I’m lucky to be alive’: Halsey reveals illness and announces new album
“I feel like an old lady,” Halsey says aloud in the first video, while rubbing her legs in apparent pain. “I told myself I’m giving myself two more years to be sick. At 30, I’m having a rebirth and I’m not gonna be sick and I’m gonna look super hot and have lots of energy and I’m just gonna get to re-do my 20s in my 30s.”
The singer also released a new song on Tuesday, an acoustic guitar ballad titled “The End.”
The new album on the horizon is a follow-up to her fourth studio album, 2021′s ambitious “If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power,” produced by Nine Inch Nails’ Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross.

F-16 pilot who was prepared to take on suicide mission to save lives on 9/11 retires
Twenty-three years ago, F-16 fighter pilot Marc Sasseville was sent on a mission that he thought could be his last.
Two hijacked planes had flown into the World Trade Center's twin towers in New York City, and a third had struck the Pentagon. Sasseville received orders on Sept. 11, 2001 to prevent another hijacked airliner headed for Washington from reaching its target. That plane was United Airlines Flight 93, which had been hijacked by four al-Qaida terrorists and ultimately crashed in Shanksville, Pennsylvania.

Putin replaces Russia’s defense minister with a civilian as Ukraine war rages
Russian President Vladimir Putin has replaced his defense minister and close ally Sergei Shoigu with a civilian economist, a major reshuffle of military leadership more than two-years after Moscow’s grinding war against Ukraine has sent defense spending soaring.
Andrey Belousov, a civilian who served as former first deputy prime minister and specializes in economics, was appointed to the top defense post, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said on Sunday.
Shoigu was “relieved” of his position by presidential decree, Peskov said, but he will remain an influential part of Putin’s administration as Secretary of Russia’s Security Council, replacing former FSB head Nikolai Patrushev, who would “transfer to another job.

Israel advances into Rafah in Gaza’s south while battling regrouped Hamas in the north
Israeli forces pushed deeper into Gaza’s southern city of Rafah on Sunday and battled Hamas in parts of the devastated north that the military said it had cleared months ago but where militants have regrouped.
Rafah is considered the last refuge in Gaza for more than a million civilians as well as Hamas’ last stronghold. Some 300,000 people have fled the city following evacuation orders from Israel, which says it must invade to dismantle Hamas and return scores of hostages taken in the Oct. 7 attack against Israel that sparked the war.

What conspiracy theories are UK MPs being told to look out for?
MPs and election candidates are being provided with a guide on recognising conspiracy theories – ranging from false claims about 5G technology to others about vaccines and global organisations such as the International Monetary Fund.
The guide was commissioned by Penny Mordaunt, the leader of the House of Commons, who launched it on Tuesday with the shadow leader, Lucy Powell, amid concern about the impact of conspiracies theories, in many cases with antisemitic overtones.

Fani Willis Under Fire .................
Former federal prosecutor Neama Rahmani said Newsweek that Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis "botched" the election interference case against former President Donald Trump, which was scheduled to go to trial before this year's presidential election.
Since indicting Trump and 18 co-conspirators in a massive racketeering case in August, the Democratic district attorney has been severely criticized by Republicans. Things escalated earlier this year when one of the co-defendants claimed in a court document that Willis was in a romantic connection with Nathan Wade, one of her special prosecutors.

Seth Meyers Shreds Trump’s Desperate Campus Protest Conspiracy Theory
There’s a lot going on right now,” Seth Meyers declared at the top of Thursday’s “A Closer Look”—so much so that he repeated that claim again about four minutes into the segment.
While Donald Trump’s criminal hush-money trial continues, so too do the pro-Palestinian protests popping up at college campuses across the country—and Meyers seems a little shocked that it’s not the former story that has people most enthralled. But Trump and those college protests collided this week when the former president decided to call into his pal Sean Hannity at Fox News to offer his opinion on the matter on Tuesday and claim that the protests are being organized and run by some nefarious outside operation.
“Well I really think you have a lot of paid agitators,” Trump told Hannity. “Professional agitators in here, too.”
Trump’s proof that the protests being held on college campuses nationwide aren’t being organized or orchestrated by a school’s students? The carefully printed signs, of course.
“When you see signs and they’re all identical, that means they’re being paid by a source,” said the former president—who you think might have other things to worry about.
“These are hand-painted signs where people would go to their basement and paint something because they really believe it,” Trump concluded. “These are all signs that are identical .They’re made by the same printer.”
