Matt Booth and Justin Andrews are at it again. The dynamic duo have developed their second collaboration for Sancho Panza. Called Sancho Panza Extra Chido, the new, three-cigar, full-time collection marks the first time a Sancho Panza blend has been made in the Dominican Republic.
“I'm stoked to be collaborating with Justin again on this extension to the Sancho Panza product saga. It is an honor to contribute my part to such a classic brand. More to come…,” said Matt Booth.
Three-country, six-leaf blend delivers a rich, medium-plus smoking experience peppered with subtle spice and transitions smoothly throughout. This is realized through an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper, Nicaraguan binder and a foundation of multi-priming tobaccos including Nicaraguan ASP and tercio-aged Dominican Piloto.
Sancho Panza Extra Chido is handmade in Santiago, DR at General Cigar Dominicana and debuts with three sizes that each come in 20-count boxes.

Blog post of review: https://tinytimblog.blogspot.com/2024/05/foundation-cigars-wiseman-maduro-toro.html
(Description taken from Halfwheel.com website)
Foundation Cigar Co. has announced that it is discontinuing its El Güegüense and original The Wise Man Maduro blends, the first two regular production lines the company introduced, and is replacing them with two new blends. These moves are part of a larger shift from the company which has ended its relationship with the Aganorsa factory in Estelí, formerly known as Tabacos Valle de Jalapa S.A., i.e. TABSA—and has started a new one with the García family’s My Father Cigars S.A. factory.
According to a report from Cigar Aficionado, the company is introducing the Wise Man Corojo and a new Wise Man Maduro, both of which will be made by My Father.
Today we look at the maduro toro version.
The Wise Man Corojo uses a corojo-seed wrapper from Nicaragua, while the Maduro uses a Mexican San Andrés wrapper. Underneath, both cigars use tobaccos from Nicaragua: binders from Estelí and Jalapa, while the fillers come from Condega, Estelí and Jalapa. Each will be offered in the same four sizes:
Wise Man Corojo / Maduro Corona (5 x 48) — $10.50 (Box of 20, $210)
Wise Man Corojo / Maduro Robusto (5 1/2 x 50) — $11.50 (Box of 20, $230)
Wise Man Corojo / Maduro Toro (6 x 52) — $12.50 (Box of 20, $250) REVIEWED TODAY
Wise Man Corojo / Maduro Double Corona (7 x 54) — $13.50 (Box of 20, $270)
“We are excited to introduce the new Wise Man Corojo and Wise Man Maduro to our lineup,” said Nicholas Melillo, owner of Foundation, in a press release. “Working with Pepín García and his family has been a dream come true, and we believe that cigar enthusiasts will appreciate the craftsmanship and flavor profiles of these new offerings.”

Blog post of review: https://tinytimblog.blogspot.com/2024/05/gellis-family-cigars-marevas-5-18-x-43.html
(Description taken from Halfwheel.com website)
A year ago, Kyle Gellis, the founder of Warped, began posting about a new brand on social media: Gellis Cigars. A year later, that project is now in stores, albeit with a slightly different name.
The name is now Gellis Family Cigars, though the concept appears to be quite similar: a brand from the Warped founder that isn’t branded as Warped. The first cigars from Gellis Family Cigars began shipping to stores last month: Marevas, which is debuting in a single 5 1/8 x 43 size. The company declined to talk blend details to halfwheel, though DROP Cigar Club—a retail store and membership club operated by Kyle Gellis—lists the blend as a habano 2000 rosada wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and fillers from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua.
Marevas has an MSRP of $11 per cigar and is sold in boxes of 25. It is a regular production item.

