THE LIBERTY PODCAST - May 31, 2024
Ladies and gentlemen, the battle lines are drawn. We must wear the full armor of God, prepared to make any sacrifice to defeat the Leftists masquerading as Democrats. The verdict that matters awaits this November 5, 2024. Until then, we can be thankful for the support that surrounds Donald Trump, especially from his family.
During the recent North Carolina Republican Party convention in Greensboro, delegates were uplifted by a live appearance by Trump's youngest son, Eric Trump, and his talented spouse, Lara, co-chair of the Republican National Committee. Trump surrogate Vivek Ramaswamy, the embodiment of living the American Dream, also addressed the convention on May 25, 2024, urging Republicans to contemplate what sacrifices we can make to preserve our Constitutional Republic. We're delighted to share highlights in this week's podcast.
While in Greensboro the podcast also interviewed former North Carolina U.S. Rep. Mark Walker, who is working with the RNC as director of its faith and minority outreach programs.
Also covered in the latest podcast:
- Politico, a digital news outlet, reports that Biden's inner circle is in "freak out" mode as the Trump campaign surges despite "law-fare" tactics, a hostile media, and days languishing in a court room and away from the campaign trail. Biden's donors and advisors are gripped by fear and trepidation, Politico reports.
- Another far left-of-center news platform, Axios, peeled away the economic onion to reveal the true measure of inflation experienced by American consumers -- a cumulative spike of more than 19% since the Biden regime seized the White House in 2021. At the same time, Zero Hedge trumpeted the inevitable revision of government Gross Domestic Product (GDP) data from a tepid 1.6% in the first quarter of 2024 to an even more limp 1.3%. Every economic indicator during the Biden years tells a story of negligence, some of it deliberate.
- We found welcome good news in The Epoch Times, which reported a voter registration surge from 2019 to 2024 among Republicans in key battleground states -- Arizona, Nevada, North Carolina and Pennsylvania -- while Democrat registration numbers went south.
- Locally, The Pilot newspaper is cheering as two fringe groups advance federal complaints against the Moore County Board of Education, which authored and approved in 2022 a Parental Bill of Rights to stop educators from shielding parents from their children's exploration of gender transitioning during the school day. Despite the logic of involving parents in every aspect of the lives of their children, the Left's hijacking of Title IX have empowered educators to claim their obligation to advance transgender and LGBTQ rights, even to the exclusion of parents. Fortunately, parents have proven to be more resilient than ever. (In fact, the Department of Justice is tracking them as potential terrorist threats).

THE LIBERTY PODCAST - May 16, 2024
The Liberty Podcast distills the tyranny and insanity imposed by the unrelenting Left every day, 24/7. When the citizenry refuses to comply and, instead, rises up as an informed electorate, the Left’s foot soldiers loose their minds and accuse us of posing a “threat to Democracy”. It’s beautiful to behold.
Have you wondered why blatant anti-semitism riots on college campuses raged so violently and for so long? Author and cultural commentator Heather Mac Donald, in a recent analysis, examines the grim turn of events and concludes that “pro-Hamas hysteria is the foreseeable outcome of a belief system dominant not only in academia, but also in (Joe) Biden’s own administration — a belief system in which the West is damned as ‘systemically racist’.”
Mac Donald observes that campus snowflakes and their equally unhinged faculty enablers are not necessarily pro-Palestine or pro-Hamas terror. They do not bother with the facts on the ground in Israel. All they see is the “oppressed” living under the tyranny of the “oppressor”. She writes, “According to the university worldview, whites and the West (the two categories are interchangeable) are responsible for everything wrong with the world, from inequality to poverty. … Israel today is hated as the embodiment of Western civilization. Its modernity and economic success in a region where both are largely absent mark it out as hegemonic and illegitimate.”
Colleges and universities not only are graduating young people who are unemployable and indoctrinated, they are training combatants who threaten cultural stability. They are, potentially, the enemy within.
Also on the radar this week:
- A National Football League star has run afoul of the Left, and even the NFL itself, after delivering a commencement speech at a private Catholic college in which he espoused the virtues of the nuclear family, male masculinity and women who aspire to become “homemakers”. Harrison Butker, a placekicker and Super Bowl champion, gave the boot to persistent societal pressure on women to pursue careers and ignore old-fashioned alternatives such as marriage and child raising while speaking to graduates at Benedictine College in Kansas. Naturally, social and mainstream media rushed to smear Butker’s “outrageous” world view. The graduates seemed to be just fine with his guidance.
