These fritters are made with bread slices stuffed with a spicy potato filling, coated in a flavorful gram flour batter, and then deep fried to golden perfection. They are perfect for any occasion and are sure to become a favorite in your household.

Bread pakora Recipe:

Ingredients:

For the potato filling:

2 cups mashed potatoes
1 tablespoon finely chopped onions
3 tablespoons chopped coriander leaves
1 teaspoon red chili powder
1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
1/2 teaspoon garam masala
1 teaspoon salt

For the bread pakoras:

14 Bread slices
2 cups gram flour (besan)
1/8 cup corn flour
3/4 teaspoon red chili powder
1/3 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon salt
Water as needed
Oil for deep frying

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Batter:
In a bowl, add gram flour (besan), corn flour, red chili powder, turmeric powder, salt and mix well.
Gradually add water while stirring continuously to make a smooth and slightly thick batter.

2. Prepare the Potato filling:
Add the mashed potatoes, chopped onions, coriander leaves, red chili powder, cumin powder, garam masala and salt in a bowl. Mix well and set aside.

3. Assemble the Bread Pakoras:
Take a bread slice and spread 2 tablespoons of the prepared potato filling evenly on it.
Cover it with another slice of bread and press gently to seal the edges.
Cut the filled bread into two triangles.

4. Fry the Bread pakoras:
Heat oil in a wok over medium heat.
Dip each bread triangle into the prepared batter, ensuring it's coated evenly on all sides.
Carefully slide the coated bread pakoras into the hot oil.
Fry until they turn golden brown and crispy on both sides.
Once fried, remove the bread pakoras from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
Serve hot with ketchup, green chutney or tamarind chutney.