Blog post of review: https://tinytimblog.blogspot.com/2024/05/rojas-street-tacos-cinco-de-mayo-6-x-50.html
(Description taken from Halfwheel.com website)
Rojas Cigars has released a new addition to the company’s Street Tacos line made to commemorate the popular Mexican holiday of Cinco de Mayo.
The Rojas Street Tacos Cinco de Mayo is a 6 x 50 toro made up of an Ecuadorian habano wrapper covering a Mexican San Andrés binder and a filler blend of tobaccos from Nicaragua and the U.S. Each cigar will have an MSRP of $12 and they will be packaged in 20-count boxes with a total production of only 35,000 cigars.
According to Noel Rojas, founder of Rojas Cigars, this is the first in an annual series that will be released to commemorate the Cinco de Mayo holiday, though the plan is to change the blend for each year. The cigars are being made at the Rojas Cigar Factory in Nicaragua.
Rojas debuted the Street Tacos line in March 2021, and a number of variations have been added since then, including Street Tacos Carnitas and Breakfast Tacos. The blends get their name from a meat preparation that traces its roots to the Caribbean and Mexico, and in particular, sheep and goats cooked over an open fire or via an in-ground oven.
This is not the first time that Rojas has released a cigar to celebrate the Cinco de Mayo holiday: the company teamed up with United Cigars to release the Elote Firecracker last year.

Blog post of review: https://tinytimblog.blogspot.com/2024/05/viaje-birthday-blend-2024-6-x-52.html
(Description taken from Halfwheel.com website)
It’s once again time for Viaje to celebrate company founder Andre Farkas’ birthday, and the company is doing it with a new Collector’s Edition version of its Birthday Blend line.
The Collector’s Edition designation, which has been used on several of Viaje’s releases, designates a cigar as a one-and-done release and indicates that there have been some changes made to the usual details of a cigar. In this case, the company has said that it has modified the blend and shape “ever so slightly to give it a special take on what has become an annual favorite.”
While the company has not yet replied to an e-mail asking about what those tweaks are, it did reply to a question on its Instagram post about the cigars being maduros with a simple “yes.” The company has previously released versions of the Birthday Blend using a Mexican San Andrés maduro wrapper.

Blog post of review: https://tinytimblog.blogspot.com/2024/05/diesel-vintage-series-natural-robusto.html
(Description provided by Forged Cigar Co.)
Diesel Vintage Series is expanding to include a new blend called Diesel Vintage Series Natural. The five-cigar collection debuted in March, 2024.
Diesel Vintage Series Natural compliments Diesel Vintage Series, the Maduro-wrapped line that launched last year. Both blends were made to deliver the luxury of premium, aged tobaccos at an accessible price.
Handcrafted at Tabacalera AJ Fernandez in Estelí, Nicaragua and developed in collaboration between AJ Fernandez and Justin Andrews, Diesel Vintage Series Natural is a Nicaraguan-forward smoke with deeply-aged filler tobaccos.
Justin Andrews said, “For Diesel Series Natural, AJ and I took the opportunity to highlight the aged tobacco in the blend. We introduced a natural wrapper to deliver a transformative effect on the blend and make the aging of the filler more pronounced. The result is a cigar that not only delivers the signature, bold experience that Diesel is known for, but also introduces layers of rich and satisfying complexity.”
Made with an Ecuadorian wrapper, a Nicaraguan Habano binder from Esteli and a range of Nicaraguan Jalapa filler tobaccos aged from five to seven years, the cigar begins with creamy notes that transition to earthiness as the cigar progresses. A characteristic Nicaraguan spice and cedar undertone is found throughout.
Vitolas:
Diesel Vintage Series Natural Pico Gordo (4.5” x 60); SRP per cigar $8.79
Diesel Vintage Series Natural Robusto Gordo (5” x 56); SRP per cigar $7.79 REVIEWED TODAY
Diesel Vintage Series Natural Toro (6” x 52); SRP per cigar $7.99
Diesel Vintage Series Natural Double Corona (7.75” x 49); SRP per cigar $8.79

(Description provided by Black Label Trading Co.)
Black Label Trading Co (BLTC) has released ORTHODOX. Hand crafted at Fabrica Oveja Negra in Esteli, Nicaragua.
"Orthodox is really about Black Label getting back to its roots. We’ve done a lot over the last 10 years but at our core we are about highlighting the strength & intensity of Nicaraguan tobacco. That’s what I went for with the Orthodox. It’s extremely bold with spice throughout the palate and nose. Its intensity is balanced by flavors of dark fruits, cherries, raisins and finishes with star anise. This cigar is bold but very balanced and extremely complex,” says James Brown, creator of Black Label Trading Co./Black Works Studio and partner at Fabrica Oveja Negra.

