Gasull, winner of three Goya Awards for Best Animated Film for “Tad: The Lost Explorer”, “Capture the Flag” and “Tad, the Lost Explorer, and the Secret of King Midas”, is also the film's producer. Pedro Solis, writer/director of the Goya Award winning animated short film “Strings”, is also behind the film as head of Core Animation Studio. The film’s music is composed by Goya Award winner Fernando Velazquez, who has frequently collaborated with acclaimed Spanish director, J.A. Bayona. The sound definitely might make people around you cringe, but what's making those noises, and is it actually bad for you? There's a space in your joints filled with synovial fluid, a liquid that reduces the friction in your joints when you move. It contains gases (oxygen, nitrogen, and carbon dioxide). When you pop a joint, you stretch out that space between the bones. That expanding space creates negative pressure, like a vacuum, that sucks in the synovial fluid. It forms bubbles, which then collapse, and that's what you hear. Most medical sources agree that unless you experience pain when you pop your joints, you're probably fine to keep doing it. Researchers (including one man who cracked his knuckles on just one hand for 60 years) haven't established a connection between cracking your knuckles and arthritis. One 1990 study of 300 people did find that cracking knuckles over a long period of time led to hand swelling and decreased grip strength, but there hasn't been any follow-up research on that. As I was doing some research, I became more and more aware that beautiful faces and fashion we see on the photos, ads and fashion plates are just an idealistic version of reality. So here's to reality. NOTES: It was hard for me to make this video universal and find some papers referring to the whole Europe or even the whole world, so the numbers I used may be a little misleading. To make it clear: - 40% of women in factories (1901) refers to Great Britain only - one out of nine women working in domestic service refers to Russia. If you know any other specific numbers referring to a wider cultural context I'd be more than greatful.
