Pursuit in Stolen Car, Driver Flees on Foot, NEW WILLARD, June 19, 2022 - At approximately 6:30 am on June 19, 2022, Trooper Chris Cain with the Texas Highway Patrol spotted a navy blue 2011 Buick Enclave south-bound on US-59. The driver was speeding. Trooper Cain attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver chose to evade. Pursuit was established as the driver quickly exceeded 100 miles per hour. The pursuit continued south-bound and the driver crossed into the north-bound lanes (oncoming traffic). The driver nearly had a head on collision with a north-bound vehicle. The driver then appeared to intentionally leave the pavement to the left drove up an embankment and finally stopped. The driver then jumped out of the vehicle and fled on foot. Cain got to the vehicle and detained the passenger, Elisha Mouton, 20, of Longview.

As It Turns Out...
The vehicle was found to be stolen out of Longview. Mouton claimed that he didn't know the driver, didn't know his name, and that he had only hitched a ride with him. At time of press, (11 am, 06/19/22), the driver remains at large and a manhunt is underway. The driver has allegedly been identified (by Longview Police Department) as 21 year old Antiney Henderson, of Longview. As far as Mouton, he has an extensive criminal history, but his story couldn't be disproven and he was allowed to go. The stolen vehicle was recovered by Ken's Towing and will be stored at Harrison Body Shop in Livingston.