Blog post of review: https://tinytimblog.blogspot.com/2024/04/los-statos-deluxe-limited-edition.html
(Description provided by STG’s Forged Cigar Company)
Los Statos Deluxe Limited Edition, a masterful collaboration created by Matt Booth, Justin Andrews and William Ventura will ship to retailers on March 1. A total of 3,000 boxes have been produced and the blend will be retired after its release.
The trio of cigar virtuosos embarked on a quest for perfection when developing the blend, each bringing a unique sensibility to the creative process. The cigar speaks to their collective ability to weave an intriguing blend through a fabric of diverse nuances.
Matt Booth noted, “This blend is sophisticated in nature. It is medium to medium-plus in body, yet full in flavor transition throughout the entire smoke. With so much complexity, there’s only one downside to the cigar and it’s that it literally goes by too fast, leaving you to wish the experience lasted longer.”
Booth, Andrews and Ventura selected Connecticut-grown Broadleaf, Pennsylvania Broadleaf and Corojo 98 from Nicaragua as the foundation of the cigar, chose an Ecuadorian Sumatra binder, and crowned the blend with a lustrous Mexican San Andrés wrapper. With a spellbinding aroma, rich floral notes balanced by white pepper and cocoa, a solid retrohale and clean finish, the cigar opens the palate to infinite pairings.
Reflective of the rarefied nature of the blend, the packaging has main character energy, drawing the eye to a double outer wrapping. Black and gold branding is artistically presented, commanding attention and demanding reverence for this special release.
Los Statos Deluxe Limited Edition is handcrafted in the Dominican Republic at the William Ventura Cigar Factory.
Los Statos Deluxe Limited Edition Figurado (5.5” x 50); SRP per cigar $16.99

Blog post of review: https://tinytimblog.blogspot.com/2024/04/domain-negentropy-toro-6-x-50.html
(Description taken from Halfwheel.com website)
Domain Cigars, a new company founded by Esteban Disla and Daniel Lance, has begun shipping its two debut lines, Neutron and Negentropy.
Today we look at Negentropy.
Negentropy uses an Ecuadorian habano wrapper, a double binder of Nicaraguan tobacco, and filler from Nicaragua’s Condega region. The company says that this blend is “fused with high energy, that culminates in a clean finish while delivering impactful intensity.” The name of the line references reverse entropy, or the process of things becoming more orderly.
There are plenty of sizes to choose from, as they are being offered in the same nine sizes:
Revlent (4 x 52) — $9.99 (Box of 20, $199.80)
Robusto Extra (5 x 52) — $11.49 (Box of 20, $229.80)
Toro (6 x 50) — $11.49 (Box of 20, $229.80) REVIEWED TODAY
Robusto Gordo (5 x 56) — $11.99 (Box of 20, $239.80)
Box Press Toro Gordo (6 x 56) — $12.49 (Box of 20, $249.80)
Box Press Correlation (5 x 56) — $12.49 (Box of 20, $249.80)
Box Press Neural Plasticity (4 1/2 x 60) — $12.49 (Box of 20, $249.80)
Belicoso Shaggy His Excellency (5 x 54) — $13.99 (Box of 20, $279.80)
Simulation (6 x 60) — $14.49 (Box of 20, $289.80)
Both cigars are produced at Tabacalera Familia Disla S.A. in Estelí, Nicaragua.

Blog post of review: https://tinytimblog.blogspot.com/2024/04/room101-hit-run-redux-robusto-5-x-50.html
(Description provided by Forged Cigar Co.)
The redux of Room101 Hit & Run Redux new blend is created by the dynamic duo of Matt Booth and Robert Caldwell.
Matt Booth said, “I’m thrilled to bring another Room101 sub-brand back to life with this expression of Hit & Run. The brand was born of a collaborative seed between myself and Robert Caldwell. It’s about our creative process as much as it is about two-like minded psychopaths who’ve stuck together over the years. This cigar is the physical and combustible manifestation of an intergalactic connection which proves that an authentic friend and a good cigar can help more than you may imagine.”
The blend is made with a Mexican San Andres wrapper, an Ecuadorian Sumatra binder and a blend of Nicaraguan C-98 and Pennsylvania filler with an added layer of Nicaraguan leaf. Matt Booth describes the experience as being “sophisticated with depth and transition,” and notes that it “blends power with balance.” He says Hit & Run “pairs well with your favorite memory of the DMV.”
The line is crafted at William Ventura in Tamboril, DR, where four frontmarks have been made:
Available vitolas:
Robusto (5” x 50); SRP per cigar $12.99 (REVIEWED TODAY)
Toro (6” x 50); SPR per cigar $13.29
Gordo (6” x 60); SPR per cigar $14.39
Perfecto (5.12 x 60); SRP per cigar $16.99
The Robusto, Toro and Gordo come in 20-count boxes, while the Perfecto comes in a ten-count box. All Room101 Hit & Run packaging features colorful Room101 branding.
Room101 is distributed by Forged Cigar Company.

