Dying Light 2 is the 2022 Sequel to the original 2015 Dying Light by Polish game studio Techland. It is an open world parkour zombie surival game, similar to the first. Techland has a long history of Zombie titles, stretching back to Dead Island in 2012. and Dead Island: Riptide in 2013. Dying light 2 emphasizes timed forays out at night in order to keep the player's infection from turning them. You must utilize climbing and jumping to move around the rooftops of the city to avoid the more dangerous street level. Combat is somewhat simple, but engaging, melee hack and slash, with some archery mixed in. Notably absent in this entry are firearms, which were present in the first game. Annihilation Line is the latest stand alone expansion for Terminator Resistance. It follows the of Jacob, the main character of the series, on an extended side mission with Kyle Reese to the norther parts of Los Angeles to check on an outpost that has mysteriously gone dark. Terminator: Resistance was made in 2019. Developed by a polish studio Teyon. Set in the Terminator Universe, it takes place during the War of the Machines. It references T1 and T2 exclusively, thankfully ignoring all of the other horrendous trash that came after the first two films.. Metro Exodus is a 2019 shooter game with some suvival elements, and a strong emphasis on stealth based on the "Metro" book series by Dmitry Glukhovsky. It is the third in the series preceded by Metro: 2033 and Metro Last light (Both are excellent, if a bit dated). Where the previous two were set in the cramped remnants of the Moscow metro system years after nuclear holocaust devastates the USSR, the third is set in a series of larger more open world maps. The Game is still narrative driven, and offers a pretty good story, even though some areas deviate wildly from the books. I hope you like the play through. This game mode lets you pay as a Terminator roving the ruins looking for intelligence data and killing human resistance. It is a short campaign that offers no saving and no respawns. While not cutting edge in graphics or gameplay innovations, the game does an excellent job with atmospherics and using what works. The audio and music in the game are stellar.
