Land Rover Defender D300 MY21 Dual Battery Setup
Quick vid of wiring for a secondary batter in a D300 with the MHEV system
THINGS TO NOTE:
- Probably way easier to use a Narva "add a circuit" for the Accessory 12V I had no idea where the fuse box was. Anyone else wondering can check here https://www.ownerinfo.landrover.com/document/3E/2021/T19951/44152_en_GBR/proc/G2395175 this would be WAY quicker than splicing a wire like I did.
It is actually more beneficial to NOT use the wire I did because it turns on any time you open a door. Better to use F16 or F17 fuse which only has power when engine is running.
- You will need a T30 Torx, T40 Torx, allen keys and likely a 3/8" +T40 Torx socket to get the tailgate latch off
If you don't have MHEV you will need to bring wires through from the front battery - someone else posted about that here https://landroverforums.com/forum/2020-defender-60/p300-rear-storage-dual-battery-104302/page3/
Hope this helps someone else thinking about this projects :-D

Landrover Discovery 5: How to Remove the Headrests/Restraings
Here's a quick video of how to remove the restraints. Land Rover have a manual page available here https://www.ownerinfo.landrover.com/document/3D/2020/T22673/36236_en_GBR/proc/G1975755 but its not the easiest to follow so hopefully this video helps
Note that you can do the same process for the second row seats but its much more difficult to pull down the material to see the tab.

STOL stands for short take off and landing. This is a short set of videos from one of the competitions on Day 1.
Luskintyre Airfield is a grass only field surrounded by hangars committed to restoration of vintage aircraft. It is known for having the largest fleet of operational Tiger Moths in Australia. Luskintyre is in close proximity to Rutherford NSW Australia.
The OZ-Stol competition held annually is a great day out with planes on display and at night, bon fires, food and under wind camping.
