LEO Tactical Training - Carbine Chaos Drills Working On Transitions #policetraining
Recently the stars aligned in one of our Carbine Proficiency 2 Courses and we had the pleasure of having Carlos (LEO) and Jesus (PARA) being the only two students in the course.
This allowed us to really the push the limits of the curriculum for the day and got into some higher level courses of the fire like some different variations of the Chaos Drill. If you want more information on the core Chaos Drill, we suggest you head over to Kyle Lamb with Viking Tactics Channel to see a master demonstration on how it works.
This drill is excellent for the student to start to build that subconscious competence of the nuances of the transitioning from one target to another. The timed aspect of the drill really allows the student to see first hand the results of the seesaw balance between speed and accuracy.

Call of Duty Tactical Birthday Experience - Handgun-Carbine-Shotgun & Precision Rifle #50cal
Our first Call of Duty Tactical Birthday Experience featuring the man of the hour; Grant!
Turning 18 is a major milestone for a young man so we put together a private session for Grant where he got to shoot everything from Shotguns to full auto Tommy Guns. Major shoutout to Trey from @Ares Training Facility who supplied all the exotic guns for the class.
Grant is an ultra talented young man and adapted to everything we taught him extremely fast. As always, we maintained a strong focus on safety throughout the course and ensuring he got plenty of context on what to look out for in terms of safety as we moved from weapon system to weapon system.
As a disclaimer for context of the class, this was only a special shooting experience using a variety of weapons in Call of Duty the video game series and in no way where we advocating or teaching tactics according a video game.
The point of the class was to give Grant a special birthday experience and get to shoot some of the guns from COD while also learning handgun safety and defensive mindset lessons throughout the day.
Big shoutout to Grant and his Dad for choosing to train with us for such a monumental milestone and we look forward to having you both back in the future!

Handgun Proficiency 2 Class Highlights [Part 2 of 2] - The 3 Muddy Amigos #youtubevideos
🔥📢👏Part 2 of the one Legendary Handgun Proficiency 2 class that the Airborne Ranger in the sky was proud of for sure. Keep in mind this is only the second time for Scott and third time for Rick and Chris training with us. These guys have latched onto our curriculum and have improved class to class at an insane rate.
Appreciate Scott and Chris coming back out for Day 2, as well as our buddy Rick who was back in action with us after doing Carbine 1 recently and HP1 before that. And I am pretty sure he built a rain turtle somewhere 🤔🐢
Amazing group as always and these boys went hard in the paint....or the mud as it were haha.
For a dynamic movement class, the mud really ratcheted up the difficulty of some of the strings of fire but that didn't stop these guys. This was hands down one of the funnest classes I have had in a long time with these guys.
Motivation breeds motivation in a training course. If the students are motivated and ready to learn, it resonates with the instructor instantly and lets the instructor know it is time to put in some work. In the mud. 🤣

Junior Operators - Shooting & Utilizing A Car for Cover #youtubevideo #youtubechannel
Marcus (15) and Jack (11) are two extremely special young men. Having trained with us for over a year now, we have developed some special courses for them that involve some out of the box exposure drills like vehicle cover fighting, but most of all mentorship.
While we can definitely understand the "fear" of people on the internet seeing kids being trained tactically; what you don't see can lead you to make some extremely low informed and ignorant comments. At Paladin, we take extra special care to get to know the parents of our students that are under 18, ensure the parents understand exactly what their kids are learning, and encourage them to come to the classes.
Our biggest mission is instilling principles and values into our young students. Our students are the protectors, not the aggressors. Our students learn self control under stress, not flip out emotionally. Lastly, our students are not lambasted with political candor from any side of the isle.
We are absolutely 2A supporters but WE DO NOT preach this in our classes. Just throw a rock at YouTube and you will hit 6 million channels already discussing this everyday competing for the hottest take. Our focus is training and instilling universal principles and values:
-Honesty
-Reverence
-Hope
-Thrift
-Humility
-Charity
-Sincerity
-Moderation
-Hard work
-Courage
-Personal Responsibility
-Gratitude
Without a bedrock of principles and values, the end can justify the means. This is what we see in society today, especially in anything overtly political and values be damned at this point. Angry at politics in society? Then work harder, learning from all angles and sources. Analyze every facet of every side and never forget that no matter how much you may disagree or dislike someone, they are still human beings.
At Paladin we do not train mindless tactical goons, hot head politically entrenched militias or activist groups, and anyone not focused on being a protector of others.
Be a PALADIN for the right reasons.