- Title IX, authored a half century ago to enshrine equality in sports for women, is being hijacked by the deranged LGBTQ armies of rage, which see an opportunity to further insert themselves into public education. In Moore County, the school board finds itself the target of a federal civil rights complaint stemming from its adoption in 2023 of a parents’ bill of rights. A similar declaration of the rightful role of parents in their children’s education was adopted by the North Carolina General Assembly. The LGBTQers view parents as a potential barrier to teachers and administrators who believe they should be able to help students contemplate gender “transitioning” absent parental approval.
- With a presidential election looming this fall (beginning with early voting as soon as September), and with the Biden regime imploding amid public backlash toward a struggling economy and porous border security, the Left has begun to spin a new fear-based narrative. Keep a close eye on the growing threat of bird flu. Not just in birds and animals. But in humans, too. Bird flu rarely has transmitted to humans but a Stanford medical expert, a former CDC director and Sen. Mitt Romney (a devout Never Trumper) in recent days have sounded alarms that we must begin to take seriously the looming threat of a bird flu … PANDEMIC! Right on cue.
- The state of Minnesota has a new flag. It features two shades of blue but that’s not what caught the attention of writer Jacqueline Toboroff. The Minnesota flag flies displaying an eight-point star, rather than the traditional five-point star that we see as an integral part of the American flag. Why an eight-point star? Apparently certain folks in Minnesota wish to embrace the eight-point star displayed on flags across the Islamic world. Utah has one in the works, too. Vigilance, my friends.
- The battle against “woke” never is permitted a day off. But it’s a battle for the future of our nation and American liberties. Just in time, a co-authored book is available to equip freedom warriors. It is entitled, “Counter Wokecraft: A Field Manual for Combatting the Woke in the University and Beyond”. The 111-page paperback is instructive. Find a copy. We recommend Amazon. It will be your best $22.49 investment ever.

THE LIBERTY PODCAST - May 9, 2024
The Liberty Podcast lineup this week covers the spectrum of human nature, from betrayal, to deception, to greed, to despair and to fear.
The Biden regime, in a pathetic display of desperate pandering, is blatantly turning its back on Israel even in the face of overwhelming public support for our loyal ally's mission to annihilate Iran-backed Hamas in Gaza.
Why? The Wall Street Journal hints at Biden's motive in a stern editorial smackdown. But the Journal falls short of condemning the regime's calculation that it can capture pockets of pro-Islam, pro-Hamas, pro-Destroy Israel voters in battleground states this November. The Left's lust to cling to power finds it undermining America's standing in the world when it comes to defending liberty.
When Biden is not pandering he is lying. During a CNN interview amid a campaign stop in Wisconsin, stumbling Joe proclaimed that his economic plan saved the nation from an inflation rate of 9% when he took over the White House in 2021. CNN's Erin Burnett likely was ill-informed, or perhaps merely carrying his water, in failing to note that inflation was at a historically low level (1.4%) at the conclusion of the Trump administration. A chart (nearby) shows the escalation of Biden-flation beginning in April 2021 toward a peak of 9% about one year later.
North Carolina Treasury Secretary Dale Folwell has lost patience with hospital cartels gaming a special designation to impose high costs on cancer patients and amass obscene profit. Folwell released a report on May 8, 2024, finding that 340B-designated N.C. hospitals billed state employees an average price markup of 5.4 times their discounted acquisition costs for oncology drugs (emphasis added). Hospitals generated average spread profits as high as $13,617 per claim on cancer drugs paid for by the North Carolina State Health Plan for Teachers and State Employees.
Treasurer Folwell is calling on state and federal lawmakers to reform the 340B Drug Pricing Program and to provide hospital price relief to state employees and taxpayers.
While students join hired campus rioters disrupting universities across the nation -- in the name of a "free Palestine" (aka, pro-Hamas murderers) -- and vandalizing property with little resistance from law enforcement, so-called January 6 "insurrectionists" continue to be hunted down by the federal government. A Florida man, 55, facing multiple charges handed down more than three years after J6, became so distraught in the face of grave injustice that he committed suicide by shooting himself, reports The Epoch Times. While campus thugs hurl bricks and burn American flags, the late David Homol's perilous "offense" was assaulting Capitol police with a PLASTIC flagpole.
An election season is upon. So it's time for health officials to begin spinning a new pandemic narrative. The Food & Drug Administration and the Centers for Disease Control want us to awaken to the potential for a bird flu pandemic that will make COVID-19 seem like a mere inconvenience (or, like what it was for most folks -- a severe head cold). Be very afraid, the agencies warn. Let's not fall for it, but let us remain vigilant.

