SOURDOUGH STARTER for BUSY MOMS | No weighing | Make Bagels and Dense sandwich bread this way
Sourdough Starter without weighing the flour and water to make bagels, tortillas, pancakes and more! This sourdough starter is great for dense sandwich bread and for the busy moms who don't have the time for the large artisan loafs or for all the weighing and measuring. I make bagels and bread weekly this way!

Laying CARDBOARD and PULLING WEEDS to get the GARDEN ready | Adding some CATTLE PANEL trellises
We are getting out in the garden to prepare it for planting and the growing season. So much work to do and so much accomplished! We are making some permanent changes this year and adding some cattle panel trellises to save space and to grow more! Growing up with your plants helps with the diseases your plants can get and helps them get sun to continue to grow.
Plants you can grow on your trellis are Peas, Pole Beans, Cucumbers, Squashes (zucchini, yellow squash), and even pumpkins!
Trellises - we did the posts 7 feet apart which makes them about 6 ft tall.
Fencing is 7 1/2 feet tall to protect from deer

Meal prep from some LEFTOVERS from last week and this weekend
We are meal prepping from some leftovers from last week and this weekends camping. We are also prepping for making a large batch of spaghetti to can!
Pork shoulder sliders (if you don't have leftover pork from last week you could do some cheeseburger sliders)
Sloppy joes (Homemade sauce or using a can) - I would double the sauce even with one pound of meat - quadruple it for two pounds of meat and keep with one onion and pepper
Steak fajitas
Pan roasted chicken and carrots

Light Meal Prep this week and Making Freezer Chicken Broth from chicken bones from last week's meal
I'm making freezer chicken broth from last week's chicken bones and prepping for dinner this week. Menu includes chicken and dumplings, fish tacos, sheet pan pork tenderloin, beef tenderloin, and pork shoulder. It's an easier week with less time to meal prep this week. #homesteading #mealprep #realistic #businessowner #urbanfarming #countrylife #chickenrecipes #freezer #gardeningtips

Concord Grape Jam - using frozen grapes (or you can use fresh too!)
I'm trying to clean out my freezer and get it ready for this year's harvest. I have some concord grapes I haven't used so I am going to make some jam with it! This is great to keep your grapes until ready to use if you don't have time when you harvest them. It is great for the dead months of winter to give you something to do. #canning #homesteading #gardeningtips #realistic #workingmom #businessowner #countrylife #livingofftheland

Transferring seedlings to a LARGER pot
We are on another week of planting new seedlings and transplanting our seedlings from last week to larger containers. Planting to larger containers gives them more room to develop roots and you can plant the stems further into the soil to help increase the stem strength.
