Genesis of a storm

This is a standard FedEx delivery - and FedEx doesn't care. Imagine it is a package of yours that you shipped FedEx and you have to take it back, that you have to replace it - and most of all - you ship FedEx a 2nd time and pay a second fee. There goes your profit margin and your company's reputation, all because you wanted to save a bit of money and use FedEx

Never happened before, then twice in one night. The first one, I'm pretty sure he lives around here and I will nail down his info. The second one, I believe it was someone who thought the cul-de-sac was a through street (how dumb can you get?) In both cases, to be nuanced, it was deliberate, but not intentional; a premeditated act. But this business of thinking a dead-end street is a through street has to end

Stopping to smell the flowers

Last year, we had a coyote running around the neighborhood chasing chickens that had gotten loose from somewhere nearby. I contacted the city, county and state to trap out the coyote but everyone kept passing the buck. Now there are three this year and one is injured which would make them dangerous

1 hour time lapse of a storm

I appreciate it when the collection driver leaves the bin back at the curb and not out in the street. But where the bin started would be nice, not halfway to the next house :)

Season's greetings

The rain part is cool. It reminds me of the film versions of HG Wells “Time Machine”

By my reckoning, this storm and lightning was 30 miles due west, in the vicinity of Buckeye, AZ. You don't want to get caught outside there when there is a big storm. Lots of open desert, washes and gullies

The rain lasted all of 5 minutes, but a few miles north it was causing flooding of the washes. The shift in highlights is very interesting. AZ, the only place it rains with a clear sky :)

Not everything is gloom and doom. Sometimes it is just a wayward bird before a storm stopping for some fast food

Amazon package delivery

This is a 360 degree sweep of the sky after a rain storm. The camera will sweep continuously. It can also do 360's with pre-programmed stops of per-determined duration. Overall speed of the sweep can be set from very slow to very fast. That is using the standard software that comes with the camera. Using Security Spy software, the camera can be set to sweep just a section of the arc with complete speed control and time-of-stop at end of arc and/or any point along the arc