THE LIBERTY PODCAST - May 2, 2024
This week's Liberty Podcast includes an exclusive conversation with a former United States diplomat who was seated in the front row when history was made in 1975 during the signing of The Helsinki Accords, which prompted a surge of liberation across eastern Europe and foreshadowed the demise of the Soviet Union. Leo Reddy joins us later.
Student terrorists have dominated mainstream news coverage in recent weeks, bringing to the surface deep rooted college campus anti-semitism. Just as Hamas terrorists did not wake up on October 7, 2023, realizing they suddenly despised Israeli Jews, indoctrinated, radicalized students and paid rioters did not suddenly become anti-semites, chanting in support of the annihilation of Jews as "colonizers" or "oppressors". These vile impulses have been ingrained in campus youth, writes Carolina Journal's Amy Rosenthal.
At UCLA, raging anti-Jewish mobs were enraged by -- wait for this -- banana wielding counter-protestors. As reported by The Federalist's M.D. Kittle, a pro-Hamas, pro-death-to-Israel snowflake afflicted by a banana food allergy was targeted by defiant students who showed up at their encampment well stocked with with bananas. The twisted logic here is that a fragile child with a banana allergy must be coddled even if she desires the worst possible outcomes for those she demeans as "oppressors".
House Bill 6090 is a curious, ill-timed piece of legislation forced into passage by House Republicans. It essentially creates additional definitions of hate speech that could further trample First Amendment protection. Commentator Ben Shapiro remarked, "The solution (to campus anti-semitism) is NOT to pass a bad bill adding yet more free speech violations to the giant free speech violation that is Title VI (the Civil Rights Act of 1964)."
A Democrat-dominated circuit court shot down objections by North Carolina and West Virginia officials to mandated state health insurance coverage of so-called transgender surgeries. The 8-6 vote cast aside the contentions of North Carolina treasurer Dale Folwell, among others, who says state health insurance should cover the largest number of employees as cost efficiently as possible. "Gender affirming" surgery is sought by a minuscule fraction of state employees eligible for medical insurance coverage. West Virginia's attorney general says he will appeal the ruling to the U.S. Supreme Court. Twenty-two other states jointly have expressed support for N.C. and West Virginia.
The era of COVID is emerging -- as many suspected -- as an era of rampant deception. The Epoch Times' investigation of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention finds damning proof that the CDC insisted publicly that there was no evidence that so-called COVID vaccines posed health threats despite internal research that proved the opposite. Employees at profit-hungry Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna were acutely aware that the jabs were inflicting myocarditis (heart inflammation) on unsuspecting Americans.
A British High Court, meanwhile, is hearing arguments related to a class action lawsuit brought against Astra Zeneca seeking damages in the aftermath of injuries and death caused by its experimental COVID jabs. In now public court documents, Astra Zeneca admits that its shots are linked to severe, sometimes deadly, blood clots. Fifty-one cases are represented by the class action suit, which seeks damages north of $100 million.
Finally, another mainstream Christian denomination appears to be heading toward irrelevance. The United Methodist Church during its recent general conference overwhelmingly ended its long-standing ban on LBGTQ clergy. The tide turned during the past five years as ideologically conservative Methodists fled the church. The cultural and religious erosion of our nation seems destined to continue until every institution has been compromised by the Left. Fortunately, the Left will fail at banning prayer.

The Liberty Podcast - April 11, 2024
Welcome back, friends.
More than six months after Iran-funded Hamas terrorists attacked Israel, six Americans are still held hostage (unless, as some fear, they have been murdered). They are among 130 or more hostages who are languishing in Hamas controlled territories. Five of the six American-born hostages are young adults; the sixth is a former Chapel Hill, NC, resident, 64, who has lived in Israel for more than four decades.
Adding to the tragic scenario, three young men were serving as volunteers within the Israeli military when Hamas launched its surprise attack on October 7, 2023. One, a New Jersey teen, 19, recently graduated from high school and deferred enrollment into a U.S. college in order to serve in his adopted homeland of Israel.
The U.S. response to the hostage crisis under the Biden regime offers little reason for optimism among their family members. Instead, "President" Joe Biden and Secretary of State Antony Blinken continue to badger Israel to declare a cease-fire, and to do so minus a hostage release provision imposed on Hamas.
Freshman U.S. Sen. Ted Budd (R-NC) proposes a novel approach that also is a long shot given Democrat control of the Senate. Budd and two fellow Republicans co-sponsored a bill that cuts off funding to Qatar (why do we send Qatar a dime?) unless and until it stops providing refuge to the sinister leaders of Hamas. It's not merely refuge; it's a luxury lifestyle, complete with high-rise penthouses and fast cars.
