Call of Duty: Memorial Day Message
Memorial Day Service is a day set aside to honor those veterans who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our country - their lives. We are thankful for their service and sacrifices. We also remember the families of those who also suffered the grief and agony of loss of their loved on.
As we turn our attention to the Scripture, we find there are many comparisons between those who serve in the military and those who are soldiers in the spiritual battle. Today Pastor Rick will explore a few of those comparisons as we consider our, "Call Of Duty.”

Listen To Your Mother: A Mother’s Day Message Proverbs 6:20-23
Mother’s Day is a holiday with an interesting history. Anna Jarvis arranged a memorial service to honor her mom. The idea caught on rapidly. Unfortunately, it also caught on with card makers and other businesses and soon it turned into a commercialized event. Anna Jarvis came to despise the holiday that she helped to create because of the commercialism.
But putting aside all the commercialization of the idea, the original idea is still a wonderful concept - to honor our moms. Indeed, to honor all women. It is a great time to pause and see what the Scripture says about wives, mothers, and ladies in general. As we consider these things today, Pastor Rick will share from the book of Proverbs that one way to show honor to our moms is to, "Listen To Your Mother."

Growing Up Galatians 3:29-4:7
It is not uncommon in the Bible to find parables and illustrations using familiar earthly concepts that almost everyone would understand in order to teach deep spiritual lessons. Today Pastor Rick takes us to a passage in the book of Galatians where the Apostle Paul used such an illustration. Using the topics of children, adoption, inheritance, and more, Paul shows us that just like in our physical lives, in our spiritual lives we need to be, “Growing Up.”

Keep On Keeping On 2 Thessalonians 3:13-18
In Ephesians 2:10, Paul reminds us that “…we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” But doing these good works, while rewarding and God pleasing, can sometimes be hard in many ways and wear a person down. As we come to the final message in our 2 Thessalonians series, Pastor Rick shares with us, among other closing remarks, Paul’s encouragement to, "Keep On Keeping On."

Ya Don’t Work, Ya Don’t Eat 2 Thessalonians 3:10-12
It’s obviously been a problem for at least a couple of thousand years. It was a problem in the Thessalonican church. We see it all around us as well, yes even in churches today. There are various reasons and excuses for the problem but what it mainly boils down to is selfish laziness which is sin. Today, Pastor Rick returns to our study of 2 Thessalonians where we find a lesson for them, and for us, from the Apostle Paul. In no uncertain terms, Paul teaches, "Ya Don’t Work, Ya Don’t Eat

An Example 2 Thessalonians 3:7-9
The Bible contains some statements that, if taken literally and seriously as they should be, are extremely dangerous to express because of the ramifications of their meaning on our lives. As Pastor Rick returns to 2 Thessalonians, we find the Apostle Paul making one of those statements. He reminds the church to remember how Paul and his team lived when they were there, to follow the life patterns they set down because their life was to be to the believers, "An Example.”

Following God Through Obstacles Joshua 3
Have you ever gotten to a place in your life where you just felt stuck? Has there ever been a time when you knew God had something planned for you, but you were not there quite yet? We have all faced obstacles in our walk with God, some of them have been bigger than others, but the Bible is clear that it takes faith to follow God’s leading in our lives. Especially when there are obstacles in our way. In today’s message Pastor Aaron takes us to Joshua 3. We find the Israelites are on the verge of finally taking possession of the land they had waited so long for, but God is taking another moment to teach His people an important lesson. The message they are to learn is the important of, "Following God Through Obstacles.”

Resurrection Command (Easter Series #3 Easter Sunday) Matthew 28
It’s Easter Sunday, a time we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus! It is a time that proved Jesus had power over sin, death, and the grave. It is a verification of the promise to believers of our future resurrection from the dead and eternal life in Heaven. It is the completion of Jesus’ work to “seek and save that which was lost.” But it isn’t the end. As we turn to Matthew 28, Pastor Rick shows us that when Jesus rose from the dead, along with everything the resurrection did for us, Jesus also gave us a "Resurrection Command."

Who Is This? (Easter Series #2 Palm Sunday) Matthew 21:1-11
It was an unbelievable time. The Passover was coming and preparations were being made. Word of Jesus had spread - the teachings with authority, the miracles He had performed, and that fact that many were following Him. Now, the greatest event in the people’s minds was taking place. Jesus, the king, was about to make a triumphant entry into the City of Jerusalem just as the prophets had foretold. They celebrated by laying palm leaves and their clothes on the ground before him to honor the coming King. Yet interestingly, many in Jerusalem had somehow missed all the stories about Jesus. They began to ask, as many still do today, "Who Is This?”

A Foolish Message (Easter Series #1) 1 Corinthians 1:17-25
Many holidays naturally open doors of opportunity for us to share the most important message people will ever hear in their lives - the message of eternal life by grace through faith. As we approach Easter, a celebration of the resurrection of Christ, we need to make sure we are sharing the real meaning of the holiday. And when we do, some people will find a message of hope and salvation. Sadly, others will simply see it in their lives as, "A Foolish Message.”

A Difficult Balance 2 Thessalonians 3:6, 14-15
Balance is essential in all areas of life: Physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. If we find ourselves off balance in any area, it can not only cause great problems for us it can completely take us out of commission.
As we return to our 2 Thessalonians study, Pastor Rick explores an area that affects our relationships in both our personal and church life. In our text, the Apostle Paul instructs us in handling, “A Difficult Balance.”

