NLAW - Game changer against tanks -portability and fire power needed to stop tanks in their tracks.
Game changer against tanks !!!!
The NLAW is a light shoulder-fired weapon with excellent portability that allows the operator to also carry a rifle. The launcher weighs around 27.5 pounds and is easy to fire. It shoots a surprisingly powerful 150mm high-explosive anti-tank missile. The NLAW can take out a tank or vehicle between 20 and 400 meters for moving targets, and up to 800 meters for stationary vehicles.
The Next Generation Light Antitank Weapon (NLAW) was provided by the British before the war in January. The Ukrainians are setting up counter-attacks and ambushes in the suburbs of Kyiv on Russian armored columns using the NLAW. The NLAW system is proving its mettle. Since the NLAWs came over before the war started, they were able to be distributed widely to soldiers, and the Ukrainians are taking the initiative to blast Russian armor.
Ukrainian troops say British NLAW missiles are "game changers" to train to fight Russian troops and warn "crazy" Putin "we kill for hometown"
With tanks playing an increasingly decisive role in complex battle environments, defending forces need an effective anti-tank weapon. Saab’s NLAW system has the portability and fire power needed to stop tanks in their tracks.
The role of main battle tanks (MBTs) in armed conflicts is rapidly evolving.Where tanks once tended to be called on to support the advance of the infantry, they are increasingly being used in complex environments like city centres to provide combat support for dismounted troops. At the same time, tank sensors, countermeasures and armaments are becoming increasingly sophisticated, making them formidable combat weapons.
“In conflicts like Syria, we are seeing tanks advance and fire against buildings where the enemy is located,” says Lars-Örjan Hovbrandt, Manager of Technical Sales Support for Ground Combat within Saab Dynamics. “They are destroying whole buildings at a time and providing a way for forces to advance with some protection. If you don’t have an effective anti-tank weapon, then you have to spend a lot of time and energy finding other solutions.”
Another key advantage is that NLAW doesn’t use active target seeking, instead relying on ‘predicted line of sight’ targeting. “If you have an active seeker, the target will detect this and deploy countermeasures,” says Hovbrandt. “But the NLAW system is passive. Optical sensors detect the target and magnetic sensors rule out countermeasures and the missile hits the correct target.”
NLAW offers operators a choice of two firing modes. Direct Attack is best used on soft targets such trucks, buses and helicopters. Overfly Top Attack, on the other hand, involves the missile flying to a metre above a tank’s hatch and unleashing a powerful downwards attack on the most vulnerable part of the MBT.
Yet another useful feature is the ability to select thedistance at which the missile arms itself. “Say you are in complex terrain where a number of vehicles have been hit and you have a burning vehicle 50 metres in front of you and the true target is 150 metres away,” says Hovbrandt. “You just switch over the arm distance to 100 metres. The missile will fly blind over the first target and then start looking for the target.”

Ukrainians seize Russian tanks after regaining the village 60 kilometers east of Kyiv.
Ukraine -- The bodies of two Russian soldiers lie abandoned in the woods. Ukrainian forces piled atop a tank flash victory signs. Dazed people line up amid charred buildings to reach for aid. These are the sights in a Ukrainian town that has seized back control from Russian forces, at least for now.
Arriving in Trostyanets shortly after Ukrainian forces announced the northeastern town near the Russian border had been retaken following weeks of Russian occupation,Monday saw a civilian landscape that has seen some of the worst of war.
The hospital was damaged, its windows jagged with broken glass. The train station had been shot up. Residents stepped carefully, wary of mines. They rode their bicycles past craters in the road and past the ruins of homes. It is not yet clear how many civilians have been killed.
Russian tanks lay burned, twisted, left behind like the soldiers in the woods. One of the soldiers had a red band around his leg. The other had an arm flung over his head as if napping on the leaves in the late afternoon light. A Ukrainian soldier nudged him with his toe.
A red “Z” marked a Russian truck, its windshield fractured, near stacked boxes of ammunition. Hundreds of the boxes, including ones with artillery shells, had been stacked around the town. Curious residents peered into an open box of shells.
It is not clear where the Russian forces went, under what circumstances they fled or whether the town will remain free of them in the days ahead. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in his overnight address emphasized that the situation remains tense in Ukraine’s northeast around Kharkiv, the nearest large city, and other areas.
But the returned presence of Ukrainian forces in Trostyanets is a relief to a country that hopes some Russian forces, under fierce resistance, are pulling back.
A senior U.S. defense official said Washington believes the Ukrainians have retaken Trostyanets. The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss U.S. intelligence assessments, said Russian forces largely remained in defensive positions near the capital, Kyiv, and were making little forward progress elsewhere in the country.
Late last week, with its forces stalled in parts of the country, Russia seemed to scale back its war aims, saying its main goal was gaining control of the Donbas in the east.
In Trostyanets, after weeks of occupation and intense fighting, some residents appeared to have lost all sense of normal.
“Personally, I have not seen much,” said one resident, Vitali Butski. And yet three missiles struck his home. Many buildings beyond the railway station are damaged, he said.
Bundled up against the freezing wind, he and others ventured out to see what had been left behind.
Unexploded ordnance littered the square in front of the train station. Trenches and berms lined the square in a sign that Russian forces tried to defend their position. In a bunker under the station, with thick walls and door, rooms were full of army uniforms and boots.
On the walls were patriotic messages including drawings signed by children in Russian reading “Thanks for the peace, soldier." Another room had been used as a clinic, with unused drips ready and desks turned into beds, although there was no sign of blood.
Packets of Russian food rations were seen amid the debris. But residents indicated that the soldiers were still hungry.
“In the evenings they came to us, to our houses and our basements, and stole our pickles, potatoes, lard and cucumbers,” said one resident who didn’t give her name.
She called the Russians “orcs,” or goblin-like creatures. Militias from the Donetsk and Luhansk regions were there as well, she said. The entire town had been occupied.
Now, for residents, there is some space to breathe. In line for aid, they waved to passing Ukrainian tanks.
“As you can see, there were battles here over the past month. Projectiles were flying over, and people were saying they were frightened,” said Evgeni Kosin with the emergency services. “They were left without food and water. There was a horrible humanitarian situation. Now that there are no flyovers or shelling in the last three days, perhaps it is getting better.”