Closer to home, NC Senate Republicans are expected to take up a bill to require universal compliance by state sheriffs interacting with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Passage of the law -- already approved by the state House -- would require all 100 NC sheriffs to turn over illegals to ICE within 48 hours. Believe it or not, sheriffs in several large, Democrat counties refuse to deal with ICE personnel, claiming the removal of illegals is inhumane. You can't make it up when it comes to the delusion of the Left.
An intelligence community provision known as FISA Section 702 was intended to make it easier to spy on bad guys aboard. But rampant corruption within the Department of Justice and Federal Bureau of Investigation led to cases in which warrantless FISA activity was abused to target Donald Trump's 2016 campaign and his subsequent presidency. With an April 19, 2024, deadline looming to extend FISA protocols, several House conservatives are demanding a dramatic overhaul to protect innocent Americans from their political enemies. Among them: firebrand U.S. Rep. Dan Bishop (NC-08).
Despite the ranting of the Left and its media surrogates about inflation's incredible disappearing act (nothing to see here), inflation is making a comeback. During the first three months of the year, the Consumer Price Index has risen with persistence, by 0.3% (January), 0.4% (February) and 0.4% (March). The data arrives as no surprise to consumers, who have listened with astonishment as Biden and fellow Democrats have assured them that the economy is "roaring" and that pandemic-era inflation is no more.
A new book by an unlikely author, a Washington Post reporter, chronicles the ascent of the MAGA movement within the Republican Party. MAGA field commander Steve Bannon cautions conservatives inclined to dismiss "Finish What We Started" as a hit job intended to demean and diminish the Trump-led movement. Despite claims that MAGA's goal is to "end Democracy", Bannon advises that the book actually confirms that MAGA is legitimate force that terrifies radical Obama-inspired Democrats. It's readily available to order via Amazon.

The Liberty Podcast - April 19, 2024
In NC, DEI is DOA. RIP.
Welcome back, Liberty lovers. It was a good week for the win column.
Apparently, hope rings eternal, even within the educational industrial complex.
North Carolina joined a growing number of states seeking to restrict or ban diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives at public colleges.
As of March 27, nine have been signed into law by a governor: two in Florida, one in each of the Dakotas, one in Tennessee, one in Texas, one in Utah, one in Alabama, and most recently one in Idaho.
On April 17, 2024, a University of North Carolina System Board of Governors’ committee unanimously approved a policy that repeals the university system’s existing policy and regulation on diversity and inclusion, which require each of the state’s 17 public campuses to employ diversity officers and work toward achieving diversity-related goals, among other requirements.
Various organizations swiftly denounced the long overdue repeal, but, as of this hour, there have been no reports of any Marxist Democrat self immolating near or on a UNC System campus. Do they wear surgical masks amid setting themselves on fire? Below: An overview revealing that DEI is in the process of being eradicated across much of the United States.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. never will be elected President of the United States but we salute his quest to be a part of the 2024 conversation, if, for no other reason, than that it is casting the Kennedy family into a state of perpetual angst. All of these perplexed Kennedys are rushing to TV studios and video production houses -- at the behest of the Obama Democratic Party -- to denounce Bobby and urge Americans to vote for the vision and vitality that IS the Joe Biden presidency.
Their wrists will be wrung even more convulsively now that Bobby has made his way onto the November ballot in Michigan, where he polls at 12-13% against Biden and Donald Trump, who leads in three- and five-way scenarios in a state where Biden's best hope is to court the jihadist Muslim vote in districts near Detroit. It is no coincidence that his regime continues to urge Israel to exercise restraint against Hamas terrorists rather than pursuing elimination of the Iran-backed cell.
By way of wrapping up another inspired podcast, here are a few parting thoughts:
A new poll of sponsored by The Heritage Foundation and conducted by an independent research group should send a message to Republican Speaker Mike Johnson and his buddies in the Democrat party. The poll concludes that a vast majority of moderate Americans in key swing states oppose proposals that send more funding to Ukraine, especially before America’s own borders are secure.
Yet, Johnson and most House Republicans seem as if they will not be deterred in passing three foreign aid spending bills this weekend, one of which pours another $61 BILLION into the war coffers of Ukraine to support its futile war against Russia. The Biden warlords went before a House subcommittee recently not to press for more money for Ukraine because it is winning and will prevail but because its defenses are withering and LOSING. Meanwhile, a mere pittance, just north of $26 billion is sought to aid Israel in its efforts to respond to an emboldened Iran (thanks, Biden regime).
