I have always loved mobiles. The way they effortlessly dangle and spin is so mesmerizing. A dear childhood friend just had a beautiful baby girl! I knew I had to make her a hanging mobile. I absolutely hated how hair and dust were always getting caught on the bottom of my chairs! I needed a solution, and after doing some research I found out that leather does not attract hair, so I thought... "why not make furniture pads out of leather!?" and that is exactly what I did! I was in need of some lighting on either side of my bed. Having a low platform-style bed (made from recycled palettes) I wanted an option that did not clutter around my bed and something that would carry the eye up. Hanging pendants were the way to go! These lights look beautiful, were very easy to make and do the trick without having to hardwire any electrical. I love the simplicity and the natural texture of the white ceramic pots. The gold hardware adds an element of elegance.
