How To Make Diddy Poles (Bank Poles) || Cheapest and Easiest Way!
If you've ever wondered how to make the diddy poles like what we use in some of our diddy pole catfishing videos, I opted to do a how-to video on how to make them cheap and easy! They go by many names - bank pole, diddy pole, ditty pole, bank line, bush hook, etc. No matter what you call them, the concept it basically the same. There are many ways to make one but I show you the way that we've used to catch some of our biggest flathead and channel catfish!

Kayak Hunting Ducks On A Snowy Creek || Iowa Duck Hunting
I took my Ascend H12 kayak down the creek by my house in a snow storm to go hunt some ducks I had found a few days prior. The snow came down over night and kept snowing into hunting hours. The teal I had found several days ago were still there and they provided some very fast action for the morning hunt!
I finished 1 duck shy of my limit, even though I had the opportunity to limit out. I wanted to wait for a big duck for my 6th bird but he never came and I passed on multiple teal opportunities, including a nice drake that sat in the decoys for almost half an hour.

Jump Shooting Ducks And Geese On The Mississippi River || An Imperfect Hunt
This is day 2 of my first Mississippi River duck and goose hunt. There was a lot less wind than the first day which made the duck action sort of shut off early in the morning so Calvin and I decide to go stalk some ducks and geese instead of waiting on them to work in. We had a good stalk on a large group of geese and then found some mallards on a back slough which took us by surprise.

I get the first gadwall of the year and have lots of teal work in. I have taken quite a liking to hunting small creeks and this hunt was the pinnacle so far!

A Barrel Burner In The Muck || Early Season Duck Hunting
Iowa's central zone early opener was a successful hunt for us! Calvin and I went out for opening day and had to hunt our plan B spot. The spot was just skim water and muck but the ducks didn't seem to mind, as the hunt turned out to be a barrel burner anyway!
We got mostly greenwing teal as well as a couple of shovelers. We fought muck, our decoys didn't float and our hide wasn't great but we got it done anyhow.