👮👮♀️TACTICAL TRAINING - CQB FLOWSTATE SCHOOL RUN - ONE MAN ROOM CLEARNING #policetraining #shorts
Click here to watch the full video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DwOakzPg77M
Quick demonstration from a recent active shooter training event with Mt Dora Police Department by Michael with Paladin Response. Keep in mind this is just a quick hallway movement and entry-exit procedures expedient demo and not meant to be a full spectrum clear. If you want to see more of that type of content, please watch our:
One Man Active Shooter Response: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YUuIy...
Two Man Active Shooter Response: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LznjU...
Michael did not have time to do a full spectrum run so you will notice he is purposely NOT CLEARING the closets in the rooms because the point of the video is the hallway flow state and the context is moving to the sound of gun fire but cognizant on the way there of other danger areas that could be exploited by second or third shooter. Footwork and general mechanics (manipulating the rifle or handgun) is a big focus moving forward for police departments which is what we are displaying in this video.
Lastly, load bearing capabilities of the human body as in wearing body armor, battle belts, helmets, etc. break down fast if we do not take that into consideration when we train with firearms. Stance, footwork spacing, where on the rifle we place our support hand, and etc. can drastically affect close quarters combat room clearing in any scenario.
Bending forward at the waist, squatting down low, bending our head sideways on the rifle, etc. will take its toll fast on your body. If your off balance, weapon not stable (grip or stock weld), and on top of all that in pain the entire time.....we promise your mind is not processing what is in front of you or forecasting the enemies next actions, your actions, and your teammates if your working with others under stress. Too much of your cognitive processing skills will inevitably be wrapped up in feeling the aforementioned problems to name just a few.

The Dreaded Dirty Side Exit is NOT Advised but.....#vehicles #policetraining #shortsfeed
John from Paladin Response performing a demonstration (He didn't want to do) of a dirty side exit in an officer down drill. Reason for dirty side exit was the passenger side of the vehicle is obstructed for whatever reason you could imagine.
Point of demonstration was to show how to minimize as much of your silhouette as possible initially before you have to exit the vehicle.

Paladin Studentage - Chris The Smooth Operator - Carbine Proficiency 2 Highlights #tactical
Highlighting our students burning it down on the range in our Level 2 Training Courses!
Introducing Chris "The Smooth Operator" Studentage performing some of the most difficult footwork drills on his first day of training in our tactical Carbine-Rifle series!
We have trained some phenomenal shooters from all backgrounds the last two years in the civilian world but Chris is hands down the most talented natural shooter we have ran across, as well as he has navigated the minefield of YouTube "training" pretty damn successfully.
He blew right through our Carbine Proficiency 1 Course so in true Paladin fashion, we moved on up to the next curriculum Carbine Proficiency 2. However, this is a benefit of taking a private session with us over the group classes. Unfortunately, we can only go as fast as the rest of the class in a group setting which is why we have a cheaper rate for those classes because obviously in a private setting the sole focus is you alone.
Regardless of which option you choose with us at Paladin, we promise you will not only learn some valuable knowledge, improve your shooting skills, but also have a ton fun in our classes.
Thank you Chris for the awesome training session with us and we can't wait to get you in future advanced courses.
👊 Chris "The Smooth Operator" 👊

