FOMO & and the relationship to stock market and real estate crashes | vlog#15
Question -If you look at any crash why does it seemingly always happen when a market is at an all-time high? Leave an answer in the comments!
So in this video, I thought I would get you thinking a little bit. In this video, I'm talking about FOMO and how it infects different markets and ends up being the cause of the collapse when the fundamentals eventually shift. FOMO has been a problem now since the pandemic. I said in a previous video that this was coming. It was an all-inspired crisis in our psychological well-being. Markets have been hitting all-time highs for months now. Markets have been distanced from fundamentals operating on sheer emotion. It's quite interesting to watch. Already the cracks are beginning to show. Tulip Mania is a great thing you should look into. Also, check out a book called "this time is different" it explains all about why markets correct and everybody is seemingly blindsided by the prevailing popular culture or common belief.
Thanks for watching! We are officially at the halfway point through the vlogs. Are you enjoying them?
See my posts on Instagram of stunning landscapes and DM me if you have any questions. I'm happy to help and haven't sold my soul to the devil to promote some agenda to sell you a product or service.

talking about wildfire season 2021 for Alberta | vlog#14
So in this video, we dive into fire season in Alberta, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan. So far we've seen a really abnormally dry spring and winter followed by little to none in terms of springtime rainfall. Check out the link below and max the data to see what I'm talking about. That also includes snow in the precipitation total. Snow accounts for less precipitation than rain! 10cm of snow is about 10mm of liquid precipitation. It's interesting to talk about this. So far so good it's been quiet and we hope it stays that way because smoke is the worst thing ever!

I'm back, today we talk immigration..well sort of | vlog#13
Hello everyone. So today's vlog has been a mish-mash of footage because to be honest, I faced two massive obstacles today. It was too cold in the morning to film and take my gloves off. In the afternoon it was too warm and the camera kept overheating. You can't win, right? Anyway, I talk a bit about what my next video theme might be for the channel. I'm not sure so please let me know what you think. These days with the uncertain economy and such I feel like I'm doing duty by spreading the word about these things since nobody else has the bottle to do it. Today I'm talking about why I think the Canadian boom in immigration might be done.
You can DM me on Instagram, I also post lots of nice landscapes.

Meet with the stags, then off on a bike ride FAIL in the Rockies | vlog#12
So in this vlog. Vlog #12 can you believe it already? Are you enjoying it? let me know. We go and look at the spectacular sunrise in Fish Creek Provincial Park by Bebo Grove. We also see two stags on the way and one winks at me. The sign of a great day to come. We then head out to Hwy 40 on Hwy 539 to bike the closed Hwy 40 for the last time before it opens to vehicle traffic on June 15th. We arrived at 10am and it was just absolutely rammed and cars for km's. There were so many cyclists we knew it would just be not fun. It spoils the serenity. So anyway we headed back home looking for other places to stop and didn't find anything. I rap the vlog up at the house.
Hope you enjoyed our weird Saturday

Best place to go for growth in Canada over the next 5 years? | vlog#11
So in today's vlog, we answer a question from Mark D. He asked me: what do you think the best place for economic growth will be in Canada over the next 5 years? Now take this with a pinch of salt guys because nobody can really predict the future. However, I think the most likely thing is the Atlantic Provinces will see lots of investment and people moving there. This trend has already partly started. People are looking for a lower cost of living and to get away from the monotony of life in southern Ontario. Nova Scotia and New Brunswick are apparently beautiful. I know the people are just amazing and funny as I know a couple of people from Nova Scotia. They're also known as the most genuinely nice people in the country.

The cold hard truth about coffee in Canada | vlog#10/30
Hello if your reading this you made it to vlog 10 thanks! You are literally obliged to both subscribe and to like the channel now. In today's video, I briefly touch on the most important headline in the news nobody is talking about then dive into my coffee addiction and rollercoaster of energy it created. I moved to Canada in 2016. Upon arrival, each new member of society is given a cup of Tim Horton's coffee. After they drink it they then become Tim Horton's customers for life. Or maybe we can give it up? You be the judge of that. Is coffee causing pain in your chest?
My Instagram is @lukelivingincanada and I'm always looking to hear your stories

Downtown Calgary & reading your messages | vlog#9/30
Disclaimer: This video contains coarse language and if you're offended easily by such, please do not watch the video.
Hello everyone. Stay for my bonus talk at the end about enjoying the grind.
Thanks all for watching. In today's vlog, I'm in downtown Calgary. The amount of unused office space is just unbelievable and it's easy to toss it to the side as normal but it's not. This was happening before the pandemic and Calgary has been like it for years. The new reality is more and more businesses are closing in Calgary. Unemployment is above 10% and nobody in any government is doing anything about it. Good old Tiff Macklem's ridiculous monetary policy and quantitative easing are causing artificial prices for certain assets like houses. I also read a message that a viewer sent me. He points out that his friend who is Realtor says "not to buy right now" and every other Realtor he speaks to says "now is the time to buy" and for most, they will follow the herd. It's actually interesting because in Calgary if you look at when the peaks of activity have been in real estate it is always right before prices substantially go down. So much for a sure thing? Anyway, I'm trying to cover what nobody else is covering. It's a story that isn't pretty but is the reality. I just hope people see this and prepare! My goal is not to create fear but help people wake up and prepare!
I can't believe we are 30% the way through this challenge. I'm actually really starting to enjoy this now as I feel like I'm speaking my mind more on these vlogs. Thanks for listening and thanks for watching. Keep those comments coming and you guys are the reason I do this.

Want to interact? You can follow or DM me on Instagram @lukelivingincanada
Thanks to all my subscribers for watching!!! ✌️😃
So today we filmed the video and I edited that video. Sorry if I seem tired in the video I was definitely needing a boost. We've been so busy in and around the house and speaking to the family on Skype we haven't had much of a chance to get out apart from my morning bike ride. I take you for a bit of a tour round the pantry. Show you one of my favorite Canadian fruits the Saskatoon berry and the jam we've got. We're also able to get Lyles Golden Syrup which is big in England and we use that in lots of recipes. I hope you enjoy the vlog.

thunderstorms being chased by a dog and picking up glass | vlog #5/30
What a morning. Can't ask for much more action in the first few hours since I woke up. First I biked to Marshall Springs and cleaned up some glass and litter left from the night before. Then I got chased by an angry rottweiler in Woodlands and then thunderstorms. Also encountered many deer on my bike around. Got some footage of the first thunderstorm of 2021. Cannot believe it's been so long. Last time I heard lightning was in February in some random storm. I hope you enjoy the vlog. It's the most exciting of them all so far. And hopefully, they get better from here with more action.

I won a massage! it was good | vlog #4/30
Can you believe it's day 4 already? So in today's vlog, we are in the back of my car. Discussing what the plans are for the weekend. We don't know what will happen with the weather right now but hopefully, it's just afternoon thunderstorms. We're planning on riding our bikes on closed highway 40 in K Country. Or doing something on the bikes. I'm also going to be writing up the questions to ask Jess in the Q&A. Tomorrow I'll be in the creek and it will be light because I'm not so pressed for time I'll wait until 5am for you guys until I go out. Sunday we're are not sure what is on the cards. Maybe a bit of neighborhood tour and vlog as seen as we will be looking at a house rental up in the NW of Calgary. Don't worry guys the vlogs will be more interesting than today.
Thanks so much for watching everyone! ✌️

How do they build homes in Canada and the US?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dyj21hbaSnU
So in this video, I will explain really badly how they build homes in North America vs the rest of the world. It's quite different from most places. The homes are actually built quite cheaply. On average a 2000sqft home costs about $300,000 to build.
