The Origin Story of Jesus

King Solomon was a mixed bag with his embrace of God and the Luciferian agenda. His reign marked the peak of Israel’s golden age, but Solomon’s sins were so great that God split the kingdom after his death and the glory that once was Israel was forever lost as the northern and southern kingdoms were eventually conquered by the Assyrians and the Babylonians. A remnant returned from Babylon to rebuild the temple and Jerusalem. God was silent for over four centuries as the Greeks rose to prominence, followed by the Romans, during which there was infighting among the remnant. Then the time finally arrived for the Redeemer promised so long ago to Adam. The origin of mankind’s Savior planned in eternity past was finally fulfilled when the Son of God was incarnated to a virgin. Humanity’s redemption would conclude with a stunning ending when the God-man was crucified some 33.5 years later. It was the end of the beginning when the Son of God was resurrected three days later, forever defeating Lucifer and sealing his fate in the Lake of Fire. The invasion of Canaan began when Jesus instructed Joshua to eradicate the inhabitants of the Promised Land with extreme prejudice; however, the descendants of Abraham were enticed by the remaining Canaanites to embrace pagan gods, orgies, and child sacrifice. This led to the time of the judges and the moral failures of God’s people repeatedly brought divine judgments from which they sought deliverance. This in turn led to the time of the kings and Israel blossomed as a nation. King Solomon started out great but the supernatural wisdom bestowed upon him was manipulated by Lucifer and Israel’s third king laid the foundation for the future antichrist and the deadly Kabbalah became a curse from which the people never recovered. The redemption story begins with a virtual time run that showed the Godhead how sentient beings would act. This is why the Bible says that Jesus was slain from the foundation of the world and explains why the Son of God was incarnated. It also clarifies how the Godhead knows the future, allowing them to make external adjustments as needed. In this way, the Godhead was omniscient because they had already seen everything. The Holy Spirit was only available as a temporary anointing in the Old Testament and that meant that all guidance was carried out by Jesus, holy angels, and even through the use of punishment. The Godhead chose the bloodline of Terah for the future Redeemer but each generation struggled against the Luciferian onslaught. The Son of God is incarnated and born to a virgin. This pivotal moment in human history has been 4,000 years in the making and Herod the Great vainly tries to kill Jesus. The Godhead would not allow the Jewish people to claim ignorance about the Messiah’s arrival. As a result, angels declared Jesus’ birth in the sky over Bethlehem, a special star appeared for the wise men, the Holy Spirit told Simeon he would not die until he has seen the Christ, Jesus astonished the religious leaders in the temple as a boy, and John the Baptist heralded the Messiah’s arrival. The problem is that the incarnated God-man did not fit the preconceived notions of the people. When Queen Salome Alexandra died in 67 B.C., her two sons treated Judah like their personal domain and instigated a civil war. The feud ended when the soldiers of Hyrcanus II defected to his brother and he was forced to surrender to Aristobulus II. Antipater was an Idumean who had worked himself into the politics of Jerusalem and he convinced Hyrcanus that Aristobolus was planning to kill him. Antipater had a deal with the Nabataeans and used them to try and oust Aristobulus. Eventually both brothers appealed to the Romans, but Pompey betrayed them both and seized control of Jerusalem, effectively ending Jewish independence. A Roman civil war complicated matters, and when the dust cleared, Julius Caesar was emperor, Pompey, Hyrcanus II, and Aristobulus II were dead. Herod was the new vassal king of Judea and this was the man who would beautify the temple and try to kill Jesus as a boy. Johanan Hyrcanus led Judah for 39 years. He was a good military commander, a savvy diplomat, and a decent politician. He took advantage of the Seleucid civil wars and captured a number of cities to restore the lands that existed during the golden age under King Solomon. Hyrcanus oversaw the enslavement the Samaritans and the spiritual rape of the Idumeans with their forced spiritual conversion. The Pharisees, Sadducees, and the Essenes were political parties that developed during this time. Judah Aristobolus I succeeded his father and also took the title of king. He starved two brothers to death and murdered another to safeguard his position but succumbed to sickness within a year. Alexander Jannaeus ascended to the throne and became an evil king. He befriended the Sadducees to shore up his power and then crucified 800 Pharisees for entertainment. There was only war and hate during this time period as each man served himself. Greek philosophers influenced the world in their quest to explain life, eternity, and the spirit world. The teachings of Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, and Epicurus would permeate Judean culture. The Hellenization that occurred after Alexander’s death among the Syrians, Samaritans, Ammonites, and Moabites molded them into Greek clones. The Jewish priestly leadership resisted the Greek culture, but a new generation ignored history and what happened when their ancestors pursued other gods, and pressure mounted for the priests to Hellenize. Kings in the past preferred to have taxes collected by local people. Joseph Tobiah was a descendant of the infamous Tobiah from the days of Nehemiah. He obtained the right to be a tax collector, agreeing to pay a certain amount to the king, but there was no restriction as to how much he could amass and his family became very wealthy stealing from the common people. Alexander's success was not so much about his leadership and military skill as it was the spirit world driving him forward. He