Paladin 1st Instruction Staff Training Day - Range Montage - CQB Flat Range Warm Up Drills
A few weeks ago we put together a quick on the fly close quarters battle (CQB) and active shooter response training event with some of our local instructor staff, private security clients, and a new friend of the company Kevin whose an instructor for the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office and got a chance to get to know each other.
First time some of our instructors have ever worked together and like always two of them ended up randomly recognizing each other from their time in Baghdad so it was a cool day to say the least. This was very informal and more of a meet and greet within the company for the first time on the range together.
Our hope is to grow these events overtime and pull in more of a staff that are located around the country. At the moment we are more or less gauging where each individual is currently for some have been out of the military or off contract for a year now and have to get back up to operator shape. As we grow in business, it will allow us more and more to solely focus on Paladin and have that crucial internal time together like we had overseas on a daily basis.
We appreciate you rocking with us as we knock the rust off and get ready to go hard in the paint with some action packed content in the future.
We also got a chance to work with our new video photographer and editor Victor from @VictorRodProductions (more to come from him soon) who filmed and edited this video.
Content is ramping up so stay tuned for more live demo cqb live fire runs, funny montages, and more!

Baby Yoda Tactical Training Power Up - Paladin Police Training 2022 - Downed Officer Drill #shorts
Different angle of a previous video we released on LEO Tactical Training - Responding to a Downed Officer that shows a funny moment when John from Paladin Response was demonstrating responding to a downed officer for the Mount Dora Police Department.
Before the drill John slaps the Baby Yoda Bobble Head he noticed on the dashboard of the police vehicle. There's no doubt about it that this can be interpreted as showing off and there's definitely some truth in that but this is not why John did this on the drill overall.
During John's 360 scan assessing his environment before jumping out to deal with the 5 threats preventing him from loading up the downed officer, he noticed a baby yoda bobblehead on the the officers dashboard and quickly thought it would be interesting to see if he could solve the problem before the bobblehead stops moving.
The point of this short clip demonstrates the presence of mind of an operator that has subsconscious competence in his shooting mechanics and tactical knowledge of solving a problem under stress. Super random moment for sure but displays the calm under pressure running a drill cold in front of seasoned officers.
Drills like this are an extremely small sample of the breadth of knowledge that Paladin has to offer for LEO tactical training. Throughout our training we were constantly innovating and creating new drills within the drills to increase processing and forecasting under stress. True tactical skill has nothing to do with cool looking "tactical" dance moves or in sync choreography than it does being able to process everything around you in the moment when you are responding to a threat(s), especially in environments you are not familiar working in.
Check out our staff page at https://paladinresponse.com/ to learn more about the diverse experience, background, and abilities our team of veterans bring from military, law enforcement, and high-end private security.
Clip was filmed at the Lake Tech Institute of Public Safety Weapons and Driving Range in Tavares, Fl - home of the Lake County Sheriff's Office Training Center.

