National Geographic
A Canadian air force demonstration plane crashed in British Columbia on Sunday, killing one person and wounding another, during an operation aimed at raising the morale of the population during the Corona pandemic, according to the Canadian Army.
And the Royal Canadian Air Force tweeted Sunday night, "It is with great sadness that we announce the death of a member of the CF Snow Birds team and the serious injury of another, but his condition is stable."
Earlier Sunday afternoon, the Royal Canadian Air Force reported that a plane belonging to it had crashed near "Kamloops in British Columbia", about 450 kilometers east of "Vancouver."
The plane crashed shortly after taking off from Kamloops Airport, along with another plane, and landed in front of a house.
Pictures published by the local weekly "Kamloops This Week" showed the wreckage of the plane burning near a house that was partially set ablaze.
The website of the Quebec newspaper "La Press" published a video taken by a witness showing the two planes as they took off.
One of the pilots took off quickly before making a turn and exposure to an explosion that led to the crash of his plane, but one of the crew managed to get out of the plane using the technique of throwing and landing on the roof of a house with his parachute, according to the photos.
The two planes were to fly over British Columbia on Sunday, as part of the "Operation Inspiration" tour that was launched earlier this month, to honor the efforts of Canadians in the face of the Covid 19 epidemic.
The "Snow Birds" team, which consists of nine planes leaving white smoke in the sky, began its tour in Nova Scotia, as part of its mission to carry out air shows over the main cities in the country at low altitude and from east to west. News | Toronto - Canada (AFP)