Jim Carrey: Will Smith should have been arrested over Oscars slap
Jim Carrey: Will Smith should have been arrested over Oscars slap - the “Ace Ventura” star said Smith should be facing more serious consequences for taking to the stage and slapping Rock after the comedian cracked a joke about Smith’s wife.
I’d have announced this morning that I was suing Will for 200 million dollars because that video is going to be there forever. It’s going to be ubiquitous,” Carrey told King. “That insult is gonna last a very long time.”
Smith’s slap heard around the world has divided entertainment and political figures, with some cheering the move and others slamming it as an unnecessary act of violence.
After King made a comment that anyone else who pulled that stunt would have been escorted out of the venue or even arrested, Carrey responded, “He should have been.”
Rock has declined to file charges against Smith, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
“He doesn’t want the hassle,” Carrey said of Rock’s decision. He noted he would have opted for a different approach.
Oscar-winning actor Will Smith released a public apology on Monday after slapping comedian Chris Rock during Sunday night’s Academy Awards.
In a statement posted to his official Instagram and Facebook accounts, Smith condemned his own behavior, calling it “unacceptable and inexcusable.”
Smith made headlines and set social media ablaze after he took to the stage and hit Rock after the comedian made a joke about his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith. Minutes later, the “King Richard” star won the Oscar for best actor.
“I would like to publicly apologize to you, Chris,” Smith wrote, adding that violence of any kind is inexcusable.
“I was out of line and I was wrong. I am embarrassed and my actions were not indicative of the man I want to be. There is no place for violence in a world of love and kindness,” he added.
Smith also apologized to the academy, show producers, attendees, his castmates, television viewers, and the family of tennis stars Venus and Serena Williams, on whom “King Richard” is based.
“I deeply regret that my behavior has stained what has been an otherwise gorgeous journey for all of us,” he wrote.
Reached for further comment, Smith’s publicist pointed to his statement on social media, which is the first time he has apologized to Rock since the altercation. During his acceptance speech Sunday night, Smith apologized for his actions but didn’t address the comedian directly.
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the group that heads up the Oscars, said on Monday it would open a “formal review” into the incident.
Its announcement comes after the Los Angeles Police Department noted earlier Monday that Rock had declined to file a police report.

Russian tank commander run over and killed by his own angry troops -
Russian tank commander run over and killed by his own angry troops
Official says soldiers upset after unit suffers over 50% losses in combat, incident indicative of ‘morale challenges’ faced by army; 7th Russian general reported killed in fighting.
A Russian colonel has been run over and killed by his own troops, apparently angry over the devastating losses the unit suffered in combat, a Western security official said during a briefing to reporters on Friday.
The official said the incident occured in Russia’s 37th Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade that had been fighting outside Kyiv.
The Western confirmation comes after a noted Ukrainian journalist Roman Tsimbalyuk posted a video on Wednesday of the colonel, identified as Yuri Medvedev, being evacuated by Russian soldiers on a stretcher.
Tsimbalyuk said the incident happened after the unit suffered over 50% losses. He reported that Medvedev’s legs were crushed and he was taken to neighboring Belarus for treatment.
He was later reported to have died.We believe he was killed by his own troops deliberately as a consequence of the scale of losses that had been taken by his brigade,” the official said. “That gives an insight into some of the morale challenges that Russian forces are having.”
“They really have found themselves in a hornet’s nest and they’re suffering really badly,” the official said.
he western official also confirmed Ukrainian reports that Lieutenant General Yakov Rezantsev, who commanded the 49th Combined Arms Army had been killed in the fighting.
Rezantsev was the seventh Russian general to be killed in combat since the invasion was launched one month ago.
Among the others said to have been killed is General Magomed Tushaev, of the Chechen Special Forces deployed by Russian President Vladimir Putin in Ukraine.
Meanwhile, Russian Army Commander General Vlaislav Yershov, of the 6th Combined Arms Army, was identified as the general sacked earlier this week by the Kremlin.

Russian Hypersonic Strike: Putin's Kinzhal Attacks Ukraine Weapon Depot; Haunting Images Of Invasion
Russian Hypersonic Strike: Putin's Kinzhal Attacks Ukraine Weapon Depot; Haunting Images Of Invasion
Russia is reported to have struck Ukraine with hypersonic missiles on Sunday for the second time since Friday. As per a report by Interfax, Russia struck Ukraine with cruise missiles from ships in the Black Sea and Caspian Sea.
Russia used the Kinzhal hypersonic missiles for the first time in its war against Ukraine. The Russian defence ministry said it was to destroy a weapons storage site.
The Kinzhal aviation missile system with hypersonic aeroballistic missiles destroyed a large underground warehouse containing missiles and aviation ammunition in the village of Deliatyn in the Ivano-Frankivsk region", the Russian defence ministry said Saturday,
LONDON, March 19 (Reuters) - Russia said on Saturday that it had used hypersonic Kinzhal (Dagger) missiles to destroy a large weapons depot in Ukraine's western Ivano-Frankivsk region.
Russia's Interfax news agency said it was the first time Russia had deployed the hypersonic Kinzhal system since it sent its troops into Ukraine on Feb. 24.
Defence ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov told a briefing that the underground depot hit by the Kinzhal system on Friday housed Ukrainian missiles and aircraft ammunition, according to a recording of the briefing shared by Russian news agencies.
Reuters was not able to independently verify Konashenkov's statements.
The office of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Russia prides itself on its advanced weaponry, and President Vladimir Putin said in December that Russia was the global leader in hypersonic missiles, whose speed, manoeuvrability and altitude make them difficult to track and intercept.
The Kinzhal missiles are part of an array of weapons unveiled in 2018.
Konashenkov added on Saturday that Russian forces had also destroyed military radio and reconnaissance centres near the Ukrainian port city of Odessa using the Bastion coastal missile system.
Moscow refers to its actions in Ukraine as a "special operation" to weaken its southern neighbour's military capabilities and root out people it calls dangerous nationalists.
Ukrainian forces have mounted stiff resistance and Western countries have imposed sweeping sanctions on Russia in an effort to force it to withdraw its forces.
Putin’s army has now launched a horrific attack from ‘Brahmastra’ for the first time on Ukraine, which is causing huge destruction in the Russian army on the strength of killer missiles of NATO countries including America. Russia has announced that it has destroyed a Western weapons warehouse in Ukraine using hypersonic missile Kinzhal. The Kinjal missile that Russia has used in Ukraine is not broken by any country in the world including America. Let’s know everything about this missile …
This is the same missile that Russian President Vladimir Putin had described as an “ideal weapon” some time ago. The missile struck the Ukrainian village of Delyatyn, which is outside the city and is surrounded by mountains. The missile is believed to have been fired from the MiG-31 supersonic fighter jet, which Russia has stationed at the Chkalovsk Naval Base in Kaliningrad. Kaligrad is a Russian city located near the border of Poland and Lithuania, where it also has a large military base.