began his ascension with murder, then embarked on a campaign to destroy Persia, and became drunk with the power he exerted over men and beasts. Thirteen years later he died of illness and all the fighting he endured to build an empire unraveled. Greek rivals used their respective armies to battle for control of Judah and Jerusalem, wreaking havoc until they were defeated by the armies of Rome. The ferocious infighting that took place among Alexander's successors was a reflection of the internal strife that exists among the fallen angels of the spirit world. After the Babylonians conquered Egypt under King Nebuchadnezzar, Jewish mercenaries were hired to protect Egypt’s southern border. During the years under the Persian government, Judah was more of a theocracy. The high priest ruled but he did not have unlimited power like the previous kings. A special council was convened to rubber stamp the wishes of the wealthy. From this sprung up the scribes, an educated class created to manipulate the people. Then the Greeks arrived and the high priest ordered the gates of Jerusalem opened and Alexander was welcomed into the city like a conquering hero. He was shown a scroll of the Book of Daniel and clearly thought of himself as the goat who tramples the Persian empire. The Jews were granted the same rights they enjoyed under the Persians and God honored the word to the prophet Malachi or the Jews would have ceased to exist as a national entity. As the last of the Old Testament prophets, Malachi spoke about the future Messiah, addressed the spiritual law of tithing, described what it meant to vainly serve God, wrote a book of remembrance, and received a revelation of the end times. God spoke to the Jews about their involvement with the Kabbalah and their embrace of its pernicious teachings because they mistakenly thought it ushered in blessings, but failed to discern its doctrine leads to destruction and death. When Malachi was active in Judah, the return of the Jews from Babylon had already taken place. Zerubbabel had started to rebuild the temple. Ezra had also come from Babylon to reestablish the priesthood and root out the pagan mixed marriages. Malachi was the last of the recorded Old Testament prophets. He was called by God to provide a final warning and give instruction to the Jewish people which would be in effect until the second return of Jesus. The temple had been rebuilt and the walls of Jerusalem partially repaired when Malachi appeared on the scene. The priests had struggled with corruption since the time of Zerubbabel and Ezra and the sacrificial laws given to Moses were being ignored as they routinely sacrificed the blind, lame, and sick animals to the Lord. The people wanted to keep their healthy animals and give the trash to God. Corruption was normal in business transactions and lying and cheating became a way of life. In the male dominated society, the men were divorcing the wives of their youth, causing these women to weep for the injustice they experienced. Despite the cleansing by Ezra, men continued the practice of marrying pagan women. Jesus was angry with these evil practices and the Son of God was weary with their twisted Kabbalistic way of thinking. Although Malachi was speaking to the people of his time, many of his prophetic words are still valid today. After Nehemiah left Jerusalem for the second time, there was a forty-year period of relative peace and prosperity in Judah during which the Persian empire was shaken with internal uprisings that saw one king after another deposed. History is often altered to fit the narrative of kings and Pastor John shares his journey in uncovering what took place after the Jews returned from Babylon. It is the story of Jesus and the Holy Spirit guiding, leading and preserving a remnant so that there would be descendants of Abraham when the Son of God was incarnated in Bethlehem. When Sanballat, Tobiah and Geshem learned that the walls of Jerusalem had been rebuilt, they tried to lure Nehemiah into a trap and kill him. When that failed, they tried intimidation and false accusations. Politics is truly an ugly business and Nehemiah went to God in prayer. The political leaders of Jerusalem were compromised despite the best efforts of Ezra. They were only interested in money and power and could not have cared less about God. Nehemiah appointed his brother as governor and returned to Susa. After a while he visited Jerusalem and found the Jews had corrupted themselves again. He reestablished order and ominously asked the Lord to remember the men who were living in rebellion. Having set things in order, he left for the final time. Nehemiah’s earthly purpose was to establish the Jews and Jerusalem in purity but history would reveal that the descendants of Abraham are stiff-necked and they would undermine Nehemiah’s best efforts as well. Nehemiah was a Jew who was also the trusted cupbearer of Persian King Artaxerxes II. A remnant had returned to Jerusalem more than a hundred years earlier but the city walls were still not finished and the situation was bleak. Artaxerxes offered to help by sending Nehemiah with soldiers and letters of credit to supervise the rebuilding. He inspected the broken walls and divided the project into 29 parts with a work crew being assigned to each section. Three regional Persian governors did not want to see Jerusalem restored and threatened the use of military force. Nehemiah’s primary weapon was prayer, but he also armed his workers against their adversaries. In this way they were able to rebuild the wall around Jerusalem. Nehemiah had a strong zeal for the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. He was faithful in leadership, knowing that the same God which had called him to service would also see him through to the end. The joy of being in Jerusalem and partaking in a thanksgiving service to the Lord did not last long when the political leaders of Judah told Ezra that many of the men had compromised by taking pagan wives. Ezra’s world collapsed when he heard the bad news. He had worked diligently to prepare himself