Fresh satellite images reveal a worrying development on the India-China border. A Canadian detective was suspended and vilified after it came out that she was personally investigating cases of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) in relation to childhood vaccination. Helen Grus took it upon herself to look into the matter after nine babies died in Ottawa following their mothers getting “vaccinated” for the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19). Grus wanted to determine whether or not the shots had anything to do with the babies’ deaths. Some of the families felt as though their privacy was breached by Grus’ probe, prompting the Ottawa Police Service (OPS) to settle with at least one of them. Grus was then suspended and had her life turned upside-down, all for trying to get to the bottom of what killed the babies. According to reports, Grus allegedly contacted the father of a deceased baby whose family was part of the settlement on Jan. 30, 2022. She asked about the mother’s COVID “vaccination” status, police documents indicate. The family then filed a complaint against Grus with OPS, which resulted in Grus being suspended with pay on Feb. 4, 2022. The same retailers that have helped to push consumer prices up by 20% over the past four years are getting desperate as shoppers aggressively tighten their spending to cope with stubborn inflation. Some of the biggest retail chains in America are on a price-cutting spree to gain back their customers now that sales are declining faster than expected and financial results have started to disappoint. They are finally feeling the consequences of the substantial price hikes they have passed on to consumers since 2020. That's why some companies are reporting discounts of up to 30% to lure people back into their stores. Big name-retailers like Target, Walmart, Aldi, Best Buy, Home Depot, and more, are introducing a shift in sales strategy to prevent facing even bigger financial losses over the coming quarters, according to multiple reports. Executives are saying that American consumers have become too “price-conscious” and “choosy” after years of persistent price increases. At this point, not only those at the bottom of the economic ladder are curbing their spending. Chad Lusk, consumer and retail group managing director for consultancy firm Alvarez & Marshal, noted that upper-income households are also changing their consumption patterns due to lower affordability. “The 'budget conscious consumer' is no longer just low- or middle-income earners," he told CNN. "By far the starkest decrease in intent to spend is coming from the higher-income groups, and those that were previously the most immune to an economic downturn are now tightening their belts." The rapid change in consumer behavior is prompting swift action by retailers, who cannot afford to lose any more customers. Last week, Target executive vice president and chief food, essentials, and beauty officer, Rick Gomez revealed that more than 1,500 items faced price cuts in the past month alone, including staples like frozen chicken breast, cheese, butter, and baby supplies, like diapers and cleansing wipes.

Former US Marine Corps Intelligence Officer and UN weapons inspector Scott Ritter has told TASS that he was not let board a flight from New York to Istanbul, a stopover on his way to Russia to take part in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. "I was taken off flight from New York to Istanbul. They took my passport and taken my bags off the flight," he said. He also said that no explanations were given to him. The police, in his words, said only that it was done at the order from the Department of State. According to Ritter, another US expert, former judge and now Judging Freedom podcast host Andrew Napolitano, will not go to Russia either. A new migrant crisis is brewing in the United States. Unlike the one at the southern border, this one will be all over the country. Evictions are rising rapidly as millions of Americans face soaring rent increases driven by inflation, a shortage of affordable housing, and the end of pandemic relief. Rent prices are now 31.4% higher than pre-pandemic levels, with the median rent surpassing $2,000 in May 2024, according to Zillow. This explains why a quarter of U.S. renters say they can no longer afford rent, and about one in five plan to move back in with parents or friends, according to a study by Intuit Credit Karma. "The current housing market has many Americans making adjustments to their living situations, including relocating to less expensive cities and even moving back in with their families," said Courtney Alev, consumer financial advocate at Intuit Credit Karma. "What's most concerning is that rising housing costs aren't just impacting younger generations, but older generations, too." Alev noted that while rent prices have been surging in most parts of the country for a while, Americans have also had inflation, higher borrowing costs and record-high credit card debt to contend with. That's on top of federal student loan payments that resumed in October. No wonder why so many Americans are feeling pessimistic about the economy. Earlier this year, a Harvard study found that half of the country’s 102 million renters spend a third or more of their income on housing. In other words, about 51 million households are currently cost-burdened by rent. Whitney Airgood-Obrycki, a senior research associate at Harvard, said, "It’s one of the worst years we’ve ever seen." She added that the number of Americans spending 30% or more on rent in 2024 had not been seen since the Great Recession in 2008, when 10 million Americans lost their homes to foreclosure.
