liberty in the WNBA’s early days. She helped New York reach the finals in three of the league’s first four years. She was the heart and soul of those teams and was always adored by the crowd.
Many of those same fans from 20 years ago were in the crowd Thursday night wearing Weatherspoon’s No. 11 jersey.
“I know those fans in there,” Weatherspoon said. “I know them, I know a lot of the faces. There was a connection. ... There’s a lot of love that we have for each other and I would lead by saying how much I love them and appreciate them and nothing will ever change that. Nothing.”
I’m going to show my love for them and show my appreciation to everyone in New York City,” Weatherspoon said. “I hope you see this and know I love you all very much from the bottom of my heart, me and my family.”

This is a WNBA problem for just focusing on 1 player who came with the Rookie Class.
Clark is still an average player who can shoot, NO DEFENSE.
What going to happen to the fan base in Indiana as they continue to LOSE?
There are a lot of Fake Caitlan Clark fans not because she can play basketball, it because she WHITE!
It all started when IOWA Lost to LSU.
Then again lose to South Carolina. That is 2 back to back NCAA finals Clark has lost

Seems like this whole Caitlan Clark being a great player or face of the WNBA is due to RACE.
It started the year before last because the attendance to IOWA games was wasn’t interesting until Iowa faced a dominant Black team.
The fans in 2023 made it all about Black vs White
Many may not want to admit it but it true.
The WNBA needs to understand that failure will hurt everyone. The WNBA was gonna thrive regardless because this class of 2024 Rookies been building the fan base solely because Of Social media and TIC TOK

Unless you watch this video , don’t say sniSTUPID!
She was a good college player but the WNBA is different. You fans made it White vs Black. Nobody last year was checking or going to IOWA games until they made it to the final 4.
And IOWA lost to LSU.
This year it was a race bait season, and the lost to South Carolina.
She has no defense at all. She definitely can play but wait and see.

Anthony AJ Joshua knockout Francis Ngannou , drop him 3 times
After shocking the world by knocking down Tyson Fury and losing a narrow split decision, Francis Ngannou looked to score his first professional boxing win when he took on Anthony Joshua on Friday in Saudi Arabia. Unlike the Fury fight, Ngannou found no success in the ring, suffering a knockout in the second round after a crushing right hand from the two-time former unified champ.
Ngannou came out light on his feet early, looking to throw left hooks and get inside Joshua's jab. Looking comfortable in just his second trip to the boxing ring, Ngannou suddenly switched southpaw. Moments later, Joshua feinted with a jab and Ngannou lowered his right hand to parry the strike that did not come, leaving him open to a right hand that sat him on the canvas for the first knockdown of the fight.
Ngannou managed to beat the referee's count and survive the opening round, but Joshua had laid the groundwork for what was to come. With Ngannou biting on nearly every Joshua feint, the end felt inevitable as the fighters walked to their corners.
In Round 2, Joshua again drove a right hand into Ngannou's head, dropping him for the second time in the fight. While Ngannou beat the count once again, he was unsteady on his feet and Joshua immediately took advantage, charging forward and landing a bomb of a right hand that sent Ngannou crashing to the canvas unconscious.

Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson is really happening -- here's what to expect..
According to ESPN
Mike Tyson is returning to the ring. Yes, you heard that right. Tyson will face Jake Paul in a boxing match on July 20 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, home of the Dallas Cowboys.
The YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul (9-1, 6 KOs) has said recently he wants to focus on fighting real boxers to eventually compete for a world title. Instead, he'll fight long-retired Tyson (56-6, 44 KOs), a former heavyweight champion and one of the best in boxing history. His last competitive fight was almost 19 years ago, a TKO loss to Kevin McBride in June 2005. Tyson will be 58 when the fight takes place.
Tyson participated in an eight-round exhibition bout with Roy Jones Jr. in July 2020, and while the fight exceeded expectations, no one was clamoring for more. During the height of his career, Tyson was one of the most feared fighters in boxing and earned the moniker as the "Baddest Man on the Planet." He was the undisputed heavyweight champion and still is the youngest fighter to win a heavyweight title in boxing history. After serving less than three years in jail for a rape conviction between 1992 and 1995, Tyson returned to the ring just five months later and, after two wins, regained the WBC title by defeating Frank Bruno in 1996.
After starting his boxing career facing fellow YouTubers and former MMA fighters, Paul, 27, lost a split decision to Tommy Fury in February 2023. Last August he faced another MMA fighter in Nate Diaz and stated he was going to change course with hopes of developing a true boxing career. He scored first-round KO wins over Andre August and Ryan Bourland since that point, fighting at the cruiserweight limit of 200 pounds.
All of this begs us to ask one question: Why is this happening?

Record point total in controversial NBA All-Star Game as the East defeats the West, 211-186
This is sad and definitely hurting the legacy of the NBA. 200 points 😳😳😳😳😳😳😳
—
A team exceeded the 200-point mark for the first time in NBA history as the Eastern Conference won the All-Star Game for the first time since 2014, beating the Western Conference 211-186 on Sunday in the annual showcase of the league’s premier talents.
The star-studded rosters featured some of the sport’s biggest names such as LeBron James, Steph Curry, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Nikola Jokić and Kevin Durant.
The scoring frenzy broke an array of records, per the NBA. The East’s point total was the highest ever, eclipsing the 196 set by the Western All-Stars in 2016, while the combined total of 397 surpassed the previous record of 374 set in 2017. The Eastern All-Stars also made a whopping 42 three-pointers to beat the record of 35 set in 2019.

RBS Ep #15 Lakers should trade Lebron or he will OPT OUT! Rich Paul meeting with the Knicks
Knicks, Klutch Sports ‘hashed out’ issues after Leon Rose-Rich Paul sit-down, removing potential trade obstacle
Agent Rich Paul met with team president Leon Rose on Friday, a source told The Post, and “things were hashed out” during the sit-down.
The hope is to move forward with a business relationship, per a source.
As The Post previously reported, Paul’s agency, Klutch, previously preferred its clients not to join the Knicks.
That included two players who’ve been recently on the trading block, Atlanta’s Dejounte Murray and Chicago’s Zach LaVine.
Paul, one of the most powerful agents in the NBA, has a long list of clients, most notably LeBron James, who faces the Knicks at MSG on Saturday.
A cooling with Klutch removes a potential obstacle as the surging Knicks, winners of an NBA-high nine straight, build out the roster.
Paul wouldn’t have blocked a deal, but there are potential landmines set if a player’s camp is against a move.
According to a Forbes list from last season, Paul had represented 37 players with $1.36 billion in contracts under his management.
