How I Learned The Full Splits in 30 Days
In this video, I show you how I was able to learn the full splits in 30 days of stretching, using a short, simple, and straightforward stretching routine that I put together! With this routine, I was able to increase my body flexibility and achieve the full splits as a complete beginner, in just a few short weeks! :)
I have never really been the most flexible guy, but I've always admired and wanted the ability to do the splits. So one day, I decided to challenge myself to learn the full middle splits as quickly as I could (while still being safe!!!). And with a bit of commitment and a lot of effort, I was able to increase my flexibility by a surprising amount in just 4 weeks! Hope you enjoy the video and find some value in it!
This is my first time ever doing something like this (recording, editing, and speaking in a video) and even though it was a difficult, slightly embarrassing, and sometimes frustrating process, I quite enjoyed it and I'm proud of the end result! Posture Correction and Breathing - Tight Muscles? - Fix your Diaphragm FIRST!
Most people think that muscles get tight and weak and that the remedy is to stretch and strengthen.
However, how we breathe and our physical structure likely have a much greater impact on the position and function of muscles than actual strength or length of any given muscle.
After all, the body is not a separate collection of muscles, bones and tendons, but rather an integrated system interdependent on inputs and outputs from every body system.
Keeping in mind the asymmetry of our organs, the asymmetry of the diaphragm, the asymmetry of our neurology, and the asymmetrical movement behaviors that emerge, we can look at managing these asymmetries as a powerful strategy to improve posture, alignment, performance and health.
Before you go and strengthen individual muscles, consider affecting physical structure through manipulation of internal pressure management via positioning, breathing and intentional but global strategies to change movement behaviors.
Once you have affected the system on this more elemental level, you can see what is left rather than individually spending time treating all the symptoms (weak and tight muscles).

Lateral Pelvic Tilt Correction - Left Hamstring Progression
A lateral pelvic tilt is a postural impairment that occurs when the space between the rib cage and pelvis is altered so that one side is "hiked up" relative to the other side. This is part of normal gait mechanics when either side can hike and un-hike in an alternating fashion, but when one side stays hiked while the other is less hiked, without alternation, the lateral pelvic tilt can become problematic from a movement standpoint.
Not all lateral pelvic tilts are created equal. A left and a right lateral pelvic tilt *usually* involve an orientation of the body to the right.
To address a left vs. a right lateral pelvic tilt, more emphasis is needed on the musculature of the posterior thigh, including the hamstring. In contrast, on the right, activities that teach opening of the space between the pelvis and the rib cage might be adequate. On the left, this is unlikely to work.
In this video, we demonstrate a hamstring progression to enhance ability to engage the musculature of the posterior thigh without excessive activity of the back extensors. By achieiving posterior expansion, the sacrum and spine can reorient to the left, improving hip range of motion, rib movement, and ability to shift weight in an alternating fashion, which over time will help reduce the excessive activity of the left posterior thorax and sacrum responsible for a left lateral pelvic tilt.

How To FIX Forward Head Posture (Hunched Forward) with 3 EASY Exercises
In this video, Dr. Jon Saunders (Newmarket Chiropractor) will show you how to fix forward head posture (hunched forward posture) with 3 easy exercises. Forward head posture (FHP) is one of the most common faulty postural patterns in today's movement deficient lifestyle.
MOST people are unable to correct froward head posture because they believe a single exercise or stretch will fix it - IT WON'T! If FHP was easy to fix, no one would have it and this video would be unnecessary. While it can take some effort and time to correct forward head posture or correct hunched forward posture, applying the 3 exercises I demonstrate in this video will HELP get the process started.
We need to address 1) weakening of multiple muscle groups (endurance) 2) Focus on the area of the spine that is often neglected (and it's not the neck) and 3) Stretch the ligaments for "creep" to happen. I will show you how to do this in this video - do this for 30 days and let me know in the comments if your posture improves - it will! :)

Release Neck & Shoulder Tension in 30 seconds: NO STRETCHING| Feldenkrais Style
In this short video, I will show you a super simple exercise to release your neck and shoulder tension in just 30 seconds. And this does not involve stretching or massage.
After you try this exercise and feel a change, I explain why your shoulder and neck muscles keep getting tight and you are having to keep stretching and massaging all the time, then I explain why this simple exercise can release your shoulder and neck tension so quickly without stretching. This is very important to understand.
As for how many reps, sets, how many times/day, whether you should do just one side or both sides, here's my recommendation/suggestion:
- You can do this awareness exercise on whichever side you feel tension, but there is no harm in doing on both sides.
- Reps, sets are not very important. Your attention to your body and moving slowly are more important. You can do this exercise as many times as you would like as it can remind you and your nervous system of your habitual tension. I personally find it very helpful to do this exercise while driving and doing desk work as these daily activities are often associated with increased muscular tension in neck and shoulders.

You can see how small and slow and mindful movement can make a big difference.