Javelin Missiles: At least 280 Russian Tanks have been Destroyed with the American Javelin missile.
300 Shots Fired, 280 Russian Tanks Gone: US Missiles In Ukrainian Hands
Javelin missiles in Ukraine: At least 280 Russian armoured vehicles have been destroyed with the American Javelin missile, out of 300 shots fired, according to a report
The Ukrainian military fighting the much larger Russian invasion force has been able to kill hundreds of Russian tanks and armoured vehicles using a hand-held anti-tank missile supplied by the US, according to a US journalist who has been tracking the war in the east European nation.
At least 280 Russian armoured vehicles have been destroyed with the American Javelin missile, out of 300 shots fired, journalist Jack Murphy said in an article quoting a US Special Operations official.
That is a 93 per cent kill rate.
The Javelin, made jointly by Raytheon Missiles and Defence, and Lockheed Martin, follow a flight path that hits targets from the top, where the armour is relatively weaker. Almost every tank armour is thicker on the sides, but the top is known to be weaker, and that is where the Javelin missile strikes.
The Javelin can also be fired in a straight flight path mode, if needed.
"The first shipment of Javelins arrived (in Ukraine) in 2018, the weapons systems along with a training and sustainment block (called the Total Package Approach) totalling somewhere around $75 million," Mr Murphy wrote in the article.
As the Russians learned that Ukraine now had Javelins, their T-72 tanks in Donbas became less aggressive, and pulled further back from the frontlines," he said, quoting the US military official.
A single soldier can carry and operate the Javelin, though more hands would be needed to carry extra launch tubes.
When Russian armoured columns entered urban areas in Ukraine, their tanks became more vulnerable to Javelin hits if they didn't have infantry support. Ukrainian forces equipped with Javelins would hide and move quicker, as they didn't have a chance in a direct tank-versus-tank fight on open ground because of the sheer numbers the Russians have.
However, the numbers of tanks killed by Ukrainian soldiers, with the Javelin or other anti-tank weapons, are difficult to take seriously. Mostly appearing on social media, these numbers are likely to be exaggerated by the Ukrainians and downplayed by the Russians. The usual fog of war makes it even more difficult to ascertain accurate numbers.
Three days after the Russian invasion started in Ukraine, US President Joe Biden had instructed the US State Department to release up to an additional $350 million worth of weapons from US stocks to Ukraine, which had been asking for the anti-tank Javelin and anti-aircraft Stinger missiles.

EXPLAINED - FGM-148 Javelin -THE JAVELIN-Why the Russians Fears The Javelin Anti-Tank Missile.
America’s Javelin FGM-148 is a force multiplier for mounted and dismounted infantry. The Javelin is portable, reusable, and shoulder-fired.
Ukraine war: St Javelin and the missile that has become a symbol of Ukrainian resistance
The U.S.-made FGM-148 Javelin is one of the premier portable anti-tank missile systems in the world. It’s also an expensive piece of kit, with each missile typically costing more than the targets it eliminates.
They are are one of the world’s most effective anti-tank weapons, and have a long range of 2.5km (1.5 miles), which makes them effective in a combat situation.
They also target tanks from above, hitting where the armour is at its weakest.
One of the reasons they are being used in Ukraine is that they are supposed to be relatively easy to learn to use.
The FGM-148 Javelin (AAWS-M) is an American-made portable anti-tank missile system in service since 1996, and continuously upgraded. It replaced the M47 Dragon anti-tank missile in US service.
Images of Ukrainian troops carrying Javelin missile launchers on their shoulders have flashed around the world, making the anti-tank weapon -- capable of piercing the most sophisticated armor, and particularly useful in guerrilla warfare -- a symbol of Ukrainian resistance to Russia's invasion.
According to a senior US official, the Ukrainians have already received some 17,000 anti-tank weapons from various Western countries, including several hundred Javelin launchers, and Washington announced on Saturday new military aid totalling $200 million and including the anti-tank weapon.
Javelin Is the One Anti-Tank Weapon Putin Truly Takes (And Ukraine Keeps Buying): Need to reach out and touch an enemy tank and send it to an early grave? Look no further than the Javelin anti-armor system. This is one of the best anti-tank missiles in the world. The U.S. transferred a large number of Javelin launchers and missiles to Kyiv over the last three years, but will that be enough to stop the Russians from a potential armored invasion of Ukraine?
It works like this. The gunner finds a tank or armored vehicle in day or night with the Command Launch Unit. This sends an infrared picture to the seeker system. There are several imaging modes, including thermal viewing, for a lock on target. Then the missile is clear to launch.
Ukrainian forces have also received thousands of other anti-tank weapons, including British NLAWs, Swedish-made AT4s and Carl-Gustavs, German Panzerfausts and Spanish Instalaza C90s.
From here it gets even more interesting. The first motor puts the munition five to ten yards away from the launcher. Then the main propellant kicks in. The missile flies upward at a steep angle and then can come down directly on the weak part of a tank – the top of the turret. This is what makes the anti-armor capability so great.
Javelin is a fire and forget system, meaning after launch there is no other aiming needed from the operator. This is a great advantage for soldiers and marines. The launcher team can eliminate a tank, then can take cover or scoot to another safe location while the missile is arcing toward its target and sight in yet another blast. This means the enemy has no idea where the missile is coming from. The Javelin can also be mounted on an infantry fighting vehicle.
A loaded Javelin launcher weighs only 49 pounds. It has a top range of 2.5 miles. The Javelin was used at least 5,000 times during the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