(Description provided by Alec Bradley)
Alec Bradley Filthy Hooligan and Filthy Hooligan Shamrock are now available, marking the twelfth and sixth release of the annual, limited edition take on the brand’s popular Black Market blend, respectively.
For 2024, 5,000 boxes of each blend will be released.
Bradley Rubin, brand ambassador for Alec Bradley cigars said, “Anticipation continues to build each year for the release of Filthy Hooligan and Filthy Hooligan Shamrock. With their bright green wrappers and fresh herbal notes, these candela smokes offer a great change of pace at a time when spring’s on everyone’s mind. The blends have become part of the cigar community’s annual ritual and we’re pleased that we have once again been able to source the perfect aged candela wrapper to make this year’s release a reality.”
Filthy Hooligan and Filthy Hooligan Shamrock are based on the popular Alec Bradley Black Market blend which has been tweaked to complement the multiple wrapper format.

(Description taken from Cigar-coop.com website)
At the 2024 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show, Oveja Negra Brands introduced the Black Works Studio Paper Crane. Paper Crane is a small batch release produced out of Fabrica Oveja Negra in Estelí, Nicaragua. Plans are for Paper Crane to ship to retailers by the end of the month.
The Black Works Studio Paper Crane is highlighted by a Connecticut Florado wrapper. The remainder of the blend consists of an Ecuadorian Habano binder and fillers from Nicaragua. The line is offered in a Corona Gorda box-press and Toro box-press. Each size is packaged in 20-count boxes. Pricing is set to $11.00 and $12.00 MSRP for the Corona Gorda and Toro, respectively.
“The Paper Crane is a project I’ve been thinking about for several years. I’ve always wanted to do something with Connecticut Florado wrapper. I love the flavor profile of this wrapper and of course its unique beautiful golden pink color. This cigar is extremely complex with a beautiful balance of light citrus notes on the palette, followed by delicate layers of spice on the retrohale and finish. It was these flavors that inspired the name and the artwork I created. Even though there are a lot of subtleties, it is still a full flavor medium strength cigar that lives up to what you expect from a BLK WKS cigar,” says James Brown, creator of Black Works Studio and partner at Fabrica Oveja Negra.

Blog post of review: https://tinytimblog.blogspot.com/2024/04/te-amo-toro-6-x-52.html
(Description taken from Cigar-coop.com website)
Once dubbed the “Cab Driver’s Cigar,” this new Te Amo is branded “The Original San Andrés Valley Cigar”. Altadis U.S.A. will be working with the Turrent family to produce this cigar. The Turrents not only produce the cigar but are also the leading grower of tobacco in Mexico. Altadis U.S.A. says Alejandro Turrent will be supporting them in an event series this spring.
The Te Amo is a Mexican puro featuring a Mexican San Andres wrapper over Mexican binder and filler tobaccos. Te Amo is being offered in three sizes, each packaged in 20-count boxes. The sizes include Robusto (54 x 5, SRP $10.39/cigar), Toro (52 x 6, SRP $11.22/cigar), and Magnum (60 x 6, $12.71/cigar). The brand also has received all-new packaging.
Altadis U.S.A. says Te Amo will be a regular production cigar.
Altadis sent me one sample to try so this will be my initial thoughts. An "on the spot" review, if you will.

