Persona 3 Reload, Part 41: Another Brief Night In Hell
On the grind, departing from the Harambe block to the Abba block so we can feel even cooler with every boss beaten. Rather skippable episode.
If you're young or a parent and are reading this: this is a dark game. It is rated M for mature because it does exceed T in some things. There is no sex (though there is the occasional suggestiveness you'd expect from pubescents), there is death but it's mostly unrealistic (fantasy monsters) and not shown (happens just off screen), the summoning comes off as dark, but quickly fades into the background. Some blood and mature language is found here. I feel any normal high schooler since at least the 1980s has been exposed to this content in their daily lives besides magical fantasy violence. This is not for 8 year olds; 12 year olds probably can handle it depending on maturity, 15 year olds almost certainly can.

Persona 3 Reload, Part 40: The Second-Easiest Hard Choice...
...Only because the easiest one is in P5R. Death says he's going to eat my ass, so I tell him to eat my ass, and we go to the New Year's festival at the shrine. A bit of faffing about around that, as all my remaining social links are in school and school's out.

Persona 3 Reload, Part 39: The Final-ish Countdown
A night mostly of time in Tartarus. After about 45 minutes this is fairly skippable, but before has important points: we beat Ken's face in for the betterment of his morale, Junpei finally finds his spine, and Aigis finds out the true meaning of Christmas, or something. Tomorrow, some very important decisions need to be made.

Persona 3 Reload, Part 38: Why Do You Fight?
A day of social links and plot. The Empress stands tall, RNJesus remains ruthless, and Akihiko finally gives u what we've wanted the whole time. Tanaka sends me supplies for my exams... after they are over, but the exams go well anyways. After that, it seems that everyone besides Junpei has a spine. I spend Christmas Eve/Christmas alone, like the loser I am per RNJesus, and I come to the realization that I think I'm going to fall short on getting all of the social links (I'll be close, but I think if I entirely skip one from here, I can get the rest, sorry).

Persona 3 Reload, Part 37: Dancin' In The Moonlight, Errybody
After grinding myself smooth and round in between the last episode and this one, we throw our hands up to RNJesus, who is a wrathful and unforgiving God. Speaking of Gods, Aigis decides to 1v1 one's strongest soldier, and we wrap up by being forced to grind the Empress for a week straight (actually good gameplay design, given the circumstances).

Persona 3 Reload, Part 36: Caring About Junpei Via The Power Of Transference
On today's docket: Mitsuru being baffled about a ramen shop despite being a native of Japan, the true waifu makes us sad for a moment, Chidori makes us sad for a little bit longer, someone forgot that a revolver can fire again if he just pulls the trigger because he's an idiot, and Yukari's mom decides that she needs to stop riding the **** carousel after nine years, but only if Yukari's okay with it.

Persona 3 Reload, Part 35: Wooing The True Waifu/Dodging My "Execution"
We're back on track--high-speed rail track, more specifically. But before the school trip, I need to: trip over some sushi, go to a shady gambling parlor in the middle of the day, and spend time with the true waifu: Elizabeth (I thought that sequence had to happen in December and at night, but I only got this far in P3P once or twice). (Sorry about the minute of dead silence halfway through.) We catch up on the full breadth of secret recordings up to this point, then go on the school trip. While out there, I bully the french a bit, Mitsuru ascends to godhood, Ryoji almost confesses his love to us, and Junpei tries to get us killed... thanks bruv.

Persona 3 Reload, Part 34: Ferret Birthday Short Stream
It's my ferrets' birthday! I didn't short stream because of that though. This is a skippable episode because all I do is spend time in Tartarus. I thought I'd be there for 15-30 minutes, but was there for over an hour, so I figured cutting it short, making it skippable, and starting fresh for the next one was better for you. Did another Monad hallway, made fun of the Moon, saw the last Old Document, and Elizabeth mentioned *HER BROTHER*, which I had some things to say about right at the end.

