"Ghost Orbs" make return Visit
You may know where these Orbs originate, but we have been trying to figure it out for weeks, but no luck. All we know is once in a while, one will show up for a few second, however March 28, 2024 they decided to spend more time in front of our cameras. This telephoto camera seemed to record the most, but other cameras capture their share. If you see one and it moves off the scene, don't give up, within a minute another will show up.

Raccoons vs Deer - Size Matters
When your acreage and timber located in the middle of town is covered with all types of native wild game it is hard not to put our some corn now and then. Sometimes surveillance cameras catch something unexpected.

"Ghost" Orbs Pay A Visit
Our backyard security camera frequently catches things that we are unable to logically explain, we just call them our Ghost Orbs. Sometimes they are slightly larger, but many times they are drastically smaller. Most are only caught on playback, except this one that visited a few seconds after 10:28 p.m. Jan. 31, 2024 while we were watching for nightly wildlife visitors. The Org stayed in front of the camera for less than a half of a minute. Sometimes the Orbs have been caught on two cameras at same time.

Moose lunchtime at the Ranch
Stepping out of the cabin to take a hike, had to put the brakes on and sit down on the porch chair as quietly as possible to avoid startling the cow Moose that was grabbing a snack less than 30 feet away. Just another reason we love Arapaho Ranch Cabins, surrounded by the 690 acre Arapaho Ranch Nature Reserve, located just minutes away from Nederland, CO, one of the most authentic mountain towns left.
Short trip through green Pines and golden Aspens
About 20 minutes from Arapaho Ranch Cabins, our favorite annual hangout near Nederland, CO. this one minute section of highway from CO-72 to Brainard Lake Reactional Area is alive with fall colors of green Pines and golden Aspens.
Deer steal Racoon food
A couple deer come in out of the darkness to steal food, put out for neighborhood Racoons. They trigger the lights as they eat, but freeze to turn them off, however food supply causes motion and lights. Cycle is repeated for 15 minutes before they decide to leave.
