Alleged Intoxicated Driver Resists Arrest After Hitting Motorcycle, SPRING CREEK, July 5, 2021 - At approximately 9:51 am on July 5, 2021, a red 2016 Honda motorcycle, driven by Anthony Stuart Glenn, 51, of Houston, was west-bound on US-190 West, when (according to numerous witnesses) an east-bound gray 2021 Buick Enclave, driven by Briann Nicole Black, 23, of Onalaska, entered his lane (head on). Black's vehicle struck Glenn's motorcycle. Glenn's motorcycle left the pavementment to the right and crashed. Black turned around and parked on the shoulder of the west-bound side. Allegiance Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with the Onalaska Volunteer Fire Department, Deputies with the Polk County Sheriff Office, and Troopers Kevin Burman, Ashlee White, Corporal Ramey Bass, and Sergeant Sam Lattner with the Texas Highway Patrol. Glenn was checked by EMS personnel and released when he refused treatment. Briann Black was not injured. After hearing Black's slurred speech, Trooper Burman administered a field sobriety test on Black. It was determined that Black was intoxicated. When Burman attempted to place cuffs on her, she resisted. Burman and Lattner quickly got her under control, cuffed, and loaded into a unit. Black was transported to CHI Livingston Hospital for a blood sample for toxicology purposes. Black was charged with driving while intoxicated with a small child in the car (felony), and resisting arrest. Glenn's motorcycle was totaled. Both vehicles were recovered by George White & Sons Wrecker Service and will be stored in Onalaska.
