Rick begins by reminding us that “As it was in the days of Noah, so shall the coming of the son of man be”. This means that everything that happened in the world before the flood will eventually occur before the coming of the son of man. He leads us to the book of Genesis 6 to explain the happenings that led to the destruction of the world during the time of Noah. Also, Jared’s son was named Enoch, which means to teach or to correct. Enoch begat Methuselah, whose name means, “When he dies, it shall come”. Methuselah then begat Lamech, whose name means lamentation, and during his time, evil was at its peak, which was why he was named Lamech.
