Out With Our Old Generator & In With Our New One – 05/28/2024
Yeap, it was time to bid farewell to our 2000 PowerBack GT5250, while I also introduce our new 2024 Westinghouse 15,000/12,000-Watt Dual Fuel. I elaborate in the video how it was just not cost effective to fix the old generator, AND, why it would not even be suitable as a backup. The one thing I left out in the video, is that the new generator required a 30-amp plug whereas the old one had a 20-amp; they are two different, uninterchangeable plugs. There was no way we would be changing out plugs [possibly in the dark] just to have a backup; that’s what sealed the deal with us, making the decision to finally send the PowerBack to the recycling bin!

Some Good News Updates For 2024 – 05/26/2024
I know, I’ve been busy, BUT, I have finally got some new feathers in my cap! As I state in the video, I am determined to make 2024, the year of doing; the year that this is when things happen!
I got my QEI in April, and then just this past Thursday May 23rd, I passed my road test & my B license of 9 years has been upgraded to an A-license!

Starting Off 2024 [Positively] – 03/03/2024
Yeah, I know I’m starting a bit late for 2024; almost the end of winter. But, anyhow, I start off with a new Dyna-Glo my father got. My 2019 Hyundai Sonata-SE is no longer with me, BUT, it is for the better & I make good out of that; I don’t completely elaborate on why just yet, as I plan to do so later this year! I just want to let everyone know I’m still up & about, & my plan to improve my channel & myself.
For those of you wondering where you can get the grill in this video, here is the link:

Wrapping Up 2023 – 12/31/2023
Surprisingly only 3 minutes long. Yeah, 2023 sucked! However, I do mention some of the silver linings to all the B.S that took place this year. I did what I did in the second half of this year realizing that no matter what I did, this year was going to suck! So, I let this year be the year I got all the B.S out of my way, so as to ensure a better 2024. And yes, I also gladly quote a fictional character as his statement can relate to what’s going on in the world right now. So, goodbye & good riddance to 2023, let’s go Brandon, and may 2024 be great!

I’ve Had My 2019 Hyundai Sonata-SE For 4 Years – 12/25/2023
Yeap, I can’t believe it either, but, it’s been four years now. So, I did start filming the next day, December 21st, BUT, I got caught up in a call and other things at home & did not finish the video until Christmas Day! So, there you have it. Unfortunately, throughout the course of this year, 2023, things with this car took an unfortunate turn for the worse! The one thing I did not touch up on enough in this video is the two other times this car laid down on me this year, including being stuck in Albany for a month with this knock sensor problem. So, this car was down for almost a combined time of 3 months this year! So, I in turn had to drive my truck a lot this year!

I’ve Had My 2018 Ram 3500 (SRW) For 6 Years – 10/09/2023
Yeap, it’s been six years now that I’ve had my 2018 Ram 3500 (SRW). I will say, it faired much better in the 2022 – 2023 yearly cycle than that of the 2021 – 2022 yearly cycle. By the end of the day on September 27, 2023, the truck ends the day with 96,900 miles on the clock. Last year, the truck was still down at the dealership and ended September 27, 2022 with 77,678 miles; that makes it 19,222 miles for the 2022 – 2023 yearly cycle. I mainly cover the KYB Monomax gas performance shock absorbers I put on the truck. I wanted the truck to have good suspension before I put on some new Mickey Thompson Baja Legend EXP tires. The one thing I’m not liking is that rust on the right-rear fender well. The only other thing for this anniversary, is that my problem was with the timing of this truck’s problems; if there was a “1” in front of the truck’s age or mileage, then I would have no case!

The 3500 Pulls Some Rocks (Part II) – 07/22/2023
Part 1 video of the 3500 pulling rocks: https://rumble.com/v2sgbvq-the-3500-pulls-some-rocks-part-i-06032023.html
Video of my towing kit: https://rumble.com/v2w2i6y-my-towing-and-recovery-kit-06192023.html
Well, as the title implies, this is a follow up of Part 1 that I shot on June 03, 2023, Saturday. Unlike Part 1, I don’t show the process of getting the anchor into the rock, as I did not want to lengthen the video; that is why in the video I say to just watch part 1 & look at its description to know more about the tools I used, the link is above. The same holds true for my tow hooks, bow shackles, & slings; see my video about my towing kit, the link is also above as well.
The boulders are much larger, AND, I did not do any preliminary work; I just ripped them the f**k out! It’s worth noting that I will do a follow up video of the holes and the replanting of the grass.

My Towing & Recovery Kit – 06/19/2023
In this video, I show what I carry in my towing kit that I made myself. I show the most imperative part of it which is my hitch receiver shackle mounts. I do mention why they are important to have; especially because pulling by a ball hitch is dangerous & can be DEADLY! That is what caused the death of Ryan Woods; please see ink below.
First, here is a link to the story of Ryan Wood’s death when he was killed by a ball hitch:

The 3500 Pulls Some Rocks (Part I) – 06/03/2023
This shows how I move a rock with my 2018 Ram 3500, and some other tools I got along with the steps & machinations I went through. Yes this video is a bit lengthy and detailed, BUT, this is “Part 1” & when I pull the next rocks, the next parts won’t be as detailed and cut to the chase; in those upcoming videos, I will reference & link to this video for those who want the details you will see in this video. These rocks stick out just far enough to kill my mowers blade’s. So this rock you see in this video, is the first rock I was looking to pull last summer and had already done the preliminary work then. But then my truck had to be down all summer, plus my hectic life, which then forced this rock to be put off until this year.