ONBOARD The World's Biggest Cruise Ship, Wonder Of The Seas ! Royal Caribbean's Wonder of the Seas
The 236,857 gross tonnes mega-liner, which accommodates up to 6988 guests and 2300 crew members, measures 362 metres long and 64 metres wide, and features everything from an ice skating rink to a network of 19 swimming pools.
Wonder of the Seas is the fifth and latest ship in Royal Caribbean's Oasis-class fleet, considered the world's largest passenger ships, and it joins fellow floating giants Harmony, Allure, Symphony, and Oasis of the Seas.
The vessel took three years to build, and was originally slated for a 2021 launch, but faced construction delays due to COVID-19.
The cruise line also abandoned early plans to launch its newest vessel from China, switching its home base to Florida to focus on US and European markets.
Wonder of the Seas features eight themed "neighbourhoods", in a first for the cruise line.
Among the different zones guests can explore is an exclusive Suite Neighbourhood and a Central Park Neighbourhood featuring 20,000 real plants.
The world's biggest cruise ship has finally started sailing, setting off on its maiden voyage on Friday.
Royal Caribbean's Wonder of the Seas will operate seven-night cruises around the Caribbean from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, through to April, before embarking on sailings to Spain and Italy for summerThe Suite Neighbourhood is only available to Royal Suite Class guests, and includes a private sun deck, plunge pool, bar, lounge and restaurant.
The ship also features 20 restaurants, bars and lounges, the tallest slide at sea, rock-climbing facilities, a surf simulator and a 10-storey-high zip line.
Wonder of the Seas' entertainment line-up utilises multiple "stages", from an ice rink to an aqua theatre showcasing high-diving feats and aerial acrobatics.
Wonder of the Seas officially snatches the "world's biggest" title away from its sister ship, Symphony of the Seas, who held the record for four years.
Royal Caribbean has incrementally increased the size or gross tonnage of its Oasis-class ships with each new launch, in order to maintain its grip on the world's biggest cruise ship title.
Wonder of the Seas will only have until 2024 to flaunt its world's biggest moniker, with construction on a new Oasis-class ship underway.
It's not the only ship vying to be the biggest, with Genting Hong Kong's unfinished mega-liner Global Dream also poised to pinch the record title from Wonder of the Seas.
A series of setbacks have plagued the ship since the pandemic began; it currently sits unfinished in a German shipyard following parent company Genting HK filing for bankruptcy on January 19.
Potential buyers are currently lining up to purchase the liner, according to the insolvency administrator, with the ship reportedly costing $US1.8 billion ($2.4 billion) to build.

OVER 1000 RUSSIAN SOLDIERS CAPTURED IN MARIUPOL-Ukraine has taken 1000 of Putin's soldiers prisoner
Ukraine has taken 1,000 of Putin's soldiers prisoner, President Zelensky reveals - as Russian captives plead 'we didn't want to go to war' and are made to say 'Putin is a d**khead' after surrendering.
Zelensky declared around 1,000 Russian POWs have been captured in Mariupol alone
He made the revelation during a conversation with ICC prosecutor Karim Khan
It comes as footage emerged of six Russian soldiers who surrendered in Sribne
They were a reconnaissance team based in the southern part of Chernihiv oblast
Several of the soldiers declared 'Putin is a d**khead' in front of their captors
They also asked Ukrainians for forgiveness and said they didn't want to go to war
Ukraine's army has released a variety of videos showing Russian prisoners of war
The soldiers typically appear to have been treated well and many are allowed to call their families, provided they explain they are part of an invasion force
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky today revealed that Ukraine has captured almost 1,000 Russian prisoners.
Zelensky made the declaration during a conference call with International Criminal Court prosecutor Karim Khan, one of the world's leading authorities on international human rights law who earlier this month opened an investigation into the war in Ukraine.
he Ukrainian leader told Khan: 'We have already almost 1,000 prisoners and their video testimonies,' before adding that he is looking forward to working with the ICC to ensure that 'those who invaded our territory for nothing are punished'.
Zelensky's revelation comes as footage emerged of a group six Russian soldiers calling President Vladimir Putin a 'd**khead' on the orders of their Ukrainian captors and declaring they did not want to go to war after surrendering south of Chernihiv.
The group, lead by Major Viktor Blyudin, was a reconnaissance team located in the forest near to the town of Sribne in the southern part of Chernihiv oblast.
They surrendered on March 21 to civilians in Sribne after learning that a neighbouring Russian cohort was killed, according to Sribnyanshchyna newspaper which posted a video of the soldiers on Facebook.
In the video, several of the soldiers can be heard repeating after their Ukrainian captors: 'Putin is a d**khead', before asking the people of Ukraine for forgiveness and telling their family and friends that they are being treated well.
Russian forces have already incurred heavy losses as their invasion nears its third week, with the Ukrainian army and territorial defence forces putting up a bitter fight to repel the invaders.
One soldier, wearing hooded fatigues and a black hat, said: I really love [my wife] and I hope that she will forgive me for coming here,' before labelling Putin and the Russian government as 'scumbags.'
Another, who gave his name as Anton Nikulkov, told his family and kids: 'Don't worry, I'm fine, everything's going to be okay.'
'Putin is a d**head,' he said, and the Ukrainian cameraman told him to repeat it louder.
'Putin is a d**khead!,' the soldier exclaimed, before repeating after the Ukrainian cameraman: 'Glory to Ukraine. Death to Russia.'

WORST ROAD RAGE -What is the worst road rage incident you've had or witnessed?
Aggressive driving can take many forms, like tailgating, weaving and speeding. It happens a lot: One survey found that nearly 80 percent of drivers expressed significant anger or aggression behind the wheel at least once over the course of the prior year. The consequences can be serious: Aggressive driving played a role in 56 percent of fatal crashes over a five-year period, according to one analysis.
Here’s what to know about road rage, including tips on staying calm and what to do when confronted with an aggressive driver.
Here are some common factors that often contribute to road rage incidents or aggressive driving behavior.
Traffic delays
Heavy traffic, sitting at stoplights, looking for a parking space or even waiting for passengers can increase a driver’s anger level.
Running late
Running behind for a meeting or appointment can cause drivers to be impatient.
Anonymity
If drivers feel that they probably won’t see other drivers again, they may feel more comfortable engaging in risky driving behaviors like tailgating, cutting people off, excessive honking or making rude gestures.
Disregard for others and the law
Some drivers may think the rules don’t apply to them.
Habitual or learned behavior
For some drivers, aggressive driving may be the norm.
Most Common Forms Of Road Rage
Tailgating
Yelling
Honking in anger
Making angry gestures
Trying to block another vehicle from changing lanes
Cutting off another vehicle on purpose
Getting out of the vehicle to confront another driver
Bumping or ramming another vehicle on purpose
How to Avoid Road Rage
Make sure you have the right car insurance policy to protect yourself from aggressive drivers or if you find yourself the victim of a road rage incident.
Before You Get Behind The Wheel
Don’t rush. Give yourself time to get where you’re going; you’re less likely to become impatient and take unnecessary risks.
Cool off. If you’re upset, take time to calm down.
What To Remember When Driving
Give other drivers a break. If someone is driving slowly, keep in mind they might be lost.
Use hand gestures wisely. Keep gestures positive—say, waving to a driver who lets you in when merging.
Don’t tailgate. Always keep a safe distance from the car in front, no matter how slowly they might be driving.
Lay off the horn. Honking out of frustration won’t solve any problems; it will just increase the stress level for everyone on the road.
Don’t stop to confront another driver. Stopping could lead to a dangerous situation for everyone.
If Another Driver Acts Aggressively
Stay away. Safely change lanes, gradually slow down or even exit the highway to keep a safe distance from the aggressive driver.
Don’t reciprocate. Ignore the temptation to respond to the other driver; it could cause the situation to escalate. Don’t make eye contact.
Don’t stop. Stopping could lead to a person-to-person confrontation, which could be dangerous.
Watch your back. If you’re worried that the other driver is following you, keep your doors locked and drive to the nearest police station

