Rep Troy Nehls Demands US Marshal Director to Investigate Assault on Ronald Colton McAbee in DC Jail
Where is Lieutenant Crystal Lancaster?
Where is Lieutenant Crystal Lancaster’s body camera footage?
What was the conclusion of the US Marshals investigation into this assault?
Doesn’t the Use of Force Model require that even if an inmate is passivity resistant, an officer would not be authorized to use chemical munitions unless an inmate is assaultive?
If video footage were to show that Mr. McAbee was not assaultive, would Lieutenant Lancaster have violated Colton’s Civil Rights Under the Color of Law?
Thank you Representative Troy Nehls for getting a commitment from the US Marshals to assist in this investigation

Ronald Colton McAbee Rendering Life-Saving Aid to Rosanne Boyland & Helping Police Officers
Former sheriff’s deputy Ronald Colton McAbee, 28, of Tennessee, has faced a difficult road since being indicted for alleged criminal actions at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. Arguably the most trying situation for McAbee was being denied bail for nearly a year based on video evidence that his attorney now says exonerates him. “What makes the government’s case weak is the fact that the videos actually exonerate Mr. McAbee of the very allegations made against him, and Mr. McAbee is motivated to appear for trial, take the stand and narrate those videos for [the] jury,” Attorney said. https://www.theepochtimes.com/exclusive-video-used-to-charge-jan-6-defendant-exonerates-him-on-charge-of-assaulting-police-attorney-says_4619418.html
[McAbee's charges] sounds horrible. But then when you find out that actually—if you listen to the audio as you watch the video, Madam Speaker—you find out he was helping a Capitol policeman who was down. Yet, this judge [Sullivan] has the audacity to say, we are not listening to the audio, so he could hear that evidence. Why wouldn’t you listen to the evidence as well as watch a video that gives a false impression? Why? Then to chastise this guy and punish him even more because he was law enforcement, he should have known better than to assault a police officer, but he wasn’t. The judge [Sullivan] doesn’t want the facts to get in the way. He is too busy being a tyrant and punishing January 6 defendants while they are in pretrial and punishing them with pretrial. People need to answer for the tyranny of our justice system as it has become. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=46P2nB2xmoE
Despite audio and video evidence showing former Tennessee sheriff’s deputy Ronald Colton McAbee did not assault a police officer on the Capitol steps on Jan. 6 as alleged by prosecutors, a federal judge again refused the defendant’s motion to be released from the District of Columbia jail pending trial. McAbee was outside the Lower West Terrace tunnel during some of the worst violence on Jan. 6, 2021. Several times, he tried to render lifesaving aid to a dying Rosanne Boyland, 34, of Kennesaw, Georgia. https://www.theepochtimes.com/judges-latest-refusal-to-grant-bail-looms-large-for-jan-6-defendant-maced-twice-by-d-c-jail-guard_4736698.html
One of the men who tried in vain to rescue a lifeless 34-year-old Rosanne Boyland on the Lower West Terrace of the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, told her parents in an emotional letter that he is haunted by what happened that day and pledged to keep her story alive until there is justice in the case. “I apologize for it taking me two years to say this, but I am sorry for what happened to Rosanne,” Ronald “Colt” McAbee said in a handwritten note to Bret and Cheryl Boyland of Kennesaw, Georgia. “I am sorry that I couldn’t reach her in time. Lord knows I tried.” https://www.theepochtimes.com/exclusive-rosanne-boylands-would-be-rescuer-pens-emotional-letter-to-her-parents_4997915.html
Ronald McAbee was an active deputy sheriff when he tried to protect Roseanne Boyland’s life, and he picked up an assault on a police officer charge and is looking at decades in jail for trying to save lives. (Rosanne Boyland was killed by police that day.) https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2023/01/interview-micki-witthoeft-want-somebody-explain-cant-lay-flowers-murdered-daughter-steps-capitol-audio/