My New 18” Winter Wheels – 02/14/2023
I explain in the video why I phased out my 17”, LT-235/80-R-17 Firestone Winterforce-LT, & why I got these 18”, LT-275/70-R-18 Bridgestone Blizzak LT’s instead.
Just to recap:
A lot of this is largely under the category of “I didn’t know, what I didn’t know”.
As I mention in the video, the LT-235/80-R-17 is more of a dually size, and because of this, the load rating of the individual tire is lower; this is a non-issue for dually’s as there are four of these such tires on one axle. The LT-275/70-R-18 however has the higher load rating being better suited for the single-rear-wheel applications; this explains why this size is automatically selected for the 2500’s if one asks for a higher weight rating on it, & why this size is just standard on the SRW 3500’s.
The final thing worth mentioning is how significantly different the diameter difference is between the LT-235/80-R-17 & the LT-275/70-R-18; It’s to the point that I even had to get a separate winter spare.
Here is the link I mentioned in this video to the video that elaborates on this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X2obr21Bnj8
It would be a non-issue if the two different sizes could be programmed easily into the ECU, and by that, I mean have the two different sizes already in the menu and just switch between the two.
I just wasn’t happy with the Firestone Winterforce LT’s, cobble that together with the fact that there was no real selection [besides the Firestone Winterforce LT’s] for the LT-235/80-R-17 size, I thought, well, if I’m going to have to buy snow tires again (especially when I really didn’t want to), I’ll just go with the size it call for & the other benefits of going with the size it calls for as I mention in the video. There was A LOT more selection in terms of snow tires for the LT-275/70-R-18 size.

Front Strut(s) Replacement On The “LF” Hyundai Sonata/ “JF” Kia Optima – 09/04/2022
So, just 1 mile past 97,000 miles, it was time for some new struts on the front of my 2019 Hyundai Sonata-SE. It is worth noting that this generation of Hyundai Sonata is known as the “LF” generation from 2014 – 2019; the Kia equivalent being the “JF” generation Optima from 2015 – 2020. These quick struts are made by FCS Auto which I got from the Rock Auto website; based on the vehicle information I punched in at Rock Auto, I was directed to part numbers, FCS 1334069L & FCS 1334069R. I went with quick struts because the springs have lost their tension and the ride height was uneven, and the dealer does not have quick struts from the manufacturer & I therefore would have had to piece everything separately; just one strut & nothing else from the dealer would have been $331.96 (after tax). I also don’t have the equipment needed to put the strut assembly together which in turn means I would have to have that done for me, then multiply that by two; this all means that this would have been at least a $1,500 job at the dealership!
Here is the link to the Rock Auto website, ALWAYS put in the correct information of your vehicle; that is why I did not link directly to the struts I used:
https://www.rockauto.com/

Power-Stop Install Follow-up & Wheel Mounting Surface Cleaning – 08/15/2022
The title more or less sums it up. So, 7,725 miles after I install the Power-Stop Z23 Evolution Sport Brake Kit I will get very occasional & intermittent brake pulsations. I show in the video how lateral runout on the tire/ wheel assembly can be a contributor to brake pulsation. It is just as important to make sure that the surface between the wheel and rotor is clean as it is between the rotor and hub-bearing flange; because build-up of anything on the wheel mounting surface can cause the wheel to clamp down unevenly on the rotor & could make it run unevenly. I clean the powder coating and residual buildup off the wheel and off the mounting surface of the brake rotor, along with turning the wheel 144 degrees to get rid of the intermittent brake pulsation.

Complete Power-Stop Brake Job On The 2019 Hyundai Sonata-SE – 05/07/2022
Yeap! All four brakes are being done on my 2019 Hyundai Sonata-SE. I got tired of my rotors warping & decided I need something more heavy duty. So. I decided to install the Power-Stop Z23 Evolution Sport Brake Kit. For my 2019 Sonata-SE, it is kit #K7522; this particular kit comes with all new drilled & slotted rotors with all new carbon fiber ceramic brake pad with all new hardware. You can go to the official Power-Stop website to see what fits your vehicle. One thing worth noting is that Power-Stop DOES NOT give the option to buy directly from them. However, when you look up what you want on the official Power-Stop website, it will list below the item, the authorized dealers, online & bricks-&-mortar. In my case, I clicked Auto Zone & Power-Stop directed me right to Auto Zone’s page that had my kit; see the video for more information about my experience with getting this kit from Auto Zone. The biggest thing I want to point out before you click these links, is, ALWAYS, look up your exact year, make, model, & trim!

