Why You Need to Try Digital Detoxing
If you’ve never heard of digital detoxing, do your mental health a favor and watch this video.
It’s become apparent in the last few years that social media, pornography, and even the news can have a negative effect on your mental health.
Digital detoxing, an emerging trend, is when you voluntarily stop using digital devices like smartphones, tablets, laptops and TVs.
Not forever, but for certain periods of time like a few hours, a day, or a week.
Similar to the positive effects detoxing has on your body, digital detoxing gives your brain and psyche a break to heal and rejuvenate.
For me, I usually take Sunday’s off to digitally detox, spending time outside, playing games, and calling family.
If you’re overwhelmed, uncertain, depressed or angry, try digital detoxing to clear the cobwebs from your mind.
You’ll might be surprised by the mind-clearing results.
