Made Some Beautiful Sea Shell Aluminum Casting Paper Weights

I quickly melted down some aluminum in my Vevor furnace and made sea shell paper weights as gifts for my family members. I got a lot of free aluminum this weekend during the garage sales and wanted to experiment with casting sea shells.

I had no talcum powder so these are not as perfect as they can be. I used real sea shells in the casting sand and some rubber stamps I got at a garage sale.

The aluminum was some left over from a ladder I had cut and melted and also some scrap I got this weekend for free.

The shells turned out really nice. The stamps can be much better with powder to help separate them from the casting sand. I will try again soon.
