Gimli and Legolas travel to Helm's Deep after the warg attack. They prepare the keep for battle. Aragorn returns from his fall having landed in the river. He learns of the orcs marching on Helm's Deep. Elves from Rivendell arrive to aide the people of Rohan. Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli help the people of Rohan as the orcs arrive and scale the walls of the keep. The orcs blow a hole in the wall and begin to storm the keep. Our three heroes help to fortify the walls and hold off for one final charge against the orcs. While charging the orcs the sun rises and the Rohirrim arrive to turn the tide of the battle.

Gandalf, Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli all travel to Edoras and free the king from the grip of Isengard. The king then leads his people out of Edoras on their way to Helm's Deep. As they travel to Helm's Deep they are attacked by wargs. Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli join the fight against the wargs. While battling the wargs Aragorn defeats an orc but at a terrible cost. He is lost to the company leaving Legolas and Gimli to travel to Helm's Deep.

Frodo and Sam travel to Osgiliath only to realize that the gaze of Sauron lies upon the city. They can't enter until his gaze has moved. We turn to our other heroes Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli. They track Merry and Pippin as they have been taken by orcs on their way to Isengard. They enter Rohan and track the hobbits to a slaughter of orcs. The hobbits flee into Fangorn Forest and meet Treebeard. He is unsure if the hobbits are really hobbits. He takes them through the orc infested forest to meet with the white wizard. Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli meet with the same white wizard who turns out to be Gandalf come back to them. The episode ends with our heroes on their way to Edoras to offer aid to the King of Rohan.

Frodo and Sam follow Gollum into The Dead Marshes on their way to the Black Gate of Mordor. The way through the marshes is treacherous but Gollum knows the safe path. A Nazgul comes flying over the marshes sensing the ring and searching for it. Frodo and Sam must hide to keep out of the reach of the Nazgul. They reach the Black Gate only to have Gollum inform them that there is a secret way into Mordor. They travel towards this other path. While traveling they come upon evil men that are servents of Sauron. They have Oliphaunts and are traveling towards Mordor to join Sauron's forces. A group of men from Gondor led by Faramir attack these evil men and capture Frodo, Sam and Gollum. They then make their way toward Osgiliath.

Frodo and Sam continue their journey toward Mordor. Frodo remembers Gandalf's fall and in game play we see Gandalf defeat the Balrog. Frodo and Sam go in circles trying to find their way to the Black Gate. Gollum attacks them during the night and Frodo and Sam trap him and he begins to lead them to the Black Gate.

The Fellowship travels to Lothlorien receiving help from the elves. They then travel closer to Mordor and arrive at Amon Hen. Boromir is tempted by the Ring. In game play Frodo has to outsmart Boromir and escape. Aragorn, Gimli, and Legolas must come to help Frodo. The uruk-hai intercept the fellowship and are fought back but not without losses. Boromir is slain and Merry and Pippin are taken by the uruks on their way back to Isengard. Sam finds Frodo and begins a journey with Frodo together into Mordor. *A note to any that may be concerned about violence/gore in cut scenes with Boromir's death. There is no blood in Lego games. The mini figures burst apart into separate lego blocks. But in the cut scenes Boromir does take an arrow, a broom, and a banana as the three shots from an uruk-hai. Lego games try to make some intense scenes more comical for the younger players. The game is rated E-10+ for reasons like this though. This episode marks the end of game play through the first movie.

The Fellowship travels into the mines. Gimli is distressed at seeing his cousin is no longer alive ruling Moria. The mines are overrun with orcs. In game play we see the Fellowship battle the hordes of orcs and a cave troll. Then a balrog comes to fight the Fellowship. Gandalf tries mightily to stop the demon from reaching the Fellowship but in the process falls off the Bridge of Khazad-dum. The rest of the now grieving Fellowship escapes the mines and is ready to embark on the next phase of their adventure.

Arwen gets Frodo to Rivendell. A special council is held to determine what to do about the One Ring. The Fellowship of the Ring is formed and sets out on their journey to reach Mount Doom. The Fellowship travels to the Pass of Caradhas. The game play involves some puzzles across chasms and using characters that can shoot lego target objects and destroy cracked lego objects. Eventually Saruman prevents them traveling through the pass and they instead travel to the doorstep of Moria. They must battle a monster to free Frodo from capture. The episode ends at the doors of Moria.

Episode 2 of my Lego Lord of the Rings series. I play through The Black Rider level.

In this episode of Lego Lord of the Rings game play we enter Bree, meet Aragorn, then travel to Weathertop. The Ring Wraiths find the hobbits at Weathertop and chase the hobbits to the top. Frodo puts on the Ring and discovers there is more he can see while wearing the ring. With the help of Aragorn the Ring Wraiths are defeated but Frodo is mortally wounded. The elf Arwen comes to help Frodo reach the elves in time to heal his wound. For this episode I used OBS Studio to capture game play and Kdenlive for video editing.
