The Justice Friends are a group of superheroes who exist in the universe of Dexter's Laboratory who, aside from their eternal struggle against evil, must also learn to live together under one roof to face the challenges of everyday life. They are the main characters of the backup segments of Dexter's Laboratory.

Monkey is Dexter's Lab monkey, who secretly has superpowers, unbeknownst to Dexter, who often tries to give him powers via unusual experimentation. Monkey is considered the planet's greatest superhero. He stars in the backup Dial M for Monkey cartoons and occasionally appeared in several episodes of Dexter's Laboratory out of his superhero persona. He is voiced by Frank Welker. Working for Global Security, Monkey protects the world from intergalactic villains, large monsters, and natural disasters. He also has his arch-nemesis (who is a female duckling) called Quackor, who is owned by Dexter's arch-nemesis, Mandark.

Courage the Cowardly Dog has a lot of running gags. Among other things, Muriel uses vinegar in almost everything she makes. And almost everyone does not like vinegar. This includes liking what she makes and immediately hating it once they find out that there's vinegar in it.

Mr. Chips is the leader of many monkeys that work at the Proud Snax factory illegally. He often acts as Oscar's side-kick doing chores around the factory and at the Proud house usually involving something Proud Snax related. He often resents how Oscar barks orders at him, but usually complies and remains loyal. In the episode Monkey Business, he accidentally gets swapped out for another monkey belonging to the famous singer/actress Mariah Carey and briefly goes on an adventure of fame and fortune before being reunited with Oscar and returning to his duties at Proud Snax. Mr. Chips was once caught driving with a fake driver's license as a driver for Penny's "Get In" business venture, appointed by Oscar without the former's approval. This incident single-handedly sunk the company into bankruptcy and as a result, Oscar was arrested and booked in the Smith County Jail for fraud and reckless endangerment of an animal. Fortunately for Oscar, the charges were dropped and he resumed his normal life.

He is a 10-year-old who unwittingly always makes trouble for Oscar Proud, he also used to have a crush on Penny Proud and Zoey Howzer. Despite his age, he is very smart. He is also constantly telling Oscar he doesn't think he should do something but despite his warnings, Oscar does it anyway and gets hurt. Usually ending with: "I told you, Mr. Proud". He is also the only person who likes Proud Snacks. He often gets Oscar into trouble. He got him electrocuted, caught by Trudy when he was about to have an affair with two pretty girls, and attacked by a giant bird. His catchphrase is "Remember what happened last time", after reminding Oscar of the last time Oscar had done something that had gotten him hurt.

Regardless of the merit of the defendant's case, Trudy always finds in favor of the child, if necessary inventing reasons to do so, and sentences the adult to an absurd punishment. Watch where you're goin, ya fool! - Di Lung's main quote Di Lung is a recurring character and antagonist of Courage the Cowardly Dog. He tends to serve as something of a plot device in the series and sometimes serves an antagonistic role, such as turning Courage into a fly in Courage the Fly and creating Mecha Courage to replace him in Courage vs. Mecha-Courage.

Jim Lau as Mr. Fong, the owner of the Chinese restaurant where Chris works briefly. He works Chris very hard and shows no sympathy for Chris's problems. He calls Chris "Lionel Richie". He is first seen trying to operate the restaurant out of the family's upstairs room.

Ms. Vivian Morello, (simply better known as Ms. Morello) is a recurring character in Everybody Hates Chris. She was a teacher at Corleone Junior High School and later took up the job as the principal of Tattaglia High School. The role of Ms. Morello is portrayed by Jacqueline Mazarella. Ms. Vivian Morello is Chris's naively racist teacher, and later his high school principal. Due to her apparent attraction to African American men, she holds a soft spot for Chris and tries to support him at every opportunity (such as giving him a Valentine's Day card out of sympathy or giving him advice on running for the class president). In her efforts to be sweet, kind, and supportive, she makes statements that come off as racist which she can never really realize - such as saying that "black people" must wake up and work up fields before sunrise, that they have tendencies towards vandalism, criminality, and drugs, that they often lay used of lies and blackmail to rise in life, that Chris has no father and his mother is crack-addicted, and when Chris tries to tell her the truth, she assumes Chris is lying because "he is on drugs" -, most of which Chris tolerates. Chris Rock's narration often consists of him wanting to physically hurt her as well as making sarcastic remarks about her ethnicity as she does to him.

Tony Pajamas (played by Drake Bell) is an Italian mobster; sketches were parodies of the then-popular television series The Sopranos. People almost always pronounce his name wrong.

Examples include Lunchbay.com a eBay. com-type website where people sold their lunches to really weird kids, Meatloaf Crunch, a meatloaf-themed cereal, and Sick Popples, ice pops that caused sickness when eaten.

Nazz Van Fartanschmeer is the unattainable love interest in the show. Trendy and beautiful, she mostly hangs out with Kevin. All of the boys except Rolf and Jimmy are infatuated with her. Whenever one of the boys encounters her, they often begin to sweat and lose the ability to speak coherently. She is the head cheerleader at Peach Creek Jr. High. Although Nazz is usually depicted as sweet and smart, she can occasionally be somewhat eccentric and acts as the stereotypical "dumb blonde" and girl-next-door. She doesn't mind the Eds unless they bother her or her friends.

Dooper is a restaurant owned by a man and his daughter Doreen that serves different items every sketch. Whatever was offered, (i.e. ice cream, soup, sushi, cookie, jerky, weenies), was usually gross. Examples included spider crunch ice cream (with actual spiders), underwear chowder soup, thumbtack sushi rolls, electric zap cookies, rat jerky, and a weenie with dog food on it. On occasion, a customer would ask "Hey, didn't this used to be a (sushi, cookie, soup, etc) restaurant?" The employees would respond that it "wasn't their thing" and say that they're now (weenie, cookie, sushi, etc.) people. In later episodes, they would say things like "I'll thank you never to mention that again." At the end of the skit, the customer tries a special sample that tastes good — but has a surprise. After hearing the name of the sample, they will ask why it was named that, upon which the customer would have some calamity related to the name of the dish happen to him, such as being attacked by a samurai upon trying a "Samurai roll", or being punched by Abraham Lincoln upon trying "Lincoln Punch". A recurring gag is that the family's grandfather comes in from the back and the father responds "NOT NOW, GRANDPA". Grandpa usually responds with "FAILURE", which goes with their usually unsuccessful business. In the Souper Dooper sketch, he responds "I know where you live."