North Carolina Attorney General Josh Stein, who is running for Governor, is very proud of his efforts to clean up inefficiencies that caused DNA "rape kit" testing to be log jammed for about five years. He ran to the mics recently to breathlessly impart that the state is "caught up" and will never again allow rape victims to be marginalized while awaiting DNA test results to identify their vicious attackers. The system fell apart long before Stein came along. North Carolina became the No. 1 state in the downhill race to ignore rape victims under current Gov. Roy Cooper (D), who was the state's attorney general for 16 long years. Who keeps voting for this menace?
Michele Morrow needs to be on the radar of every North Carolina citizen who demands that public education be liberated from the tyranny of the indoctrination-minded Left. She is running for Superintendent of the Department of Public Instruction. She poses such a threat to the entrenched education complex that even CNN is following her race against longtime Marxist Mo Green. In November, remember, Morrow, not Mo.

The Liberty Podcast: April 5, 2024
Economic columnist denies inflation is real
Welcome back, Liberty "insurrectionists".
Great news coming out of New York City to kick off the weekend. A 4.8-magnitude earthquake hit the Big Apple on April 5. Is it a divine wake up call, a Holy shot over the bow to terrify scheming New York Attorney General / Trump extortionist Tish James? What should really terrify James is contemplating what life looks like from the inside of a prison cell.
Did you see this front page headline in The Wall Street Journal? Can't make it up. "What's Wrong With the Economy? It's You, Not the Data".
Writes haughty columnist Greg Ip, "In the Wall Street Journal's latest poll of swing states, 74% of respondents said inflation has moved in the wrong direction in the past year. ... Yes, some individuals faced higher inflation (someone who bought a house, for instance) but, for the average person, inflation went down. Yet the average person thinks it went up."
Yet, Mr. Ip, normal people know it's not their thoughts that make grocery shopping miserable. It's their vision. It's what they see. In fact, the same Journal on the same date cited U.S. Labor Department data to confirm what citizens' lived experiences are confirming: "Prices for hundreds of grocery items have increased more than 50% since 2019 as food companies raised their prices."
And over at CommitteeToUnleashProsperity.com we find a report that ,
the CRB Commodity Index, which reflects the price of more than 20 major commodities, indicates that prices have skyrocketed by 12% in just the past FOUR months.
Grim news arrived this week that a University of Kentucky student, just 20 years old, died after a brief fight against bone cancer. In the aftermath of years of COVID-19 jabs, healthy, young people continue to die rather suddenly. Week after week. Month after month. A well qualified critic of the experimental mRNA shots, Dr. Pierre Kory, analyzed more closely the trend in a Washington Times newspaper op-ed.
"Yale, Harvard and the American Cancer Society each weighed in recently on this unthinkable twist in the toll of cancer. A record two million people in the United States will suffer malignancies this year (2024), the Society said, and a larger share of the 600,000 to die, they agreed, will be younger than before" (emphasis added).
"Colorectal cancer moved as of 2021 to the leading cause (from fourth) of cancer death in men under 50, the report said, and second for women. Young adult oral and liver cancer deaths were increasing, along with deadly cervical tumors in women ages 30 through 44, reversing 'decades of decline'.”
Speaking of the dangerous jabs of 2021, the shadowy Centers for Disease Control (CDC) finally released terrifying data it has been sitting on since the outset of mass scale COVID-19 vaxxing.
The CDC now acknowledges that "780,000 reports were received shortly after the COVID-19 vaccines were rolled out, and show people experienced a wide range of post-vaccination problems, including heart inflammation, miscarriages, and seizures."
Teachers are quitting in public schools nationwide. Shortages are reported everywhere, including in North Carolina. What is going on? Democrats always blame teacher compensation levels as being too low. But a teacher survey by The Fordham Institute disputes that money is the root cause.
One theme surfaced over and again, illustrated by these two examples:
“Our school isn’t safe. The energy in the hallways feels like something is going to happen at any moment. Fights are constant with little consequence.”
“We allow behavior that would not be acceptable in any public square. Teachers are cussed out, threatened, disrespected with no consequences.”
"Lenient grading was the second most common complaint. Teachers cannot assign failing grades, administer penalties for late work, or grade students’ homework. What could the teacher have done to prevent this failure? The student bears no culpability."
Finally, the FBI continues to violate the basic rights of American citizens by relentlessly placing them under arrest owed to their presence inside the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021.
These were not insurrectionists, friends. These were and are patriots who understood the dire consequences of election fraud in November 2020. The FBI, empowered by the Biden regime, says it has 500 more arrests planned in the coming year.
