This is going to be what I plant my cucumbers in tomorrow. Noah and I filled the truck bed in about 20 minutes. It is taking me much longer to off load it!

My friend Linda gave Noah a two year old cockatiel. He's very nervous but ate a bit of lettuce out of his hand.

We hatched these chicks in the new incubator. It worked great. I decided to move them into the old pool frame and let them work the soil a bit before I plant some cucumbers here.

How I make my bread using my own mature, ripe sourdough.

Mom claims that ketchup cleaned the old burnt on stuff off of the bottom of a very old pan. So I’m trying it on one of my old cookie sheets. This is the result after 30 minutes.

Nope…at least not after only 3 hours.

I’m a newbie at this! I decided to try making sourdough starter with King Arthur all purpose flour and water. Since I didn’t want to throw any away I decided to put it in a half-gallon jar and just see how it goes. We found this nest on our deck and gathered up the nest land all five chicks. They fell after the adult birds began to tear the nest apart and knocked it off the wall from about 12’-15’ high. After watching multiple videos and reading many comments online, we decided to try to feed them ourselves rather than attempt to put the nest back up. We had a tree removed a couple of days ago that provided shade. A recent storm had split the tree and made it very dangerous to leave in place. We think that may have caused the problem for the birds. So, we’ll see how they do. So far so good.

I’m knitting a snuggle sack for my grandson, due next month. I’m hoping to finish by Sunday, which is in six days. For this project I’m using Lionbrand Oh Baby organic in the color camel. My needles are double pointed size 4. I prefer to knit using continental method for speed. Even at my fastest, it takes me about 5 minutes to knit a full round (120 stitches).