The Magical Use of Eggs For Weight Loss -to help you lose weight quickly without losing muscle mass.
The egg diet is a weight loss program that requires you to build at least one meal each day around the traditional breakfast staple, the chicken egg. It is a low-calorie, low-carbohydrate, high-protein plan designed to help you lose weight quickly without losing muscle mass.
There are different versions of the egg diet, including an egg-only diet or a boiled egg diet. In all variations of the plan, you'll eat three meals a day with no snacks and drink only water or zero-calorie beverages. More flexible forms of the egg diet include foods like grilled chicken, fish, and steamed veggies but eliminate starchy foods and sugar.
Since there is no one standard egg diet, what you eat will depend on the type you follow. In general, you can expect to eat many eggs, other lean proteins, vegetables, and some fruit. All versions of the egg diet require you to eat primarily egg-based meals. Besides the obvious, eggs, here are some examples of foods you might eat on various egg diets:
Lean Protein
Chicken
Fish
Sirloin steak
Is the Egg Diet a Healthy Choice for You?
Eggs are an excellent source of complete protein. They provide several beneficial vitamins and minerals, including choline and vitamin A.2 Compared to expensive diets that require special powders and supplements, the egg diet is a whole-food approach to weight loss. However, depending on how strictly you follow it, the egg diet is missing essential nutrients, like fiber.
Current dietary guidelines set forth by the U.S. Department of Agriculture include recommendations and tips for a healthy, balanced diet. The following nutrient-dense foods are recommended as part of a healthy diet:1
Beans and legumes (all beans, lentils, peas)
Dairy products (reduced-fat milk, cheese, and yogurt, including fortified soy-based dairy alternatives)
Fruits, especially whole fruits (apples, berries, melon)
Grains, especially whole grains (quinoa, brown rice, oats)
Lean protein (chicken breast, fish, turkey breast, seafood)
Nuts and seeds (walnuts, almonds, sunflower seeds)
Oils (olive oil, avocado oil)
Vegetables of all types and dark, leafy greens (kale, spinach, broccoli, Swiss chard, green beans)
The egg diet does not provide well-rounded nutrition and does not meet USDA dietary guidelines. It is not considered a healthy, long-term diet.
Since eggs only have about 78 calories each, you're unlikely to consume enough to meet your calorie needs each day. There's also a good chance you won't have the energy to maintain regular workouts to support your metabolism on such a restrictive plan.
Overall, this diet contains healthy food, but it’s not a balanced, healthy diet. The boiled-egg diet is extremely restrictive, incredibly low calorie, and faddish. “I don’t think you should be on a diet that requires an obsession with one food,” says Lisa Young, PhD, RDN, the New York City–based author of Finally Full, Finally Slim.
The crux of the diet, eggs, is a food that’s healthy for you — just not as your only or main food. The American Heart Association says that one egg (or two egg whites) per day can be part of a healthy diet.right up arrow “Eggs make a great breakfast. A hard-boiled egg is a nutritious snack, but I think that consuming a variety of foods is a healthier way to eat,” says Dr. Young.
The good thing about eggs is that they’re high in protein. One large boiled egg offers 78 calories, 6 grams (g) of protein, 5 g of fat, 0.6 g of carbohydrates, and 0 g fiber.right up arrow “Eggs are a complete protein and contain nutrients like vitamin D and choline,” says Amy Shapiro, RD, the founder and director of Real Nutrition in New York City. A complete protein is one that contains all the essential amino acids in adequate amounts.right up arrow Choline is a nutrient that helps produce neurotransmitters that regulate memory and mood, among other functions.right up arrow
While some research has linked high-protein breakfasts that contain eggs with helping dieters shed pounds, “there’s nothing magical about eggs for weight loss,” says Shapiro.right up arrow
Side Effects of Eating Mostly Boiled Eggs
If you're looking to lose weight, nutrition experts advise counting calories to meet your goals. The USDA recommends a reduction of 500 calories per day for weight loss.9 On a 2,000-calorie diet, that's around 1,500 calories per day, but this can vary based on age, sex, weight, and level of physical activity. If you're interested in determining your calorie guidelines, you can use a calculator.
Although eggs are nutritious, the egg diet doesn't have enough variety or calories to be considered a healthy or sustainable way of eating. With such restriction, weight regain is likely. You'll also miss out on fiber, calcium, and other essential nutrients by sticking to the egg diet for more than a few days.

MORE BOOTS ON THE GROUND | ADDITIONAL 10,000 STRONG US SOLDIERS SET T0 ARRIVE POLAND THIS WEEK -
WASHINGTON, March 16 - The United States will send 10,000 additional troops to Poland, Poland's Defence Minister said late on tuesday, confirming an earlier report, as Russia military carry out more aerial around Kyiv Ukraine.U.S. Army Troops Arrive in Poland to Reassure Allies
Nearly 10,000 soldiers from the 82nd Airborne Division are now in Poland in response to the Russian deployments on Ukraine’s borders.U.S. Soldiers Arriving In Europe To Reinforce NATO Amid Russian Buildup
Zelenskyy said that Russia would need to carpet-bomb Kyiv and kill its residents to take the city. “They will come here only if they kill us all. If that is their goal, let them come,” he said.
The bombardment is still ongoing in other cities throughout the country like port city of Mariupol.
The invading forces are pounding the downtown of Mariupol with heavy shelling. Residents are hiding in an iconic mosque and elsewhere.
Russian forces continue a military assault on neighbouring Ukraine, with fighting on the streets of the capital Kyiv.
U.S. troops have begun to arrive in Europe as part of President Joe Biden's move to reinforce NATO amid concern over a Russia military buildup near Ukraine.
Biden earlier this week approved the deployment of 2,000 U.S.-based troops to Germany and Poland. He also agreed to send 1,000 U.S. soldiers currently based in Germany to Romania.
The first group of U.S. troops began arriving in Poland on February 5, Polish media reported.
As announced, the first elements of the brigade battle group from the 82nd Airborne Division of the United States Army have arrived in Poland," a Polish military spokesman said on February 5.
About 1,700 service members, mainly paratroopers from the 82nd Airborne Division, will deploy from Fort Bragg, North Carolina, to Poland "over the next days," U.S. Army sources have said.
The first additional U.S. troops arrived in Germany on February 4.
Russia has amassed more than 100,000 troops near Ukraine in what the United States has said could be a prelude to an invasion, something the Kremlin denies.
The U.S. decision to send additional troops to Europe is designed to show support to NATO allies and deter Russia from military aggression against its smaller neighbor, analysts have said.
NATO members Poland and Romania both border Ukraine.
The United States and its European allies are seeking a diplomatic solution to the crisis instigated by Russia, which is demanding sweeping security guarantees from NATO, including a promise Ukraine will never join the military alliance.
The West has rejected that demand, saying it violates core principles, including the right of sovereign nations to choose their own foreign policy.
The United States and Europe have told the Kremlin they will boost NATO's presence in Eastern Europe and impose massive sanctions on Russia in the event of an invasion of Ukraine.
With little progress so far in talks, the Biden administration announced last week it was putting 8,500 troops on heightened alert for possible departure to Europe.
They are separate from the 2,000 troops being sent to Europe now.
The United States has had tens of thousands of troops stationed in Europe since the end of World War II and can draw on them for any additional deployments to Eastern European allies.

