Students Confused To See "CONTROVERSIAL" American Flag Flown By Cuban Protesters
Cuban protestors have been seen flying the American flag as a symbol of freedom and democracy over the past couple of days. But do young Americans think the flag represents the same thing?
Campus Reform reporter Ophelie Jacobson talked with students in front of the United States Capitol about the American flag and what it means to them.
“Shame,” one student said. “I felt like if I had the American flag and was associated with the American identity, I would be associated with a lot of bigotry, racism and sexism.”
Another student said, “It’s a symbol of hurt.”

Faith & Freedom Men's Conference | Atlanta | Sept. 10-11: https://www.christianveteransunited.com/
Campus Reform’s Addison Smith sat down with Dr. Michael Robillard to discuss his exodus from “woke” academia. A former researcher at Notre Dame, junior research fellow at Oxford and resident research fellow at the U.S. Naval Academy, Robillard told Campus Reform that he’d been aspiring to be an academic philosopher since he was 19, but in 2009, he began to see a woke “shift” while he was in grad school.
“The undergrad department that I came up in at West Point [in the 80s-90s]... was a fair and pluralistic department… [but] starting grad school in 2009 or so… you started to see a beginning of this shift towards woke-ism.”
Robillard then explained how “more radical” ideologies like Critical Race Theory and transgenderism started to take off around 2015, and his awakening to the downfall of academia came after getting his dream job. As “contradictory” leftist ideologies erupted onto the scene, Robillard noticed that no one would critique it for fear of “the shame mob”.

INSANE Professor Posts And Deletes 'Blow Up Republicans' Comment | Ep.29
On this week’s episode of the Campus Countdown, Video Reporter Addison Smith criticized UNCW professor Dan Johnson for a now deleted Facebook post in which he wrote, “blow up Republicans”.
Smith pointed out the absurdity of Johnson’s comments, but said that conservatives shouldn’t be surprised by the left’s hypocrisy because “they know they break their own rules; that’s the point.”
“It almost goes without saying at this point, but if the roles were reversed -- be it racial roles, gender roles etc., those on the left would not only decry it… [they] would point out the obvious problems with these types of statements. But I think they actually know they break their own rules; that’s the point. Their standard isn’t one of tolerance, and they don’t pretend it is, and neither should we,” Smith said.
He then cited elected officials like Maxine Waters, who encouraged people to “Stay in the street” and “get more confrontational”, as well as Vice President Kamala Harris, who supported a bail fund that freed violent rioters from prison last year.
“Their standard is that they make the rules, they get to move the goal posts… In their minds, violence is okay so long as they’re the ones calling for it. They don’t hide that anymore… We can’t keep pretending to be surprised by it.
In the rest of the episode, Smith blastred Brandeis University after they were caught having words on their website that they had previously deemed “oppressive language”, and discussed Monmouth’s “unscientific” decision to mandate both masks and vaccines for students. Finally, Smith debunks the common “No uterus, no opinion” mantra the left uses in an attempt to justify abortion.

Paying Students $17.76 If They Can Answer Questions About Independence Day
For the 4th of July, Campus Reform video reporter Addison Smith went around Washington, D.C. to see if students knew basic facts about Independence Day.
Smith asked them if they knew the year America declared independence, who we declared it from, what war was fought to gain independence, among others.
If students answered all the questions correctly, they would receive $17.76.
Many students struggled to even recall the 1776. One student answered that America gained independence in 1986. Another student said America declared their independence from George Washington, and several students named the Civil War as the American Revolution.
After forty-four interviews, only three walked away with the cash prize.

College students NOT proud to be American
With the Fourth of July right around the corner, Campus Reform reporter Ophelie Jacobson went to Georgetown University to see if students feel proud to be American.
The majority of students told Jacobson they were not proud to be American...some even said they were “embarrassed.”
“No,” one student said. “I think a lot of things about this country are really embarrassing: racist history, colonization, even currently, just what’s going on with politics and the cops.”
“I think that’s a complicated question for me,” another student said. “I think most of the time, no...at least over the past four years, it’s been tricky to love to be an American.”
Jacobson then asked students if they think the United States of America is the greatest country in this world.
One student said, “to be a white person, it’s pretty good to live here. But overall, I don’t think it’s the greatest country in the world.”
“America is not really known for being the most hospitable place,” another student said.
But when asked if they could name a better country, no one could.

Correspondent Damien Sanders CRITICIZES UNCW Professor for "Blow up Republicans" Facebook post
Campus Reform correspondent Damien Sanders joined Varney & Co. on Fox Business to criticize a UNCW professor Dan Johnson, who wrote on Facebook, "Blow up Republicans". The university confirmed to Campus Reform that Johnson will be teaching in the fall semester.
Johnson is now apologizing for his comments after the post went viral. In a prepared statement shared through a university spokesperson, Johnson said that he had made a "mistake" in writing the post, and is "deeply sorry for it."
"Recently, I made a mistake, and I am deeply sorry for it. I posted a poorly worded expression of political frustration on my now-deleted personal Facebook page. I profoundly regret it. This statement does not reflect my personal values or UNCW’s culture of civil and respectful discourse," Johnson said.

Women Share What It's Like Being A Conservative In College
Campus Reform correspondent Leana Dippie recently went to Turning Point USA’s Young Women’s Leadership Summit in Dallas, Texas to ask students if they had experienced liberal abuse on their campuses.
Each woman she interviewed shared instances of bias that they have faced as conservatives in college, as well as how peers and professors have attempted to silence them from sharing their views.
One student alleged that her professor wished for Trump supporters to be shot. Another said she was forced to write a pro-abortion paper in order to pass a class.
Students also said that they did not feel comfortable expressing their views to their professors, with one saying that she wished her school welcomed diversity of thought.

Students Condemn Woke School Board's Decision To Erase Holidays From Their Calendar
A New Jersey school board recently voted to remove holidays from the official school calendar to be more “inclusive and equitable.” Now, a petition is calling on the school board members to resign.
Campus Reform reporter Ophelie Jacobson talked to students in Washington D.C. about this story to see if they agreed with the school members’ decision to remove holiday names from the calendar.
When Jacobson asked if students were ever offended by a holiday they don’t celebrate, every single student said no.
Jacobson then told students about the removal of holidays on the New Jersey school calendar. They disagreed with the decision.
“There's awareness that comes with knowing why certain holidays are what they're for, or what they were based on,” one student said. “If you have the day off, and you don't know what it's for, then there's kind of no meaning. I think they should still include them.”
Another student said, “No, just because I think it's important for people to understand why different religions or groups celebrate those holidays.”
Additionally, students told Jacobson about the importance of learning why students have a day off, rather than just skipping school.
Watch the full video above to find out if these students would be happy if their own colleges and universities did the same thing.

Starting Fall 2021 , Rhodes College will charge unvaccinated students $1,500 per semester to “cover the costs of mandatory testing.” The school, located in Memphis, Tennessee, announced the policy in a June 8 letter.
Rhodes College will require the COVID-19 vaccine for all students, staff, and faculty on campus after the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) formally approves the vaccines. As of this writing, the school strongly encourages vaccination.
Students who choose not to receive the vaccine can file a medical or religious vaccine exemption before the start of the Fall semester. Non-vaccinated students will also be required to undergo weekly COVID testing.
