Jacobson On Kamala Harris: Identity Politics Is An Insult To Women
Campus Reform reporter Ophelie Jacobson joined Fox & Friends Saturday after talking to students in Washington, D.C. who praised Kamala Harris for being the first female Vice President. But when asked to provide examples of her accomplishments, students were speechless.

5 Big Questions For Woody White
Mr. Woody White, a trustee at UNC-Wilmington, says a Campus Reform report spurred him to action after a professor at the school posted a threat on Facebook.
White, an attorney and small business owner, asked the school's chancellor to investigate the professor, who had posted "blow up Republicans" on social media. (The professor has since apologized.)

North Carolina has recently become a hotbed for university trustees using their authority to create change. The state's flagship campus, UNC-Chapel Hill, made headlines by deciding not to grant tenure to Nikole Hannah-Jones, author of the 1619 Project. The school's trustees met to later reverse their decision, but Hannah-Jones declined to teach there anyway, taking a position at Howard University instead.
White says the uproar over Hannah-Jones being denied tenure shows "the power of bullies in the woke movement."

Students Are SO PROUD Of Kamala Harris For... Well... They Don't Know
A recent poll came out that shows that 48% of Americans disapprove of the job Vice President Kamala Harris is doing in office. Campus Reform reporter Ophelie Jacobson talked with students in Georgetown to see if they approved of the job she was doing.
Most of the students told Jacobson that they approved of Harris and that they were excited about having a female vice president in office.
“It’s amazing to have a woman vice president and we’re making great headway with that,” one student said. “She’s a definite girl boss.”
“I really do agree with the policies she’s been putting out and I think she’s a great vice president,” another student said.
But when asked which policies that student agrees with, the student couldn’t name one.
“Maybe I don’t know what her policies are...maybe you can just cut that part out,” the student said.
Other students were unable to name any of Harris’ accomplishments that they were proud of and they admitted that she needed to take better control of the border.
What were students’ reactions to the polling numbers that show nearly half of Americans’ disapproval of Harris? Watch the full video above to find out.

Students LOVE Biden’s Eviction Moratorium… As Long As It Doesn’t Apply To Them
Last week, President Joe Biden, extended the eviction moratorium after the Supreme Court ruled it unconstitutional.
This decision will continue to bar landlords from evicting tenants from their own private property. The moratorium follows guidance from the CDC, which insists that evictions are a public health concern amid Coronavirus.
Campus Reform’s video reporter Addison Smith went to Washington D.C. to get students' reactions to the decision, and to see how they would feel if they were in the property owners’ position.
Most students voiced strong support for Biden’s decision, even after his administration admitted it was illegal.
Students were not primarily concerned over private property rights violations, with one insisting that the eviction ban is a “ basic moral thing."
But when Smith asked how they would feel if the government told them they had to pay for someone else’s rent, some students changed their tune.

5 Big Questions for Rep. Kat Cammack
Rep. Kat Cammack (FL-03) spoke with Campus Reform about the future of America's workforce, Florida's new campus free speech law, and the opportunities available to today's students.
Cammack praised the expanded opportunities that are available for students to specialize within fields of study while noting that some degrees are far more relevant to the workforce than others. "I think there should be an understanding or at least just recognition of hey, if I'm getting a degree in underwater basket weaving, that probably isn't an in-demand type field," she said. "But if you are an engineer, if you are in information operations or technology, if you are in, heck, even some of the business and construction industries, anything in science, those are industries that are in demand."

Legal Names on Diplomas TRIGGER Trans Students | Ep. 33
On this week’s episode of the Campus Countdown, Campus Reform reporter Ophelie Jacobson discusses why some trans students are feeling threatened by legal names appearing on their diplomas.
Students at the University of Washington recently created a petition demanding the school allow transgender students to use their “chosen” names on diplomas.
Jacobson noted that “a diploma is supposed to be a sign of great accomplishment and maturity after having completed years of school” but that “this petition shows just the opposite...that these woke college students continue to complain about every little thing.”
Jacobson also went on to question “if using a preferred name really meant a lot to these students, don’t you think they would’ve taken the time to change their names legally in the first place?”
In the rest of the episode, Campus Reform correspondent Addison Pummill joins the Campus Countdown as a guest reporter. Pummill analyzes a recent study that claims that calling fish “trash” is racist. Jacobson also talks about a new University of Florida course that will ask students this fall to analyze James Baldwin's work through the lens of Critical Race Theory, as well as the writer's influence on Black Lives Matter.

5 Big Questions: Professors Launch First Amendment Lawsuit
Two Bakersfield College history professors, Erin Miller and Matthew Garrett, have filed suit against the college's former Chancellor and general counsel over alleged unfair treatment and retaliation that took place after they questioned how their colleagues were spending public funds.
In September 2019, Garrett gave a lecture to fellow faculty members that included asking how public funds were being used. He says these questions followed "several instances of campus censorship," including school administrators trying to crack down political stickers posted around campus.

Students refuse to cheer on Team USA
With the Olympic opening ceremonies right around the corner, Campus Reform reporter Ophelie Jacobson went to the University of South Florida to ask students who they plan on rooting for during the Olympic Games.
Students told Jacobson that they weren’t planning on rooting for Team USA, but rather, for individual athletes.
“I'm not going to be rooting for any team just because it's some country that I live in...because the truth is, patriotism shouldn't be that strong,” one student said.
Another student said “if you would’ve asked me in the last administration, maybe not.”

Cuban Immigrants Warn Students About Marxist Indoctrination
Campus Reform video reporter Addison Smith spoke with several Cuban protestors outside of the White House earlier this week. They were urging President Biden to intervene in the Cuba Crisis, but also had a warning for college students about Marxist indoctrination on campus.
"When Fidel Castro the Dictator came into power... He took the guns from everybody, and then he killed the smart, intelligent intellectuals... And then, they indoctrinate everybody: They send them to schools — to special schools — to indoctrinate you."
Another protester warned similar indoctrination is taking place on America's college campuses.
"I went through the college system here in the United States, and it's just obvious that that's what's happening."

Cubans Give College Students A Lesson On Communism
As the Cuban people stand up against the Communist government, Campus Reform’s Addison Smith went to Washington, D.C. to see if students understood why Cubans are protesting.
Several students were unsure of the reason for the protests, while others cited “mistreatment” from their government.
When Smith asked if the mistreatment had anything to do with Cuba’s Communist regime, some students agreed, while others insisted that true Communism has not been implemented.
Smith then talked to Cuban protestors, who warned students of Communist ideology.

The Antidote To Critical Race Theory | Dr. James Lindsay
Over the course of several years, Critical Race Theory has taken academia by storm. While the left has long downplayed CRT as a benign concept that examines legal and social issues as it relates to race, dozens of reports by Campus Reform demonstrates that there is much more to the theory than meets the eye.
With the rise of CRT on campuses, Campus Reform continues to expose colleges hosting segregated graduations, housing, safe spaces and classes.
Campus Reform’s Addison Smith interviewed Dr. James Lindsay, a cultural critic and outspoken voice against CRT, to find out what is driving the hyper-racialized shift that is taking place in the halls of academia, and whether there is a solution.