WELCOME TO VANUATU FARMER'S MARKETS - VANUATU'S ICONIC FRUITS AND ALL VEGETABLE MARKET.
WELCOME TO VANUATU FARMER'S MARKETS - VANUATU'S ICONIC FRUITS AND ALL VEGETABLE MARKET.
The lively markets in Port-Vila offer a vast array of produce, ranging from local fruits and vegetables—yams, coconuts, pawpaw—to handicrafts and souvenirs such as carvings, jewelry and clothing. Housed in a large, covered area, the markets are open 24 hours a day, except Saturday afternoons and Sundays. Many stalls are run by women from local villages, who spend a week or two at a time in Port-Vila selling their wares. Put together a waterside picnic with some of the tropical fruit and prepared items from the food stalls.
The markets stalls are run by local woman from villages around the island. For a two week period they will leave their families and set up shop in the market. Living at the markets, sleeping at their stalls. All the villages share the market space, and take turns in selling their produce. The income is a, if not the, major source for their families.
The market is housed in a large open walled building, which lets the breezes flow through. Produce is piled high on tables and along the middle of the aisles. Take care not to trip over yams, coconuts and the likes, as I saw one fruit gazing tourist do.
Beside the ladies selling lap lap you will also see a collection of food stalls all selling different dishes. Average prices seemed to be 350 Vat. Grab a plate of food (usually meat or fish with gravy and rice), plonk yourself at one of the communal tables and enjoy the comings and goings of the markets.
Vanuatu, and particularly Port Vila, is home to a unique cultural fusion, influenced by Chinese, Melanesian, French and English culture creating an exciting blend of inspiration, arts, craft, cuisine and cultural activities from a wide range of backgrounds. This cultural phenomenon is best illustrated by the Port Vila Vanuatu markets where tourists can purchase a range of products from all of these influences surrounded by the friendly company of the locals.
Some of the most popular products available for purchase from the Vanuatu markets include locally grown farm fresh produce, island raised beef, freshly caught fish and shellfish as well as fresh baked pastries, native wines and locally grown coffees. There are also a fantastic selection of local merchandise, handicrafts, shells, flowers, antiques and souvenirs available for purchase from a number of local vendors.
Carvings are also a favourite with tourists and can be made out of everything from wood and coral to stone and even volcanic material. Occasionally these are hand painted but often are just carved into the likeness of fish, birds and other animals or more functional items such as bowls and even mini canoes. Other handmade items such as masks, woven mats and baskets, pottery and other traditional clothing and jewellery are also popular purchases.

UN NATIONS RESOLUTION VOTERS LIST -HOW 140 OUT OF 193 COUNTRIES OF THE WORLD VOTED AGAINST RUSSIA !!
UN NATIONS RESOLUTION VOTERS LIST -HOW 140 OUT OF 193 COUNTRIES OF THE WORLD VOTED AGAINST RUSSIA !!The United Nations General Assembly in New York on Thursday, voted in favour of a non-binding resolution that condemns Russia for the violence in Ukraine and demands an immediate withdrawal. Only 5 states voted against it while 35 abstained.
Ahead of the vote, 94 UN member countries had co-sponsored the resolution, signaling what is certain to be a lopsided vote against Russia, which is a member of the UN Security Council. The vote comes amid multiple efforts to wall off Russia diplomatically, a surge in the number of refugees fleeing Ukraine, and a looming humanitarian crisis within Ukraine.
In an emergency session of the UN’s general assembly, 141 of the 193 member states voted for the resolution, 35 abstained, and five voted against. The only countries to vote no in support of Moscow were Belarus, North Korea, Eritrea and Syria. Longstanding allies Cuba and Nicaragua joined China in abstaining.

The resolution said the UN “deplores in the strongest terms the aggression by the Russian Federation against Ukraine”. It demanded that “the Russian Federation immediately cease its use of force against Ukraine” and “immediately, completely and unconditionally withdraw all of its military forces”.
The resolution is not legally binding, but is an expression of the views of the UN membership, aimed at increasing pressure on Moscow and its ally, Belarus.
“It isn’t going to stop Russian forces in their stride, but it’s a pretty enormous diplomatic win for the Ukrainians and the US, and everyone who has got behind them,” Richard Gowan, UN director at the International Crisis Group, said.
Speaking before the vote, the US ambassador to the UN, Linda Thomas-Greenfield, compared the Russian invasion to the Nazi conquest of Europe.
“A few of the eldest Ukrainians and Russians might recall a moment like this, a moment when one aggressive European nation invaded another without provocation to claim the territory of its neighbour, a moment when a European dictator declared he would return his empire to its former glory and invasion that caused a war so horrific, that it spurred this organization into existence,” Thomas-Greenfield said.
The Ukrainian permanent representative, Sergiy Kyslytsya, appealed to countries considering an abstention on the grounds that “it is not my war”.
“It is a mistake. The evil will never stop. It requires more and more space to conquer. If tolerated it advances further and further,” Kyslytsya said. “The draft resolution is one of the building blocks to build a wall to stop it in Ukraine and not to let it go further.”
The Russian permanent representative, Vasily Nebenzya, repeated Moscow claims that its forces were not targeting civilian areas. He attributed the lopsided nature of the vote to behind-the-scenes coercion on member states from Ukraine’s allies.
“We know about the unprecedented pressure that our western partners are exerting on a large number of countries urging them to vote as they [the west] see fit,” Nebenzya said. “This is not something even we can call pressure. It was open and cynical threats.”
On Friday, Russia was the sole vote against a similar resolution in the security council, but because Russia is one of the five powers with a veto, the resolution was not upheld. So Ukraine’s allies referred the matter to the general assembly.
It is the first time in 40 years the security council has referred a crisis to the assembly and only the 11th time an emergency session of the UN general assembly has been called since 1950.
It was summoned under a “uniting for peace” resolution, in which global threats are referred to the body “if the security council, because of lack of unanimity of the permanent members, fails to exercise its primary responsibility to act as required to maintain international peace and security”.

