Kicking it with Su and You

They finally let me go to fly unassisted. This was the first time I felt comfortable in the air. It was cool to really feel free. Quick progress in three jumps.

We be spinnin. I can’t remember what jump number or training jump this was but it was fun.

5500 hop n pop during my A license. When acquiring your skydiving license you are required to jump from 5500ft and 3500ft to display your ability to get stable and deploy quickly in the event of an emergency. Standard jump altitude is between 12000 and 15000 feet.

Finally reached my A license.

Well this was only incredibly terrifying. Due to a lazy throw the deployment bag was hung in my burble (dead air directly above me). Thanks to some quick reaction from my instructor he freed up the D-Bag from the burble and canopy was able to inflate. Notice the line twists on deployment. Fun fact, for anyone doing their first jump, it’s good to look down so you drive yourself to the landing area instead of a mile away.

Four man base. Starts to blow apart when one of us (me) gets sucked under the formation but we stable out. Not sure why I let go? Even in failure skydiving is fun.

I didn’t come up with the name. It is what it is. And it’s self explanatory.

6-way belly. Three team base. Objective was for everyone to make it to the formation. We failed. But it was fun though.
