Bangladeshi city of Chittagong struggles with plastic waste pollution

Plastic waste has clogged the streets and drains of Chittagong, the second-largest city in Bangladesh, and scientists have warned that potentially toxic microplastics could enter the food chain. To combat the issue, the country has announced an eight-year plan to reduce plastic waste by a third.
