The water was so crystal clear this morning I was almost tempted to go for a swim...bahahahahaha too cold for me.

That sand bank is about 5 foot higher, give or take, than the water level in the river...

We never thought we'd be literally 'sitting' in the middle of the river...well I was, not the scaredy dogue hahaha

The 'walkway closed' signs have been removed so it seems the Barron River Esplanade is officially open again.

How long have those timber posts been in those holes? The majority of the time even the tallest one spends most of the time under the water... 60-70 years?

The rain has gotta stop eventually doesn't it?
