Overlanding Solo as a woman in Guatemala (EP 57)

This week is a bit of a special episode, Mathilde overlands on her own in Guatemala and hikes some of the highest volcanos of the country solo!

Last week Nick left Guatemala to go guide a motorcycle tour in Morocco. That gives Mathilde two weeks to go enjoy some solo travelling around the country. It is also the occasion to answer all the questions on whether it is dangerous to overland and hike alone as a woman. Before embarking on that journey i have one more thing to do, i need to help our friend Tom rally the Salvadorian border.

Although Mathilde travelled a lot on her own, it is the first time she does it with a vehicle. With it comes different types of new challenges and skills to learn, who would shy in front of a new experience like this one? Not us! So in this episode, Mathilde embarks on her journey through some of the most iconic and highest volcanos of Guatemala while figuring out how to handle her and the vehicles security in this new country.

Travelling solo: Plan wisely, trust your instincts and enjoy the ride!

Hope you enjoyed the ride, if you want to travel the world with us, subscribe to the channel!

Until next week, take care!