God’s SafeKeeping 2 Thessalonians 3:1-5
While it is true that difficulties and hard times do come into our lives, it is also true that God watches over and cares for His children through the hard times. Sometimes we may not understand what God is doing or how He is working, even through difficult times, but if we are faithful He works everything together for good. As Pastor Rick brings us back to our 2 Thessalonians study, Paul shares some prayer requests and encouragements to remind the believers, and us, of "God’s Safekeeping.”

I AM: A Study From The Gospel of John
As Jesus was preaching and teaching He made a number of “I AM” statements. Each of these statements gives a little more insight to the character and work of Christ. When we put them all together we can begin to get a better picture of all that Jesus is and does. In today’s study, Pastor Aaron looks at 7 of those statements and how each apply directly to our lives when Jesus said, “I AM.”

Pastoral Prayer 2 Thessalonians 2:16-17
Prayer is an essential part of the Christian life. While we need to communicate with God about everything in our life, we need to also spend time praying for others. In our 2 Thessalonians study, we have learned that the Apostle Paul expresses several times his thanksgiving to God for the believers as well as letting them know of his constant prayer on their behalf. As we return to our series, we discover that once again Paul pauses to offer, "A Pastoral Prayer.”

Stand Firm 2 Thessalonians 2:13-15
It was a troublesome time for the church. Persecution was coming from the outside. False teachers and their false teachings were attempting to create confusion and despair from the inside. As the church of Thessalonica was struggling through these issues, Paul wrote them a letter in which he included encouragement for them to stay strong, hold on, and keep moving forward in the faith. This same encouragement could be given today to many churches around the world that are facing the same issues. Pastor Rick shares the need for churches today to also heed Paul’s encouragement to, "Stand Firm."

Empowered By Darkness 2 Thessalonians 2:5-12
Evil is all around us. We hear about it, read about it, even see it in person constantly. But God is still in control. While people may make evil choices because of their sin nature, ultimately God the Holy Spirit still restrains and holds back evil from becoming full-blown. As Pastor Rick continues our study of 2 Thessalonians, we are going to discover that there is coming a day when the Holy Spirit will stop restraining evil and the antichrist will be revealed and will be, "Empowered By Darkness."

God Has A Plan Jeremiah 29:11
Sometimes life just doesn’t seem fair. It seems like no matter how hard we try things just don’t go right. In our message today, Pastor Rick takes us back to the book of Jeremiah where Jeremiah is writing to encourage a group that had been exiled from Israel. Only his encouragement didn’t seem very encouraging. But in the end we learn that even when hard times come our way, “God Has A Plan."

Don’t Be Alarmed 2 Thessalonians 2:1-4
There are many things that come into our lives that create anxiety, distress, and fear in our hearts and minds. Those emotions then bubble to the outside and affect our words and actions. As Pastor Rick returns to our study in 2 Thessalonians, we will find that the church was experiencing this kind of fear and reaction for a specific reason. False teachings had crept in and the believers were falling prey to their teachings. Paul’s message to the believers is, "Don’t Be Alarmed.”

Called to Ministry Colossians 4:17
We all have gifts and talents given to us by God to be used to glorify God and further the work of the kingdom. When we use those gifts and talents in that way it is called ministry. God has given each of us ministry work to do. Today Pastor Rick takes us to the book of Colossians and shares with us about a man named Archippus, how the Apostle Paul encouraged him, and what we can learn from his life. We will discover he was, as we are, "Called To Ministry."

No Choice But To Choose: A New Year’s Message based on Joshua 24:14-15
As we bid farewell to 2023 and usher in 2024, it is with a great deal of wonder at what this new year may hold. Both on the national and world scene there are many serious problems politically, culturally, socially, morally, and especially spiritually. However, it seems in many instances God is using these problems to open great doors of effective ministry in the lives of people. As Pastor Rick takes us to the book of Joshua, in the midst of the problems and opportunities we find that as we move into 2024 we have a choice to make. In fact, there is, "No Choice But To Choose.”

Christmas Joy: A Christmas Message
When the angels appeared to the shepherds on the night of Jesus’ birth, they announced they brought good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. This is a joy that Christians should still be experiencing today. It is a joy that should be overflowing out of our lives. As we look into God’s Word today, Pastor Rick shares with us part of the way to experience that great and abundant joy that the angels proclaimed, a way we can all find, "Christmas Joy.”

Why Jesus Came: A Christmas Message (based on the Gospels of Luke and John)
This time of year seems to become incredibly hectic, almost overwhelming at times with all that is going on. There are church and school programs, Christmas gatherings and parties, family coming and going, shopping nightmares, and the list goes on. We can get so wrapped up in all the activities and bluster of all that is going on that sometimes we forget even the simple basics of what Christmas is supposed to be about. Today Pastor Rick is going to take us back to some of the basics, things that most already know, but sometimes we need to be reminded of. Today we are going to consider, "Why Jesus Came."

Your Category: A Christmas Message (based on Mathew 1-2 and Luke 1-2)
There are some paradoxes in life that boggle the mind. For example, on the one hand, things are always changing and in a constant state of flux. Yet, as French writer Jean-Baptiste Alphonse Karr wrote “plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose” — the more things change, the more they stay the same.” King Solomon said, “There is nothing new under the sun.” Things really are the same, just sometimes they come wrapped in different looking paper.
Down through the ages, it is interesting that, in general, as much as we might think we have, people have never really changed. Today, Pastor Rick takes a look at some of the people who were involved in the events of Jesus’ birth and challenges us to consider, what is…
