What's the difference between guilt and conviction? Well, guilt is the demonic counterfeit of conviction, which does not lead to repentance. Moreover, it actually drives people away from God. Most believers already understand the reason that those who seem to have it all, you know, the fame, the riches, the accolades and so on, and are still miserable and still empty is because they're trying to fill a God-sized hole with the things of this world. Love covers a multitude of sins. And those who conceal a matter, in other words, when someone hurts them and they keep it to themselves, they are actually seeking love. On the other hand, those who go and tell everybody about what someone had done to them, actually cause division -even amongst the best of friends or family members. The purpose of speaking the truth in love is to benefit the recipient of what's being said. Now if a person has a critical spirit, they will have a tendency to look for faults in other people. And generally they find them. And the question is, how does that affect the relationship, and what does that have to do with truth?
