Alanvale and the Lazy Farmer

Time to replace the battery. The original lasted 11 years since I bought it and I don't know how long before that.

It's the end of May and the rains are two months late. We have only had 60mm in the last eight months. Could this turn out to be the driest month on record?

My last Doctor told me to exercise and lose weight. My new Doctor sent me for a stress ECG and I was told to go straight to hospital. (I went the next morning) The next day I was fitted with a pacemaker and home 24 hours after that. Exercise would have killed me! My pulse has now gone from 39 to 79 at rest. My oxygen is now in the normal range. In a few weeks I will be able to exercise and lose weight! My suggestion is go to the chemist and buy an oxymeter.

We had a drought year last year and my dam is empty but my water tanks are still full so it should be safe to use some on establishing a garden. First, we need a tap!

Dad had the bird cage there when he bought the house and he's asking me to move it. This would make an excelling beginning for a chook run.

I prefer to drive at night when there is less traffic but as you might expect, nocturnal animals are out and about.

It's old and it's heavy. It will take several trips to get the materials down from Perth but it's worth it.

It can only just be seen with the naked eye but how exciting to find out that the World Meteor Network Sites in Western Australia were the first to see the newest exploding star. There was partial vision at Darkan, Bindoon and Toodyay and a good clear view at Pemberton.

It's a bit rough but someone should run with it! That was a trap for young players. One mistake leads to others.

There's no water in the dam but the tanks are full so it's hand watering the fruit trees every week.

The first flight was really rough and I've just found the packing behind the gimbal so this one should be much smoother.

There was water in this Jerry Can but it may be gone now. It's still better to check.

I have no idea when this happened but somewhere in the past, I bought fuel that was polluted with water.

Jilly loves to lick out cups and whe she has finished she loves tearing them up even more. Pet bottles, paper cups food bags, you name it but in the long run it saves the furniture.

The land may well have been cleared 100 year's below but "things" still lurk where you least expect them.

Jilly likes to drag all kinds of smelly stuff inside. Road kill, sheep poo, eggshells, branches, you name it.

When you fill a raised bed with compostable materials, sooner or later you have to top it up.

Farmers, even lazy farmers always seem to work things out. Fortunately, Darkan has a couple of good engineering companies.

It's hard to park the ute with all this (good) junk in the shed. Let's move it to the wood shop.

We kept ringing the moving company to take them away then the phone stopped ringing. They'd gone bust.
