Maria was born in Havana, Cuba in 1963. Her family, excepting her father, left Cuba under political asylum granted by Mexico. Her father stayed behind and was a political prisoner for 17 years, whom Maria finally met when she was 20 years old. Maria came to the United States at 5 years old and grew up in Miami, Florida. Today, Maria is based in Nevada, and is a successful business owner, non-profit organization manager, community-leader and active freedom advocate for the people of Cuba and around the world. She also served as the President of the Cuban Heritage Foundation. Today, we welcome back Jennifer Zeng, who has done in-depth research on Gotion, the Chinese company with ties to CCP which was green lighted by the Biden Administration to build a battery factory in Michigan with tax dollars. Leping Beck graduated from Peking University in 1988 in China. She came to the United States and studied law in the University of Denver. She worked for a law firm for a few years. After starting a family and becoming a mother, she realized her kids were being indoctrinated to hate America during Obama years. Even though she was not political and was an Obama supporter, but she did not like what her kids were learning in schools. She and her husband moved family to North Carolina for the benefits of kids, where she started her own business as a publisher, running her own local magazine in NC. Illa was born and raised in Spain. She has 3 Masters degrees, then did her PhD in Astrophysics in Sweden, and has been working at different universities all her career. Our Italy tour ended with Sicily. The ocean view of Taormina, Sicily from our hotel room was breathtaking. Far in the background was Mount Edna. We visited an ancient amphitheater that could host 4,500 people. Street musicians made the city scene lively and romantic, while Sunday church brought peace and serenity to our hearts and minds. We finished up with a fabulous wine tasting banquet. While I am traveling in Scotland, I am reminded of that wonderful movie "Braveheart" where the hero yells out "Freedom!" instead of begging for mercy. As someone who grew up under Mao's China, without freedom even as a concept, I cherish the freedoms that I enjoy today, not only physical freedom to travel and see the world, but more importantly, the freedom to think for myself and speak my own mind. Sadly I start to see that spirit and culture slipping away from many people in the West due to the repeated false narratives promoted by the mainstream media.
