What's the one thing most people get wrong about happiness?
What's the one thing most people get wrong about happiness?
One of the biggest misconceptions about happiness is that it's a fixed state you achieve, like finding a pot of gold. Many people believe happiness comes from external factors like getting a dream job, having more money, or reaching a certain milestone.
However, research suggests happiness is more about your mindset and daily practices. It's about cultivating a sense of gratitude, savoring positive experiences, and building strong relationships.
What's your happiest childhood memory?
Who is one person you're incredibly grateful for and why?
When was the last time you felt truly, deeply loved?
What is one dream you still hold onto, no matter how big or small?
Now let me ask you some other questions.
Is there a chance you're completely wrong about something you believe strongly in?
What accomplishment in your life are you most proud of, but others might not realize its significance?
Imagine you could be known for one thing, what would it be?
If you could eliminate one major source of stress in your life right now, what would it be?
What future goal are you most focused on achieving for peace of mind?
What kind of impact do you want to have on the people you care about?
If you had a free day with no obligations, what would your ideal way to spend it be?
Does social media actually connect us, or does it isolate us?
Let’s come together, build a community of people who want to lift each other up, work together, and fight for happiness each day together! Like Follow Comment and Share. We might not have all the perfect answers to life’s questions, but in the UvL community Its Us Versus Life! Join the worldwide movement. #uvl #USVERSELIFE #usversuslife *.*Rumble

No Garden, No Problem! Grow Veggies Anywhere
Even without a traditional garden, you can grow fruits and vegetables at home! Here are two popular methods:
Container Gardening: This involves planting in pots, buckets, or other containers. It's perfect for balconies, patios, fire escapes, or even sunny indoor spaces.
Choose vegetables suited to containers, like lettuce, spinach, kale, peppers, and cherry tomatoes. Opt for dwarf varieties of larger plants.
Select pots with drainage holes to prevent waterlogging. Use a good quality potting mix.
Place your pots in a sunny location, and water regularly according to the needs of your plants.
Indoor Gardening Methods: These are ideal for growing herbs and some vegetables year-round or in climates with short growing seasons.
Windowsill Gardening: Use a sunny windowsill for herbs like basil, mint, or chives. Rotate your plants for even growth.
Hydroponics: This method grows plants without soil using a mineral nutrient solution. It requires more setup but can be productive in small spaces.
Here are some additional resources to help you get started:

Honoring Memorial Day
#memorialday2024 is a day to remember and honor fallen soldiers who died while serving in the U.S. military. Here are some ways you can properly honor them:
Attend a ceremony or parade: Many towns and cities hold Memorial Day parades or ceremonies. Attending one is a great way to show your respect for those who served.
Visit a cemetery: You can visit a national cemetery or a local one to pay your respects. Placing flags or flowers on the graves of fallen soldiers is a common tradition.
Participate in the National Moment of Remembrance: At 3:00 pm local time on Memorial Day, a nationwide moment of remembrance is held. You can pause for a minute of silence wherever you are to reflect on the meaning of the day.
Learn about Memorial Day: Take some time to learn about the history of Memorial Day and the sacrifices made by fallen soldiers. You can find resources online or at your local library.
Honor veterans: While Memorial Day honors those who died serving, you can also take this opportunity to show appreciation to veterans who are still alive. Thank a veteran for their service or volunteer your time to help veterans organizations.

Game of Thrones Real Life Lessons from Westeros
Whether life imitates art or vice versa, that's a question that philosophers have been debating for centuries. There is no easy answer, but there is some evidence to suggest that both can happen. For example, some studies have shown that violence in the media can lead to increased aggression in viewers. On the other hand, there is also evidence that art can inspire positive change. For example, the civil rights movement was influenced by works of art such as "Uncle Tom's Cabin" and "Lift Every Voice and Sing."
Ultimately, whether life imitates art or vice versa is a complex question that there is no easy answer to. However, #gameofthrones does provide some interesting examples of how real-life parallels can be found in works of fiction.

Tick Season 2024 Arrives middle of May to mid August
Know where to expect ticks: Ticks are commonly found in wooded areas, brushy areas with high grass, and leaf litter. They are most active during the warmer months (spring and summer).
Treat clothing and gear with permethrin: Permethrin is an insecticide that kills ticks on contact. You can buy permethrin spray and treat your clothes, shoes, and camping gear.
Use insect repellent: Choose an EPA-registered insect repellent containing DEET (at least 20% concentration), picaridin, IR3535, Oil of Lemon Eucalyptus (OLE), para-menthane-diol (PMD), or 2-undecanone. Apply repellent to exposed skin and clothing according to the product instructions.
Avoid contact with ticks: Stay on the center of trails when hiking and avoid wooded areas with high grass. Tuck your pants into your socks and wear long sleeves and pants when outdoors in tick-infested areas.
Shower soon after being outdoors: Showering within 2 hours of being outdoors can help wash off unattached ticks and reduce the risk of infection.
Perform regular tick checks: After spending time outdoors, do a thorough body check for ticks, including your scalp, armpits, behind the ears, groin area, and between the legs. Use a mirror to check hard-to-see areas. @CDC #ticks
