The Pakistani all-rounder, Hussain Talat stuck around for some time along with Chris Green. The Knights brought back Ruben for his fourth over, where he broke the partnership and got Hussain Talat out on a bouncer, forcing him to play a pull shot straight to the fielder. It was looking difficult for the Wolves to even cross the mark of 100 runs, but a late blitz from the Wolves tail-enders took them to a score of 129.
The Knights' opening pair of Fakhar Zaman and Mohammad Rizwan looked in no hurry to chase the total. They settled in comfortably and then played their strokes. It was the leading wicket-taker of the tournament, Logan van Beek to provide a breakthrough for the Wolves, getting rid of Fakhar Zaman. The Knights shuffled their batting order, sending Corbin Bosch at number 3. Bosch along with Rizwan cruised their way to the target. The energy from Rizwan was outstanding during the whole match, at no point did it seem that Rizwan travelled from Colombo to Toronto overnight. He was running ones and twos, diving across to make it to the crease, and was determined to chase the total. Both these batters made the chase comfortably without any fuss.
The Knights won by 9 wickets in the end with 2.5 overs to spare.