KHARKIV | BUCHA MASSACRE - Tons of Russian soldiers killed, 112 injured | PRAYER FOR THE UKRAINIANS.
The Armies of both countries have been involved in intense fights since Russian troops entered Ukraine.
The Battle of Kharkiv is an ongoing military engagement taking place in and around the city of Kharkiv in Ukraine as part of the Eastern Ukraine offensive during the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Ukraine's second largest city, Kharkiv, is believed to have been one of the invading Russian military's first strategic targets. Home to 1.4 million people, it is located less than 20 miles from the Russian border, in northeast Ukraine.
It was approached by Russian troops shortly after the invasion began last Thursday, but for three days, Ukrainian forces held the Russians at bay.
What happened next offers clues to the fierce resistance Russian soldiers are meeting in Ukraine's towns and cities -- and to why they have not yet advanced as quickly as experts initially feared they would.
"The Armed Forces of Ukraine are eliminating the enemy," Synehubov reassured the residents of Kharkiv that day.
Suddenly, gunfire is heard and seen. A Russian soldier kneels quickly and fires a shoulder-launched rocket towards the area where the gunfire appears to be coming from.
They won't take Kharkiv," he insists. "They have run back to where they came from. They don't have good navigation you see. Nothing works for them. They came and were hiding behind the houses."
The troops' efforts to retreat appear to have been stopped by another attack. A convoy of vehicles -- of the same type as those seen in the previous clips -- is seen on fire in another video.

LIist of Countries Offering Citizenship by Investment(Unofficial)
Estonia-Latvia-Lithuania-Belarus-Moldova-Romania-North Macedonia (previously Macedonia)-Kosovo-Albania-Montenegro-Croatia-Bosnia & Herzegovina-Serbia-Slovenia- Slovakia- Czech Republic-UAE-Papua N
Tonga-Kyrgyzstan-Tajikistan-Uzbekistan-Maldives-Azerbaijan-Georgia
Armenia -Malta-Cyprus-El Salvador-Honduras-Nicaragua-Costa Rica-Panama-Paraguay-Colombia-Ecuador -Guatemala Guyana -Trinidad and Tobago-Saint Vincent and the Grenadines-Saint Lucia -Barbados
Antigua and Barbuda-St Kitts and Nevis-Suriname-Latvia-Lithuania
Mauritius-,Comoros-,Madagascar-,Seychelles, Turkmenistan.
There are a Many countries that offer similar things to Citizenship by investment, unofficially.
You will be able to get real citizenship and passport, of course, but these programs are not open to the public and they are not advertised.
In this case, you will qualify on some basis: either by ancestry or by extraordinary talent or skill, or the ability to potentially improve the country.
How does this work?
In lots of countries, there are provisions of law or people in power who can make it happen.
You probably heard of athletes getting citizenship in another country. Lots of countries are open about giving citizenship to sports players, so they can compete and represent that country. This is a nice gap in the system.
Of course, this doesn’t mean that it is easy to get it, but it is certainly possible. You can’t simply go and apply on this basis, it usually involves certain connections in the government.
There are some EU countries where it is possible to get citizenship using this gap in the system. If you are interested in learning more about it, please reach out to us.
Impossible citizenship to get
UAE is a very common example when people talk about impossible citizenships to obtain. You can be born and live in this country for 20 years, and you will still not be able to get it. Those are their rules – they simply don’t give citizenship to foreigners, period.
However, the ruler of the country has almost limitless power, and if he decides to give citizenship to someone that is entirely possible.
More realistic examples in Eastern Europe
Serbia is a country that doesn’t officially offer citizenship by investment, however, it is possible to get it if you are significant enough. For example, foreign investors who brought lots of money in the country and employed local people were given so-called ‘’honor citizenships’’ and a Serbian passport.
A similar thing existed in Montenegro, long before they introduced their citizenship by investment program.
Why you should consider unofficial programs?
We are big fans of unofficial programs. They are quicker and easier than the official ones.
Sometimes those programs are a lot cheaper than the official ones.
By the time you do donations in the official program and pay all the fees, for the cheapest citizenship by investment programs you’ll be spending at least 120 to 130 000 USD. And this is for the cheapest Caribbean ones, whose passports will unfortunately not get you really far. As you probably know EU official programs will cost you much, much more!
Well, we can offer you the unofficial programs that will not break your bank. They will be even cheaper than those most affordable official ones.
You will be able to save money, and still gain access to the EU.
It’s important to note that most of those Caribbean programs are well known around the world. Because of that they, unfortunately, got a bad name when it comes to banking and doing business around the world.
The perfect example of this is Dominica. They had this program for many years, and it’s well known that they sell passports. Well, if you have a Dominican passport and you walk into Swiss bank chances are they will ask you for your other passport. If you have a passport from one of these unofficial programs they will not ask. Why? Because they will not know that you purchased a second passport.
Unofficial programs will sometimes get you options that you will not be able to get otherwise.
It is very important to be aware that these programs come and go. They are not always available.
You can read more about this in our article Best time to get a second citizenship. We are familiar that back at the time it was cheap and easy to get citizenship in Bulgaria. Today this is not an option anymore. The doors closed and the opportunity is gone.
It is important to note that this is not an easy pass for criminals. They do thrill due diligence even if you apply for unofficial programs. In the case of Bulgaria, some Russian oligarchs with criminal past managed to get citizenship but it was taken away from them when the system got shut down.
Let’s say that you are a professional from a non-EU country living on a budget. This might the perfect option for you. You want to move to the EU but can’t afford 650 000 EUR for Maltese passport.