as a priest and now the remnant in Jerusalem was already spiritually contaminated. Being unequally yoked had proven to be a deadly spiritual disease in the past. Would God expel them a second time? The Holy Spirit moved upon Shechaniah, who proposed to seek God, make a new covenant with the Lord, and remove all the pagan wives and children from Judah. Ezra set up a tribunal and each man had to declare if he had taken a pagan wife or lose all his possessions and become an outcast. God was ultimately pleased that Judeans repented and cleansed themselves from the spiritual disease which had snared previous generations. Ezra’s parents must have been godly people because their son loved the Lord. He was raised in captivity and wanted to become a priest so he could travel to Jerusalem to re-establish the rabbinical system and restore the Torah teaching to the people. King Artaxerxes I commissioned Ezra to aid in the rebuilding of the temple and set up the justice system in Judea. To that end, the king sent a dispatch with him that served as a letter of authority and a letter of credit. This took place before Artaxerxes issued a moratorium on rebuilding the temple. Ezra stopped the small caravan to fast and ask God for protection because their group carried a lot of gold and silver for the temple. They didn’t take any of the king’s soldiers for protection, trusting that God would see them through unmolested and that is exactly what happened. Ezra was a godly man and the remnant that returned was blessed to have him as their leader. God did not abandon the Jews when they were exiled to Babylon. They were sentenced to spend 70 years in captivity, but Jesus did not want them to be swallowed up by the Babylonian culture. King Jehoiachin was an evil man, but he must have repented in captivity and raised his sons with the knowledge of God because King Cyrus appointed Shenazar to be Judah’s first governor after the return from exile. Jehoiachin’s grandson, Zerubbabel, also became a leader and was put in charge of rebuilding the temple. A remnant was carried away in exile to Babylon where they prospered for 70 years but only a remnant returned to rebuild Jerusalem and the temple. The majority of the Jews in Babylon grew comfortable during their exile and did not want to begin anew. They were sidelined by God and never became part of the project to prepare Jerusalem for the arrival of the Son of God. The seventy-year timeout imposed on the Jews came to an end and they were free to return to the Promised Land because the Godhead needed the temple rebuilt in Jerusalem for the Messiah’s redemption of humanity. Ironically, the homecoming from Babylon was instigated by a pagan king and opened the way for a remnant to return to Judah. Even with the royal blessing, dirty politics from the local population slandered the Jews to the point that King Artaxerxes I halted the construction of the temple. As a result, Jesus activated Haggai and Zechariah, their words fired up Zerubbabel and his people to the point that they were willing to defy the king’s cease-and-desist order, even if it meant their deaths. What’s the takeaway? When the Godhead commences a project, work on it and expect miracles because with God all things are possible. The prophet Isaiah said there will be no wars during the millennial reign of Jesus and men will not be trained in warfare. That means that all defense industries will become obsolete and there won't be any engineers or skilled workers who know how to manufacture modern weapons. When Lucifer is freed from the bottomless pit at the end of the thousand years, there won't be time for research and development. The only option will be to develop a military force with simple weapons like bows and arrows, swords, shields and helmets. Earth's last war will be fought using weaponry that dates back to the time of Nimrod, mixed with cargo planes, transport ships and helicopters. Ezekiel stated that Satan's massive army will converge upon Jerusalem from every direction, only to be smashed by the armed forces of heaven. In the future, the land of Israel has been refurbished from the destruction of wars. The natural beauty of the countryside has been restored and the inhabitants are secure because there are no threats from anyone. Then at the end of the millennial kingdom, Gog will marshal forces to converge upon Israel like a storm from the north, east, south and west to attack Jesus and His government in Jerusalem. Ezekiel’s description of the Promised Land does not match the situation in Israel today as the land is replete with checkpoints and walls and homes are fortified. There no way to reconcile Ezekiel’s narrative of the Promised Land with the present condition and that means these events must take place in the future. As we correlate the Book of Ezekiel with the Book of Revelation, it becomes clear that Ezekiel’s prophecy from 2,590 years ago has yet to be fulfilled and won’t occur until the end of the millennial kingdom. The thirty-seventh chapter of Ezekiel has been used by Christian Zionists to state that the formation of the political State of Israel in 1948 was a fulfillment of prophecy. The origin story of Jesus starts with the calling of Abraham and the pledge that his offspring would inherit the Promised Land and become a platform for the future Messiah. The land was theirs as long as they didn’t engage in idolatry. However, there was little in the way of holiness and they were forcibly evicted. The renegade Kabbalistic movement fomented a number of wars to retake the land that God had “promised them,” conveniently ignoring the fact that Jesus had kicked them out because they were rebelliously pursuing their serpent messiah. Even in the present day, not much has changed. Yet God told Ezekiel that all was not lost. Someday in the future, there would be a resurrection of Hebrews who had walked with God and exercised faith in the coming Messiah. The Jews alive at the time of the prophecy would not see it fulfilled, but they were given a hope of a future resurrection and a return to the Promised Land.
