Majestic Stingray Underwater Footage Grand Cayman
Majestic Stingray Underwater Footage Grand Cayman
These stingrays can be found on shallow sandbars in the North Sound of Grand Cayman. You can take a public tour or charter a private one. It is a very special experience to be among the brilliant creatures. The area is known as stingray city.
Stingrays are cartilaginous fish related to sharks. Stingrays are carnivores and like to eat creatures smaller than they are. They feed mostly on things that live on or under the sand. They like shrimp, worms, clams, scraps and more.
Since most species of stingrays have eyes above and mouths below it makes sense that they stay closer to the ocean floor. If they did not do this they would be more vulnerable to predators. The reason is that they would not be able to see threats below them.
Natural predators of stingrays include seals, sharks and sea lions.
Grand Cayman is the largest island in the Caymans. The Cayman islands are located in the Western Caribbean Sea. The Cayman islands are made up of three islands. The Cayman islands are a British overseas territory. They are approximately 450 miles off the cost of Miami, Florida. Grand Cayman has an area of approximately 76 square miles and is estimated to be 22 miles in length.
This is a beautiful place to see and experience.

Ocean Waves Crashing Cabo San Lucas Mexico
A glorious day in Cabo San Lucas! Sunshine, blue skies and wonderful air temp. *Perfect weather.
The rip tides and currents can (and usually do) make these waters unswimmable. However, you can still consider yourself blessed to be able to soak up their sights and sounds.
Listening to the pounding waves, watching them crash upon the craggy rocks, inhaling the air and soaking up the sunshine is a full sensory experience.
