The mainstream media has been telling everyone that The Little Mermaid is suffering from review bombing and that is why the results at the box office have been incredibly low.

The truth of the matter is audiences are absolutely fed up with these live-action remakes that alter the source material superficially, like in this movie where Ariel has been race-swapped and if you dare question the change, you are labelled all the buzz words in the book.

I think that Disney could be looking at a complete dumpster fire, The Little Mermaid may not even break even; if you compare this release to 2019's Aladdin, yet another live-action remake, the international box office was double that of the domestic and this is the case for most movies but the only film to contradict this in recent years is The Little Mermaid which its domestic is double that of the international.

Studios get the majority of their profits from overseas countries, the international areas of the planet so it is clearly obvious that with the movie failing outside of America, we could be looking at this losing money.

Woke Hollywood needs to change their tactics because the old guard is running out of influence and the Iron Age of creators, the age of independence is rising.