Two Man Active School Shooter Response w/ Paladin Response CQB Instructors | LEO TACTICAL TRAINING
Paladin Response instructors working with law enforcement officers (LEO) in Mt. Dora Florida on dynamic responses to mitigate an active school shooter situation with multiple shooters. Here we demonstrated an aggressive full dynamic close quarters battle (cqb) entry in our two-man active shooter response which was the overall theme for the officers throughout this training. Our focus as instructors was ensuring the officers quickly and tactically moved to the threat in the school and used speed to eliminate the active shooter without hesitation.
This was an impromptu demonstration run at the end of the second day of training and we would like to thank the officers in the video that stayed back to support us as instructors getting a full spectrum run after having served as the opposing force all day. Since we did not have the time to cover limited penetration clearing for this training, we chose to stay with the theme of the training for the officers when we executed our run.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Huge shoutout and thank you to @victorrodproductions for his amazing camera work throughout the training sessions with Mt Dora PD and his dedication to push through the hail of sim round bullets every run to get the content we needed for the training. If you need an amazing cameraman and editor, give Victor a follow.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The best analogy for an active school shooter/cqb situation is the hourglass. Once the first round is fired, the hourglass flips, and the clock begins ticking. An active school shooter situation turns into a fight against the clock with every grain of sand passing through being the equivalent of a human life for the response team.
Making a confident decision and sticking with that decision was a focus throughout this training to mitigate some of the problems that have been highlighted in police responses to tragedies like Uvalde and Parkland. Indecisiveness can result in giving the active shooter unnecessary time and power in the situation whereas on the flip side; if the response team decides a course of action quickly, moves aggressively but tactically to the threat, and engages the threat using simple spacing and angles, the active shooter will ultimately fold under the pressure.
At the end of the day this is an extremely important problem we must solve in this country and police departments around the country, while actively trying to improve their active shooter response training, are dealing with a myriad of issues that the common civilian has no concept of and how it relates to what they see in the media across a broad range of situations that extend even beyond active shooter response training. Everyone has an opinion on what “they believe” police should be doing after Uvalde.
What we do not see is enough people advocating in their local city and counties for more resources for training police. The reality is most police departments are so underfunded when it comes to training that the training directors must practically work magic every year to accomplish what they currently do. People need to stop complaining and gossiping to friends and family and get out there and support their local police departments because they need your help, not your disdain.
The officers we worked with in Mt Dora worked extremely hard throughout the training and it was clear they care about their community and their profession as law enforcement protecting and serving. For us at Paladin, this training gave us a whole different perspective from the inside to understand the challenges police departments are facing currently. For us at Paladin these officers more than earned our respect and admiration throughout the training and we encourage anyone that wants to help their local law enforcement and community to get out there and ask questions at your local government level.
Do you know what the training budget is for your local department that will be responding to your child’s elementary school? Does your local department need assistance to raise money for new gear or capabilities for their officers like rifles in their patrol cars? How much training does your local department receive for active shooter response/cqb? These are all questions each one of us are capable of not only knowing the answer, but we all have the power to change it by getting involved locally.
RUN NOTES FOR CONTEXT
• We are using simunition rounds, not airsoft/paintball
• We started this run with the ammo left on us after the last scenario of the day for the officers and Leroy Jenkins the run due to time
• We will 100% enjoy addressing troll comments with a narrated version in the future but encourage constructive feedback and questions

Knowledge Transfer Extreme Close Quarters Pistol Fighting
WARNING - Do not attempt this live fire without proper instruction on the range.
In the video, you are seeing a snippet of the complete class (Defensive Handgun 1), as well as this is a level 3 course which means you have to have completed Handgun Proficiency 1 and Handgun Proficiency 2 with us before you can attend this course.
The technique featured in the video was conceptualized and put into practice by Craig Douglas with @ShivWorks and is an evolution of the various techniques we have used over the years to achieve the same goal; fighting from retention shooting.
When I was in the military in the early 2000's I was introduced to what I consider the first real iteration of extreme close quarters fighting, and that was the basic hip hold out of the holster. There is a few important nuances to this technique, foremost of which is keep your head over the gun in order to get a proper index and control of the firearm. Years later we have an evolution with the magazine index technique which I believe came from the Seal teams. However, this technique still has issues in some areas just the hip hold before it, that I believe Craig Douglas found the solution to with ECQC - Extreme Close Quarter Concepts.
There is vastly more to the curriculum Craig teaches out at Shiv Works but the above video is a basic baseline for beginning down this road. I implore everyone interested in this technique, to check out more Craig Douglas on his website and book a class down there as soon as possible if your looking to learn from the master himself.
At Paladin, you are going to get some of the most comprehensive training offered in the market but we understand the importance of diversifying your training regiment. Especially when it comes to an extremely niche and extremely important technique concept like ECQC. There are very few trainers we recommend as highly as Craig Douglas and as combat warfighters, we appreciate the time and work he put into this concept that should be a part of any professional gunfighters training program or civilian looking to protect themselves.