#LittleHanifamustGetJustice -MURDERED IN COLD BLOOD BY HER SCHOOL PROPRIETOR !
we received Thursday news of the abduction and eventual gruesome murder of 5-year-old Hanifa Abubakar somewhere at Kawaji, Yankaba area of Kano city with anguish. As this newspaper reported Saturday, Hanifa had been abducted since early December by the proprietor of the school she attended, Abdulmalik Muhammad Tanko, while returning home from Islamiyya. Tanko held her captive for weeks in his own home, and then poisoned her, cut her body in pieces, and buried her remains in a shallow grave in one of the two schools he runs, all the while taunting the parents to pay a N6 million ransom for her release.
The murderer confessed all of these by himself after he was apprehended by a combined team of the Police and men of the Department of State Security Services (DSS) while trying to collect the ransom money for a captive he had already killed and decapitated. His wife and two others, Hashim Isyaku and Fatima Jibreel Musa, all of Tudun Murtala Quarters, Nasarawa Local Government Area of the state are accomplices.
Hannifa’s father, who spoke to reporters amidst tears said, “those who did this to me have not been fair to me, neither have they been fair to the world. God will fight for us”. Indeed. But that fight must start here and now.
It is difficult to pinpoint which of Tanko’s acts in this chain of events is most gruesomely heartless. Is it the abduction of a 5-year-old girl who calls you ‘Uncle’, the favoured name our kids refer to their teachers? Is it waking her up from sleep and killing her with rat poison in a cup of tea? Is it watching her writhe in pain as the poison ravaged her essential organs until she died? Is it cutting her dead body in pieces, or burying her remains in the same school where other school kids would gather the following day to attend classes?
And yet, the circumstances such as had befallen Hanifa is becoming commonplace in our society in recent years. Even as we try to understand the Hanifa case, let alone recover from it, one Kabir in Zaria had kidnapped and killed 8-year-old Asma’u, fondly called Husnah by her parents, after collecting N3 million in ransom. Kabir is reportedly a neighbour to the Husnah’s parents. Also, on January 12 one Auwalu Abdulrashid, a 21-year-old man, reportedly confessed to killing and burying a 13-year-old hawker in Kano State. And in May last year, 6-year-old Muhammad Kabir was found dead in a Kaduna drainage, a week after he was taken and N5 million ransom paid for his release. Similar cases have been reported in Lagos, Rivers and Enugu and other states of the country in recent months.
Making sense of all of these is hard. But for our own good as a society, we must try. Unlike bandits roaming our forests and rampaging on our highways, the abductions of minors have occurred within victims’ homes,
neighbourhoods and schools—the three spaces in which children spend
almost their entire time—and by people we would otherwise call neighbours, teachers, and even friends or family members. That is, the perpetrators of these crimes are people we trust one way or another, but who harbour the darkest intents and lurk around our neighbourhoods for the next child victim to pounce upon. In other words, these chilling events represent the near complete breakdown of the moral order and social trust in our society today.
This is not something to which all accusing fingers should point to the state, as we are always too quick to do, but something in which we are all caught up and play a part, if for nothing else by the ease with which we forget and ‘move on’ to the next senseless atrocities involving human life. But as sociologists and social historians know only too well, collective memory is the most powerful too by which a society reproduces and re-enacts its moral values. If we all do not forget but remember, then we are all more like to say, with one voice, “no, never again must we witness such a thing among us”.
Collective memory about what is acceptable and what is not to a society is thus a social force on which all law and order is moored. We seem to have lost this over the past few decades, but we must reclaim it for our laws to function well enough to deal with situations such Hanifa’s senseless murder. As we wish her gentle soul eternal rest, we urge the authorities—particularly the police, the courts and the government of Kano State—to rise to the occasion and make her life a turning point by giving her and all victims of such murders the justice they deserve

Dominica The Best Citizenship by Investment Programme
Dominica Economic Citizenship Program legally offers individuals and families worldwide an irrevocable second citizenship and passport in only four to six months with no visit to the country required. The Caribbean island nation has an excellent international reputation, and consequently, the Commonwealth of Dominica passport provides visa-free or visa on arrival access to more than 115 countries around the world including the entire European Union, Switzerland, UK, Singapore, Russia, Brazil, and Hong Kong. The Dominica citizenship through investment program is legally entrenched in law, and since local law does not contain any restrictions on holding dual nationality, obtaining second citizenship by investment in the country is a confidential process that does not require a person to renounce their existing citizenship.
In addition to having no physical residency requirement, the Commonwealth of Dominica citizenship by investment program has no language, age, business experience, or educational requirements, and there is no mandatory interview. The economically secure country with a parliamentary democracy enjoys one of the highest standards of living in the Caribbean, has no taxes for non-residents, boasts the lowest crime rate in the entire region, and is arguably one of the most naturally beautiful places on earth with lush green mountains, countless pristine rivers and waterfalls, and stunning white and black sandy beaches. Best of all, the Commonwealth of Dominica offers the cheapest citizenship by investment program in the world with reputable second passports starting at only $100,000 USD.
Eligibility for Dominica Citizenship Program
Section 101 of the Dominica Constitution and Section 8 and Amendment 20(1) of the Citizenship Act define the investor program in law, legally granting eligible persons instant citizenship in the country by a Certificate of Naturalization. The Dominica Citizenship by Investment Unit (CBIU), a recently established government authority within the Ministry of Finance, enforces all regulations under the passport program and is the regulatory body that ensures only worthy applicants are accepted. In order to be considered eligible, the main applicant must be at least 18 years of age and must meet all the Dominica immigration requirements outlined below.
Financial Investment
To be eligible for Dominican citizenship by investment, a candidate must either make a significant economic contribution to a government fund or purchase approved real estate on the island. In both cases, the applicant must officially commit to making the investment before applying to the investor program, but does not actually have to pay in full until after approval in principle.
To qualify for Dominica citizenship by investment under this option, the following non-refundable monetary contributions must be made to the Economic Diversification Fund:
Single applicant - USD $100,000
Main applicant and spouse - USD $150,000
Main applicant, spouse, and up to 2 children - USD $175,000
Additional dependents - USD $25,000 each
Eligible siblings 18 to 25 - USD $50,000 each
These contribution amounts are significantly lower than other citizenship by investment countries in the region with comparable passports. The Dominican Economic Citizenship Program offers astounding value to its participants, and no other reputable investor citizenship program has such affordable investment criteria making Dominica the cheapest citizenship by investment program in the world. The cost to become a Dominica citizen will likely increase substantially in 2021 or 2022, bringing the country's prices more in line with other Caribbean citizenship programs
To qualify for Dominican citizenship under the real estate investment option, an applicant must buy approved real estate in the country for at least USD $200,000 and maintain ownership for a minimum of three years. If the applicant maintains ownership for five years, they are eligible to re-sell the property under the citizenship by investment program. The following government application fees are due when applying to the Dominica Economic Citizenship Program under the real estate category:
Main applicant - USD $25,000
Spouse - USD $10,000
Family of up to 4 - USD $35,000
Family of up to 6 - USD $50,000
Family of 7 or more - USD $70,000
Additional dependents - USD $25,000 each
Eligible siblings 18 to 25 - USD $50,000 each
