Woman Silenly Praying in the U.K. is Arrested for "Violating Public Spaces Protection Order"
December 22, 2022
He says, "So, I'll ask you once more, will you voluntarily come with us now to the police station for me to ask you some questions.... "
Why? He'd already been asking her questions, & she complied (foolishly, IMO) and answered him very politely and without protest or resistance!
At any rate, her answer was, "If I've got a choice, then no." Obviously, his response, as "soft-spoken" as it may have been, was a power play and quite belligerent at that!
He *should* have simply responded, "No, you do not have a choice. You either must volunteer to come with us, or we will arrest you."
She *clearly* said the words, "If I've got a choice..." What's wrong with guys who love to power play women obviously of no physical threat in any way? Maybe Britain (or wherever in the U.K. this happened) needs to do a bit of logic training for their police?
I saw many comments on twitter along the lines of "They clearly state she was under suspicion for something else that happened, not just praying."
No. False. They may have stated some *statute* being used as an *excuse* for arresting her, but they never once "clearly stated" that anything else had happened, nor did they explain how in this crazy world she was violating anybody or thing by standing there silently. The excuse-makers need to think before they write such absurdities.
The other thing this officer said, which seemed to be presumptive that a violation *had* occurred (as though she was already presumed to be guilty) was, "Your arrest is necessary in order for a prompt and effective investigation *to the offence*."
Then, only after he'd already asked her questions, he gives their version of the United States' Miranda rights. What about anything she's already said voluntarily? What if she had said she'd go voluntarily to the police station to answer questions (which, in a way, she *did* say, in that she only wouldn't do it if she had a choice, and he had failed to tell her she didn't have a choice in the matter!)
This is nuts. I don't know how their laws work. Maybe that's considered acceptable there. But, fellow U.S. citizens, don't complacently think, "I'm glad we don't have that kind of Orwellian baloney going on here."
Not only *do* we already have plenty of it going on, it's not looking to get better anytime soon. Do you honestly think we still have a free and just country, with the separation of powers our Forefathers intended? If so, you're very naive.

EV Muscle Car - Predicted Long Ago! (movie clip)
Dodge went back to a decade+ old movie to use their great idea!
There may be The Dilemma remaining, though. Fossil fuels are still needed to *make* enough electricity to run all the soon-to-be-mandated vehicles of all kinds that run only *on* electricity.
In fact, at this time, it seems electricity is not only becoming more expensive, but scarcer all the time. Sigh. Man plans & God laughs, as they say. So... we might as well laugh, too!
(ha ha ha)
And, yes, it *is* a Charger. But the kitty is so cute. (EV Dodge muscle car is still a concept at this date.)
Our muscle cars go "vRUM vRUM".