Protocol Cigars has announced the long-awaited fourth installment to its Lawman Series, Protocol Phoebe Couzins.
Keeping with the tradition of the three prior installments, there are both Natural and Maduro offerings for Protocol Phoebe Couzins.
The Lawman Series pays homage to prominent figures in law enforcement history. The series is meant to deliver a premium offering in terms of blend and packaging.
Phoebe Couzins was born in St. Louis, Missouri. She became the first woman in United States history to graduate from a law school. Later, she would become one of the first female lawyers in the United States. In 1887, Phoebe Couzins became the first female U.S. Marshal in the country. Couzins was also a women’s rights activist; she was a member of the St. Louis Woman Suffrage Association, where she drew attention as a public speaker. Protocol honors women in law and law enforcement pioneer Couzins with this cigar during Women’s History Month.
The Phoebe Couzins Natural features an Ecuadorian Sumatra Rosado wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and all Nicaraguan fillers.
AJ Fernandez produces the cigars at the San Lotano Factory in Ocotal, Nicaragua. As with previous Lawman Series releases, the cigars are 6 x 52 box-pressed cigars in ten-count boxes. Each cigar is priced at $12.55 SRP.
“I am excited to see these cigars finally get released, I love the way both of these blends came together and are a nice addition to the Lawmen Series,” added Hector Alfonso Sr., Espinosa’s Blender and Director of Operations
Cubariqueño Cigar Company Founder Juan Cancel closed, “Like the Bass Reeves, we are proud to feature Phoebe Couzins as the newest addition to the Lawmen Series. It truly shows the diversity of law enforcement as a whole. Men and women from all races and ethnicities come together to serve the public at large.”

Blog post of review: https://tinytimblog.blogspot.com/2024/03/warped-cigars-el-oso-10th-anniversary.html
(Description taken from Halfwheel.com website)
It’s been 10 years since Warped Cigars launched its El Oso line, and in mid-February the company began sending out a new limited edition to celebrate that anniversary.
The El Oso 10th Anniversary is a 6 x 50 toro that the company is calling the Grand Papa, and it comes with a different blend than the original El Oso. This new cigar uses an Ecuadorian habano oscuro wrapper, while the binder comes from Nicaragua instead of the Ecuadorian leaf found on the original blend. Underneath those leaves are a mix of Dominican and Nicaraguan fillers. The cigars are made at El Titan de Bronze in Miami and began shipping to retailers this past Monday.
Production is being limited to 1,500 boxes of 10 cigars, which come with an MSRP of $25 per cigar and $250 per box. The cigars were reportedly made by just one person at the factory, who has a daily production of about 100 cigars, meaning it took approximately 150 days, or six months, to produce the release.

Blog post of review: https://tinytimblog.blogspot.com/2024/03/powstanie-connecticut-corona-gorda.html
(Description provided by Powstanie Cigars)
Powstanie Cigars, a premium cigar brand created by the Szczepankiewicz brothers, is proud to announce the release of a new size for its Connecticut blend: the Corona Gorda. The new vitola, named "Justice", is a tribute to the middle child of Mike Szczepankiewicz, the co-owner and master blender of Powstanie Cigars.
The cigar was originally blended over 9 years ago for the birth of his son. At that time, there were only 100 cigars made. The original band said “ApolloDani” in blue and pink. Fast forward 9 years later and the entire Connecticut core line for Powstanie was created solely off that blend.
“When working with a factory, I highly recommend you work with a factory that actually keeps records of your blends from close to a decade ago and can recreate that blend to a T.” said Mike Szczepankiewicz co owner and harder-working brother of Powstanie Cigars.
The Powstanie Connecticut Corona Gorda "Justice" measures 5 1/2 x 46 and features an Ecuadorian Connecticut shade wrapper over a Pennsylvania broadleaf binder and aged Nicaraguan fillers. The cigar is handcrafted at the Fábrica de Tabacos Nica Sueño S.A. factory in Nicaragua, the same factory that produces the acclaimed RoMa Craft brand.
The Powstanie Connecticut Corona Gorda "Justice" will be available in boxes of 21 cigars, with a suggested retail price of $13.50 per cigar. The cigars will be released first at Boll Wevil Cigars in Enterprise Alabama on April 6th and then shipped nationwide shortly thereafter.

