A Busy Work Weekend At The Off Grid Project And Tiny House N6

I had some friends over from Canada and the UK helping out at the off grid homestead and my tiny home on the weekend. We got a lot done and cleaned up the whole meadow.

Some friends from church came over on the weekend to help out on my house and at the off grid homestead. Two from Canada and two from the UK.

My carpenter friend came to help out on the tiny house. He worked on the front of the house and put on the fascia and the soffit. He first drilled the holes that will allow my ceiling to vent out and prevent condensation. Then he closed it all up and screwed the front roof trim down in place nicely.

I have all the materials do finish the back of the house as well including the rain gutters. But this will take time for me to get done and I need good weather as well.

The rest of us cleaned up the entire meadow in front of the tiny house on wheels.

We got all of the wood and brush moved out from around the large rock in front of my tiny cottage. Everything is neatly stacked up outside by the wood piles where they should be.

The tent out front was taken down and neatly put away. All the tools were put away for winter. The table saw and generator were moved behind the tiny house and placed on pallets so I can keep working out back but out of sight of the front yard.

All the wood scraps were sorted for either burning in the wood stove or for use inside the tiny house. These are from the framing and paneling in the tiny home.

Good scraps of paneling were put behind the tiny house on pallets to keep them clean and off the ground.

The off grid homestead is really looking good now. I can walk around and how things without embarrassment now and show my meadow.

It feels really good to be able to look out front at a clean yard again.

Thanks go to all my friends who helped out and made this a nice place again.