Persona 3 Reload, Part 33: Just Taking Your Girl To Dinner, That's All
Started rough because I'm not a professional and this isn't even mid-budget. What's new: The Tower is actually wholesome, the Sun actually surprised me, and I gave the new guy my contact info through telepathy... apparently. Justice and High Priestess get their 15 minutes finally, and I... take a 10 year old to the bar. What is my life? Finished out with a little Tartarus, as a treat.

Persona 3 Reload, Part 32: The Dark Hour Living Up To Its Name
Oh, that's what he meant.
(In addendum to my rant in this episode, I looked: None of those wounds were so immediately dire. Even if the kidney was hit, the American College of Surgeons (in 2019) found only 1 in 8 wounds to the kidney, where the kidney was penetrated, were fatal. There was time. It was probably too far over to hit the stomach too, so there should be no coughing of blood either. Sorry Elizabeth stole your skeleton, I could have otherwise pointed to the problems.)

Persona 3 Reload, Part 30: Creeping Up On The Moon
An episode of social links, for the most part, again. I finally had a day where I had to boost a social link before leveling up a second time--time's getting precious. Also: RNJesus chose to disfavor the first of potential waifus, and I bully the French.

Persona 3 Reload, Part 28: The Dam Has Broken
"When you arise in the morning give thanks for the food and for the joy of living. If you see no reason for giving thanks, the fault lies only in yourself. Abuse no one and no thing, for abuse turns the wise ones to fools and robs the spirit of its vision. When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.”
~Chief Tecumseh, 1768-1813
I knew it was coming, I just thought it happened later, and boy does it hit harder than it did being presented through menus in P3P. I also, on a much lighter note, maxed all my social stats and cleaned up the Devil. Only the Tower at night now I think.
(Note for the title of this episode: Castor is Polydeuces' brother in Greek mythology, and the name literally translates to "Beaver.")

Persona 3 Reload, Part 26: Brief Night In Hell
A probably skippable episode, to be candid. I didn't have a usual multiplayer night to stream, so I started my pre-full moon Tartarus trip, and didn't do anything that is story important, besides maybe a single rescue of someone who I already social linked up to 10. There was a new enemy revealed, but it's just a fancy version of a treasure hand.

Persona 3 Reload, Part 25: Running Out The Clock Like Always
Fortune gets reverse Uno'd by his dad, Star reveals more of his tragic past, Strength is talking about babies (UwU), and Emperor gets what he effing deserves. I realize I'm running out of time and need to spread myself thin to ensure I can cram what remains in... I'm not certain but I feel like I have ~80 days to do ~70 social links that aren't available every day. I also find out that the cosmos always wanted my favorite number to be four, somehow, and disclosed a couple takes that to me are lukewarm, but some people might find hot. We wrap up entering Tartarus, and might or might not be there when we come back; stay tuned!

Persona 3 Reload, Part 24: An Episode Of Internal Struggles Instead
Everyone's past and present is tragic here in Depression: The Game. The Sun is being the Sun, a ten year old is making a living will, Shinjiro's convinced he's about to die because of ???, animals are being abandoned, and I casually take a coma with no one noticing but Aigis. What a week. Will you persevere, or will you succumb?

We then three-way tag team maximum bulli Mitsuru on the way home from dinner. We also get two in-depth lessons on how to read tarot cards, and found out that Shinjiro is unbothered by extra-dimensional strangulation... fetish much?

Persona 3 Reload, Part 21: Tangents, Tirades, and Tartarus
A bonus night of Persona replacing my normal multiplayer nights. I'm glad this one fell off the cycle, as it was entirely in Tartarus and is skippable to those who only want story/social links. Mostly a grind, but besides that I had a death so stupid I started talking about my consistent and repeatable issues with just about every game having XCOM math with me. Outside of Tartatus content, I had a couple tangents about FeMC and the meeting-the-gradeness of the P3-5 waifus.