Blog post of review: https://tinytimblog.blogspot.com/2024/03/julius-caeser-toro-by-jc-newman-6-x-52.html
(Description taken from JC Newman website)
Born in 1875 in a small Hungarian village, Julius Newman and his family sailed across the Atlantic in 1888 in search of the American Dream. With no middle name, Julius was required to choose one before workers could complete his entry paperwork. Stumped, he solicited help from the immigration officer who suggested Caesar, after the great Roman. Julius relished in the thought of being named after a historic leader and conqueror but due to a typo by the attendant – Caeser was spelled with an “e”. Thus Julius Caeser (J.C.) Newman, American citizen, was born.
Unlike his brothers who became tailors, J.C. had a yearning to make cigars. So, his mother paid an experienced cigar maker $3.00 a month to teach her young son the art of hand cigar rolling. Little did J.C. know that day in May 1895, when he started his company and hand-rolled his first 500 cigars for the family grocer, that he was establishing a family legacy that would be flourishing four generations later. In fact, of the 42,000 cigar manufacturers licensed in 1895, J.C. Newman Cigar Company is the only premium cigar maker that is still owned and operated by the founding family.
In 2010, to celebrate J.C.’s 135th birthday and our company’s 115th anniversary, Diamond Crown Julius Caeser was released. Diamond Crown Julius Caeser cigars are meticulously rolled by hand in small batches by Tabacalera A. Fuente in the Dominican Republic. As with all Diamond Crown cigars, Julius Caeser is held to the highest standard of quality control.

Blog post of review: https://tinytimblog.blogspot.com/2024/03/don-doroteo-salt-of-earth-piedra-viva-5.html
(Description provided by Don Doroteo Cigars)
Don Doroteo Cigars announces that the “Salt of the Earth” line of cigars is now shipping to retailers across the United States. The Salt of the Earth line boasts two blends, the Piedra Viva and the Piedra Angular. The Salt of the Earth blends proudly represent Dominican tobacco culture via the use of andullo. Both blends were showcased at the 2023 PCA in Last Vegas this past July.
Juan Lugo, co-founder of Don Doroteo Cigars comes from a four-generation tobacco growing family. His mentor, his grandfather, Doroteo Fermin Delgado farmed tobacco in the D.R. His grandfather is described by Lugo as the very definition of a salt of the earth person. A hardworking and honest family man who dedi cated his life to tobacco.
Juan Lugo said: “My grandfather and my Dominican roots are the inspiration for the Salt of the Earth line, which is why we used andullo in both blends. Andullo is distinctly Dominican and has been smoked as pipe tobacco by the Taino Indians on the island 500 years ago.”
The Salt of the Earth Piedra Viva is a very complex blend which features an Ecuadorian Cameroon wrapper, which houses Nicaraguan binder and a mix of Dominican andullo, corojo, criollo ’98 and Nicaraguan condega ligero and viso condego. This complex blend offers up rich notes of cedar, caramel, and mild salt. The andullo adds strength and earthy sweetness.
Toro (5 3/4 x 54) — $16.75 (Box of 10, $167.50) available in boxes of 10.

Blog post of review: https://tinytimblog.blogspot.com/2024/03/punch-dragon-fire-5-x-60.html
(Description provided by STG)
2024 will be the first Year of the Dragon since 2012 and Punch will mark the momentous moment in the Chinese zodiac on February 1, 2024 when a limited-edition smoke called Dragon Fire ships to retailers.
The new release marks the sixth installment of the brand’s highly successful Chinese New Year Series which has included these highly-rated Punch blends: Spring Roll (2023), Fu Manchu (2022), Kung Pow! (2021), Chop Suey (2020) and Egg Roll (2019).
John Hakim, brand manager of Punch said, “The dragon is the only mythological figure in the Chinese zodiac and that inspired us to bring the fire-breathing totem to life with this year’s release. We had a blast creating the bold and fiery blend, and gave the cigar a flat head in a nod to the wood dragon that will preside over 2024. And in a shout out to the celebrations that will be sparked by the dragon’s arrival, we made the packaging to look like a box of fireworks.”
Handcrafted at the STG Esteli factory in Esteli Nicaragua which is a rarity for the brand, Punch Dragon Fire was made to resemble a firecracker. Extending beyond the cigar’s Nicaraguan Condega binder and Nicaraguan, Dominican and Honduran filler is its Mexican wrapper which is pressed down to replicate the way in which the casing of a firework extends beyond the plug inside. The tobaccos come together to create a smoking experience that brims with the complexity of dark chocolate, pepper, earth, leather and coffee notes.
Punch Dragon Fire cigars come in 20-count boxes and the blend will only be available in this special release.