The Wheels On My Brother’s 2019 Elantra-SE – 04/24/2022
Very few videos have ever been done about by brother’s 2019 Hyundai Elantra-SE. MY brother is not very much into cars, however, he wanted his rims painted & he really wanted gold; he likes the black & gold theme. I explain in further detail in the video. What was most significant about this painting project was that this is the first time I did a base coat, then clear coat; I usually do single stage especially on wheels. As I explain in the video, even I was just blown away & did not expect it to come out this great. The paint used was Rust-Oleum #7270 Gold Rush Metallic, then, glossed over with #257884 Auto Gloss Clear. The black lug nuts I used where from Amazon.

Unpackaging & Review Of The Tackform Headrest Mount – 01/28/2022
Well, here it is, my first video for 2022, and just as I predicted in my “Wrapping Up 2021” video, the unpackaging & installation of the new Tackform 10.75” headrest camera mount would be my first video for 2022. I don’t know why, but I just can’t get my camera’s focus to work right; might have an actual issue with the camera that warrants a warranty claim. As explained in the video, I use the metal bars on my bed for a demonstration as it is more open and could get the angle that I simply couldn’t inside a car; I do ultimately show what it looks like inside a car. I didn’t do a driving video as I wanted this video to be more about the unpackaging & review of the headrest mount; my other reason is that if I do a driving portion, now it’s more on the camera & its performance & not much to do the headrest mount that this video was meant to be about.

I’ve Had My 2019 Hyundai Sonata-SE For 2 Years – 12/23/2021
I can’t believe it’s already been another year with my 2019 Hyundai Sonata-SE. I got to say, this car has been solid & reliable. At least with this car, the few weak links it might have had, there was an aftermarket to address it & I was able to fix myself at a reasonable cost. Unlike my many other 4-cylinder cars, I can keep the money I save in gas. By the end of the day December 20, 2021, the car had reached 72,000 miles! Exactly one year prior, the car had reached 35,000 miles; this means the car was driven 37,000 miles this yearly cycle; this is the most I’ve ever driven any car that I have owned. Just see the video for a better elaboration on what I’m talking about.

Some Updates & Whereabouts for December 2021 – 12/16/2021
Not much going on here. I just haven’t made a video in a while [especially after I showed my new intro] & just wanted to share some things that are going on. My 2018 Ram 3500 SRW sustained a minor “injury” working in the woods; no worries, I’ve got everything arranged so it will be getting repaired just before Christmas. I also share other progress I’ve made with the lumber & happily point out that we normally don’t get this done until Spring. The last thing I share is my long-term plans for the 2009 Cub Cadet SLTX-1054 [as it is starting to show its age] & a plan for an investment the family is looking to make. Again, not much, but I plan to make a couple more videos before the year is out.

First Video From The New Camera & New Intro – 11/21/2021
Well, here it is. The first new video from my Canon EOS M50. I explain some of the things that went into my new intro & I elaborate on why I spared the Nikon Coolpix L830. The one piece of misinformation that I want to correct about the Canon EOS M50, that is, its photos are in 4K, but NOT the videos it shoots; the videos are 1920 x 1080p, BUT, has 60 frames per second (F.P.S).
*For those who just want to see the dang intro, just skip to 3:52*

The New Camera For Suburbanator91 – 11/18/2021
First & foremost, this video you are watching, is the last video being shot with the Nikon Coolpix L830 that I’ve had for almost six years now. I’ve actually had the new camera for a few months, but just haven’t had the time; the biggest thing being was the making of my new intro with the new camera & I wanted that done first. So, my new camera is a Canon EOS M50. It will take better videos because of its better sensors, AND, it is a 4K resolution with 60 F.P.S versus my current Nikon Coolpix L830 that has only 29 F.P.S with 1080P resolution. Just watch the video for a better elaboration on why the Canon EOS M50 is just better suited for videos than that of my Nikon Coolpix L830.

I’ve Had My 2018 Ram 3500 (SRW) For 4 Years – 09/27/2021
Well, hard to believe it, but it’s been 4 years now since I took delivery of my 2018 Ram 3500 Single Rear Wheels (SRW). I am unfortunately a bit negative about this truck this time around, especially compared to last year’s video at the 3-year mark. Just stay tuned & watch the video, as I point out why I will still be keeping this truck. After all is said & done, I am not a fanboy, AND, I point out that everyone sucks in their own way and that’s why I’ll just keep what I have; I still did not forget the way this truck “stepped up to the plate” if you will, when I got screwed by my Corolla at the worst possible time. So, unless $60K just falls from the sky & I could buy a Ford F-350 (SRW) flat-out without financing it, the 3500 is here to stay!

Replacing the Wheel Speed Sensor On My 2018 Ram 3500 (SRW) – 09/22/2021
So, what happened here is that the wire to the wheel speed sensor got loose from its bracketry, got caught on probably the wheel & ripped itself out. This video shows what is involved, such as the brake rotor having to come off and what problems to expect. The whole thing with the brake rotor really sucks, because it was an otherwise good rotor, and only had to be messed with because FCA could not design a cable tie-down system correctly! I hate seeing an otherwise good part go before its time, especially, when it had to do with some other part that had nothing to do with it directly; that is why I opted for the “better” aftermarket rotor in this case. Sorry for the video being so lengthy, but there where many important points that needed to be driven home.
