Swim Jigs: A Versatile Bait For Largemouth Bass
In this episode, I catch largemouth bass on the cattail edges but soon find out there are a lot of bass that are away from the bank and a mixed retrieve puts a lot of extra fish in the boat. You can work a swim jig in so many ways. I always start with a straight retrieve, but will mix it up and often times let it hit the bottom and work it like a traditional jig.
Green pumpkin variations are my favorite color schemes. A 5" plastic grub in a similar color is my preferred trailer.

Junk Fishing - Using Jigs and a Follow Up Bait Like A Senko Will Help You Catch More Fish
We have two different types of jigs tied on. On a third setup, we have a senko that we will use to followup any missed bites. Some days the fish just don't take the bait very good, so having a slower type presentation can really help put extra fish in the boat. We are using an All Terrain A.T. Jig and Swim Jig. One is a horizontal presentation while the other excels at bottom contact. The senko is wacky hooked on a light head weight wacky hook. We are throwing our baits to all types of cover as we fish down the bank. Cattails, weeds, sand patches, stumps, laydowns, bluegill beds. We are taking what the lake will offer us.

Bassmaster Elite Series Pro Bob Downey and Bass Brawl Outdoors Casey Ehlert Fishing Jigs For Bass
Bob Downey jumped in my boat for day of chasing bass with jigs. The fish are just starting to group up out deep, so we tied on some All Terrain jigs in different sizes and headed out to some deeper structure. On this lake, 12-14' is considered deep since most of the cover is in very shallow water. We use our Humminbird electronics, including the Apex and Solix graphs, along with the Target Lock with Mega Live and the Mega 360. The Minn Kota Ultrex with Spot Lock plays a huge role in every trip, especially on this one.

How To Rename Your Humminbird Apex and Solix Fish Finders
Quick and easy way to organize your network. If you share transducers like your side imaging and down imaging with multiple graphs on your boat, having all of your units named makes it easy to make sure you are choosing the transducer you want. Troubleshooting your network is also easier if you have them all named and organized.
Master the Dropshot Technique for Big Largemouth Bass!
Efficiency on the water is crucial if you want to maximize your fish catches during your trip. Fishing away from the bank without electronics can be frustrating and cause you to spend a lot of time casting to unproductive water. In this episode, I'm able to pull right up to the key cover and structure on this lake and catch a bunch on quality bass. A dropshot with a Megbass Hazedong shad was very productive! My Humminbird Mega 360 and Mega Live are tools that I won't fish without. I spent many years fishing without electronics, and after using them since 2005 they will always have a place in my boat.

Kayak Bass Fishing - Sometimes Forcing A Bait Doesn't Work!
I arrived at the lake and felt I knew what the fish would do based on a previous trip. I was going to throw a big jig and trailer, and catch a bunch of fish. After the first spot, I quickly realized I'd have to change things up in each area to catch the most fish.
